@@obelisk1784Mexicans are only dominant in the rest of the US but MIAMI good Luck finding a Mexican in Miami you gotta drive all the way down to the fields in homestead to find one while Cubans and Nicaraguans are the largest Hispanic backgrounds in Miami and you can find a Cuban cafeteria & Nicaraguan fritanga in every corner but NO taco places in sight

@@obelisk1784 same thing for people in Florida we don’t know what tacos or Mexican food is. here we prefer lechón or croquetas and some Gallo pinto. Mexican food and culture are irrelevant in most of Florida and nonexistent in Miami except in the plantations down in homestead

Fritanga truck in Portland now... Papa's Frita... so bomb. Owner is creative as heck, too. You can order a typical Fritanga or something unique like a Fritanga Burger or some loaded Yuca fries with maduro, queso frito, ensalada nica, and a bomb sauce he calls mombacho sauce. I'm so glad we have this in Portland now.

If you live in Miami and go to the clubs you’ve definitely gone to Jambo or pinolandia at 3 am and raid those two Nicaraguan restaurants
all of this and no quesillo!? quesillo is arguably the most unique nicaraguan dish. Never encountered a dish quite like it.
Yes quesillo is typical. But this dish is a typical dish you would get at the fritanga. With a glass of cacao or semilla de jicaro. Yummy!

@@MsJanetWoodNicaraguan food is similar but VERY different from Mexican also. Mexicans barely used achiote(anatto) while in Nicaragua is basically added to everything and the Caribbean side of Nicaragua has a very Afro Caribbean gastronomy adding coconut water and other ingredients in almost everything something Mexico lacks Also is a rice & beans mix is VERY uncommon in Mexico while Nicaragua has its very own Gallo pinto that goes good with everything. Mexicans tortillas are also fake, Nicaraguan tortillas are closer to the actual thing indigenous mesoamericans were eating when the Spanish arrived same goes for the traditional drinks like pinolillo that haven’t changed in 500 years

This is true I’m from Matagalpa and my family is a color palette we got some pale whites to some very dark browns with miskito ancestry. I would dare to say Nicaragua has the biggest genetic and racial diversity in ALL of Central America
Hey, hola. Yes, there is a large concentration of "whites" in the Matagalpa and Estelí departamentos ( states) Lots of dutch, mainly german, descendance. The population in Nicaragua is made up of mestizos: indigenous+European, mainly in the Pacific and central part of the country
In the Caribbean, you'll find the Miskitos, Ramas and such mixing with the Africans.
The withe ethnic makes about 25%, give or take, of the total population.
And, yes, the same is in my extended family as in yours. We have all the possible skin tones you can get from all the mixing. It's beautiful.
