One tip I have for giving your make up done very quickly is to use powder foundation rather than a liquid or cream. With a powder foundation you can quickly buff it all over your face within less than a minute that’s what I do when I don’t have time. The Laura, Geller powder foundation which is baked works very nicely and stays all day on my oily complexion.
Thanks so much for answering my question! The Lisa Eldridge lip liners indeed last very long for sure and are so pigmented :) I recommend Korean and Japanese SPFs for under makeup, they feel literally like nothing and are like a normal light moisturiser you won't notice you are wearing sunscreen at all, plus most are SPF50 PA++++. Skin1004, Biore, Haru Haru chemical sunscreen, Tocobo, Manyo Hyaluronic hydrating sunscreen, Dear Klairs all day airy mineral sunscreen and Kose Suncut UV perfect gel are a few of my faves for under makeup
Oil free/matte SPF is a must, along with a matte primer, matte foundation AND powder for us oily girls. In summer, and in spite of my mature skin, I have to leave (bake) the loose powder for as long as possible before dusting off. Ironically, I also suffer from dry under eyes, so the trick which really works for me is use a hydrating cream under the eyes, allow this to absorb fully, then go in with a lighter eye oil, Kora has a great one. Swipe under your eyes, allow to dry (5min) then apply concealer.
Oh, yes! The Tatcha "Silk SPF 50 Weightless Mineral Sunscreen" is my favorite! I have very sensitive skin, and it never irritates my skin. My wallet is another story.
I live in Singapore and have the same problem re sunscreen. A lot that I usually choose are fine when I’m back in Australia but can’t handle the Southeast Asia humidity. I’ve tried a bunch and the best I’ve found is Biore Aqua Rich (but a variety of Biore sunscreens are great) and they tend to be readily found and affordable in Asia.
I was in Thailand last Xmas, and my normal spf was greasy. And I normally have oily skin so my spf has a good dry down minimal to no shine. They r no match for Thailand! I just gave up trying to wear foundation, just to have less on my face. Constant powdering all the time. It’s just the weather in Thailand 🤷🏻♀️
I have put on concealer before foundation ever since I started using concealer as well as foundation. It does seem to result in a very full coverage look even when I wasn't aiming for that. Presumably if I used concealer after foundation I would use less and therefore might end up with the medium coverage look I am aiming for? I am using No 7 concealer and MAC foundation.
Hello! If I can weigh in on the makeup staying on the nose bit! I have terrible allergies and sinus problems and I’ve learned how to do it haha. the trick is using a very non-budgy concealer or foundation on just your nose and right underneath it only, as that kind of foundation is just too much these days for the whole face. The two best ones that do NOT come off are the infamous Estée Lauder double wear foundation and the Mac Pro long wear concealer in the glass tube. Set that nice with powder baking style and it should last better than any other foundation and concealer out there. They’re quite cakey products imo so I wouldn’t use all over that face, just that stubborn nose
Hi, Charlotte!!! Great video as always, tons of useful tips, thank you!!! For the person with the greasy SPF concern, I would recommend the Tir Tir Off the Sun Cotton Stick, for retouching throughout the day. It has SPF50 and a mattifying effect. That’s the brand that I have but there are plenty of Korean brands with similar products 😉
re: spf (first question), this is the bane of my existence too. what i do is i choose a foundation that’s on the matte side, such as the lisa eldridge one, bc even though my natural skin is normal to dry, with spf on it’s def oily :)
Thanks for this very helpful video. I starter using PML motherships palettes thanks to your videos, though I must admit that I’m very attracted by the Tom Ford quads, which I’m collecting, especially when they are on sale. They are not that bad, come on 😅😅😅😅love you and your beautiful community, happy xmas y’all
You need to look at the ingredient list. The first ingredient is usually water or silicone basically anything ending in …one is oil based sometimes it’s found on the brands own website failing that email them 😅
A tip for buying concealers: don't go for the expensive brands right away. Try a couple of cheapies first to get an idea of what is out there. Maybelline, Catrice, Max Factor or even Elf do pretty good concealers. Buy different textures, finishes and colors to play with. You'll know quickly enough what works for you and what doesn't. Once you know better what you like you can upgrade to the more luxurious brands and make a better choice. Bonne chance!

I second these SPF recommendations. I love the Biore and the Haruharu Wonder Sunscreen in the yellow tube.
I agree with the Haru Haru!
In Australia there is an SPF from Cancer Council which is matte and able to be used under makeup.
I’d add the Purito spf50 which is great under make-up and the Decorte one, though a bit more expensive. I will try the ones you suggested, thanks

Tatcha makes a beautiful non greasy spf, it’s in the blue squeeze bottle and it has ingredients that help with pores. It’s one of my favorites. 💜💜💖

@ Tatcha is available from Sephora and they also have their own website.

How I match lipstick and blush: I use the lipstick as a blush too😊....unless I'm using a lipgloss alone, that always works 🎉
Love the color of your nails 💚
I started using lip tints first for more special occasions after some embarrassing lip color fading incident 😅
How to differentiate between silicon based n water based foundation??? TIA .. n yes, really useful video Charlotte, plz continue them.. 😊
