I'll be doing a Q&A as an NBA RUclipsr this coming Wednesday 10/23 in NYC: www.meetup.com/Influencer-Cornell-Tech/events/265685530/?isFromReg=true Correction: 0:58: 2004 NBA Draft*
One of my absolute favorite Bulls ever. Worked his tail off, never complains, stepped up when ever asked. I wish he would have accepted the deal in 2016 so he never left. Bulls #9 will always be Deng if you ask me. Role model NBA player!
Love your content. Meningitis is diagnosed by a lumbar puncture (spinal tap). It isn't out of the question that he received a spinal tap due to exhibiting signs of meningitis , but the test ended up being normal. This doesn't mean the medical staff made a mistake. CSF leakage is a risk of the procedure, so it's unfortunate that he subsequently suffered through that, but again, doesn't necessarily mean he was mismanaged medically
I've seen people overrate Luol Deng saying that he's a HOF etc. That's ridiculous. He was just a good player and was an All Star solely because he was in the East which was arguably at its weakest between 2010-2015.
I agree that he is not a HOF but I do think league polotics played a part in his NBA career. The closes comparison I can think of is Pernell Whitaker. I am not saying Deng is to basketball what Whitaker was to boxing, but the parallel is that they are both better than what their respective leagues will remember and celebrate them as. The fans appreciate them more than organization they were involved in.
he was like Tony Parker, Rip Hamilton, Chauncey Billups & the mid 2000s pistons in general, Iguodala, Danny Green, an overachiever that you need on your team to get crucial things done
This was a tragedy that didn't have to happen. In Wilson's words "a travesty" lol. But Coach Thib's bad habit of running his players into the ground along with the Bulls probably having the worst medical staff in the league at that time lead to drastic issues for D Rose and Deng's career.
@WilsonSy he wasn't a flashy or star player but he could help a young an upcoming team win. Bulls were good and Luol come from humble beginnings. We are from the same country I don't know where he went to high school. Most likely in Chicago
@@WilsonSysometimes people get away without being a LeBron or Kobe but he has a high IQ few turnovers and Ben Gordon was great. I started playing Basketball late in like 2004 and really like Detroit
I’m sorry, good sir, but if your team starts off 0-9, your team is ANYTHING but up-and-coming. It’s just straight trash. I don’t care how young you are, if you’re trash trash, you’re _trash_ trash.

He was drafted 04 not 05
"Disaster of a bust" 😂😂😂😂 that's should be your next shirt
Dang, in NYC? Honestly, I wish this can be streamed live.
As a Bulls fan, nothing but respect for Luol Deng! I'm so happy he will retire as a Bull.
Dude’s making bank off Real Sstate
Luol played with my favorite shooter Ben Gordon, I loved watching them play on TNT.
He’s good, was one of my favorite players.
This man was Kawhi before Kawhi so much love and respect for Deng a hardworking Role Model
I never knew luol was such a good guy. I got a new respect for him now

The most underrated youtuber
2:00 Andres Nocioni 🐐
Andre's kukoc
Man wasn't taken care of by the teams he played for. He was good but could have been better if he had a healthy career
One of the best 2 way players in Bulls history no doubt
he was a solid player great defender
Oh man if I were still in NYC, I would have loved to meet up with you and the community.

He only had a cold , they misdiagnosed him and fucked him
Nice video about Deng .Next made a video about Tony Parker
“Absolute travesty!” 😂
The truth about Luol Dent’s career is that Thibodeau ran him into the ground
I would come to the nyc qna but I live in australia
No excuse.. book the flight
PowderHeight I’m 14
He was OP in 2K13
Wish he could have played one last game with the bulls
So wait. He got drafted at age 19? That means he's 34! He's not even that old!
injuries will do that
absolutely OWNING and DEMOLISHING!!! i like that slow build up in that statement

makis papachristou The Bulls fucked everything for misdiagnosing him
No sane fan considers Deng to be a HOFer. Hall of Very Good.

I liked him as a vet on the lakers
Please do a collapse of Stan Van Gundy. Because, he had the same controversy with the infamous Josh Howard that costed the team title.
*You thought luol deng wasn't gonna appear in a Wilson sy video, but here he is*
The Bulls should have kept Lamarcus Aldridge and Ben Gordon. That would have helped them with scoring.
Bro’s a real estate tycoon
Top 3 player of all time
Luol Deng is goat
that intro was aggressive😂
04 draft
2004 draft, not 2005. Small mistake Wilson 😊
My bad, I remember him playing in 2005 playoffs, sometimes that confused me
