I think its more to do with the fact hes just at peace with who and what he currently is. He said in a current interview hes not in Memphis to babysit, but hes fully aware of what his purpose in Memphis is.

Just the sheer strength he has shown throughout his career fighting grueling injuries and proving so many times he can still ball with the best of them, changing his style to be able to stay in the league for so long, it's crazy. The confidence was there since he came in the league and has never faded away. There's no one like D Rose.

Growing up i loved playing basketball but Because of watching Drose and all his injuries as soon as i got a little ankle sprain or knee pain i instantly thought i would end up like him too. Now obviously i dont think i would have been good enough to go D-1 or anything but i stopped playing because of nagging injuries. Imagine how crazy the NBA would be if Rose never got hurt, a matchup with Steph, the Bulls and Cavs rivalry, Derrick vs some many other guards would’ve been a treat! I think he's the most explosive player to the rim I've ever seen. He is so fast, it's unbelievable

The way we embrace this man speaks to highly of the NBA community. A lot of other sports would clown a guy like this, but we almost always wrap our arms around him and appreciate what he gives us

Injuries took away what could’ve been one of the best players to ever play in the NBA. Rose is one of my fav players of all time and he definitely is the biggest “what if” player for me.

Good for him for still playing, very sad that his potential was stripped from him in a split second

Wade said the big three would’ve been him bron and rose ,Bosh wasn’t included in that bulls deal . After that fell through then Bosh came into play and they all went to Miami

Surprised you didn’t go into more detail about that Minnesota stop. He had a good showing in the playoffs against the rockets and had his first healthy offseason in years which led to him really transforming his game which is basically the reason he’s still here today.
