While home on leave during my 2nd tour, at Chicago O'Hare airport, I heard this song playing on someone's laptop. So many mothers and wives came and wished me luck and love. I was on my way back to Iraq and I found that even though the war was tough for me, I can't imagine what the war is for the wives and mothers. God bless the women at home.
My husbands been deployed for several months now and were about half way through. I say prayers 100 times a day and I'll be sure to include him along side my husband, my husbands USMC unit and brothers, and the rest of our boys.
My husband is going on his first deployment since we got married and our son was born. We are going miss him so much. He's our rock and watching him play with our little boy is the light of my days.
My fiance left for two months, was 9 hr's away from me. Something bad happened to her, and I heard this song. The day after she put this on her facebook. I don't believe in miracles, but a miracle happened. She is fin ally home, and this is the first song that played on the radio that day. I am so happy that she is finally home for ever now. I love you baby girl. Thanks for loving me, and being my life.
I'm a veteran and I want to say I appreciate people saying Thank you for your service. But the next time you see a soldier/sailor/marine/airman and their with their family, take the time to thank them for their service as well.
Conrad Sutton I often ask people if they've served so I can say "Thank you for your service." And shake their hand. I thank the wife, husband, mother, father too for supporting them. God bless you too Sir, for your service. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
As a former Veteran and Military Wife, those lengthy deployments do take their toll, and it takes a lot of strength to say good bye and it takes more strength and patience to wait for the return, or wait to return to family and friends. I am very proud of my troops both and If given the chance, would serve again.
Thank God for the troops that defend our country. Most people don't realize that if you are married to a soldier that you serve as well. Love that this song shows the heroes here at home who are waiting for their heroes overseas to come home. #thankasoldier #thankaveteran
I was living this song, every word, at the time it came out. My husband was back in Iraq. He went to Iraq for over 9 months, was home for less than 4 and back again. Now, finally, its coming to an end. He is retiring in just 4 months after 23 yrs of serving this country. I'm so proud of him. I wish my children could get a medal for surviving it also. When this song came out, my son was in kindergarten and my daughter in 3rd grade. Now they are a freshman & senior in high school. Its been a long, long, career & I wouldn't change a thing.
Every time I listen to this song, I cried. It reminds me of being deployed and the love and aupport we all receive from you all. We can't do what we do without you all. Thank you for all of your unwavering love, devotion and support to all of my fellow military brothers and sisters. 🇺🇸❤️
When this song first came out my husband was on a world cruise in the Navy. I remember every time that I got in the car and started to drive it would come on. And I would cry like a baby a few times I had to pull over. My poor kids though I was going nuts. Now my husband is on his final deployment before he retires and will be home in soon. We are in single digits now. It still makes me cry. And it is our 19th Anniversary today.
I remember back Dec 23rd 2004 while at FOB HOTEL in Najaf, Iraq during my time as a Marine all of our wives got together and made an hour video to have us watch out there since we weren't coming home for the holidays. Will never forget that day. This song was playing in the background along with others.
Proud to be married to a United States Marine who just deployed again recently. They still arent all hone. But songs like this are a good reminder that one day they will be in our arms again :)
My husbands deployed at the present time... and every night I pray to the sky wishing he's ok and to come home soon. This song is truer than so many know.
My husband is currently deployed and even though this song makes me cry, I listen to it and it helps me get through this deployment. I miss him so much! Come home soon baby and all the other troops who are not with their families.
Not a Military wife, but I have a brother who was deployed 3 different times. This song is for all families - wifes, husbands, mothers, fathers, sisters or brothers. If a family member is gone to fight for our freedoms then this song hits home for ALL. doesn't mean any of us are anti-war/military, we just want our loved ones to come home. GOD BLESS ALL SOLDIERS AND FAMILIES OF SOLDIERS.
Krista Torrence I was deployed once my body here at home but rest of me never made it home and that was 25 yrs ago hope one day I feel like home and fit in
It is a long road, and I wish you the best Todd. You just have to find your "normal" and you know even though they may not fully understand what you saw while deployed, talk to your family, and it is ok to break down now and then.
This song hits home as a song for many of my friends that have lost their way into drugs. Their parents want them to come home safe and not be lost in he battle they are fighting. I am for supporting the military and wish all a safe deployment. this is just what it means to me.
My fiance was a soldier over in Afghanistan and was killed. I used to play this song all the time and I miss him more than ever. I always cry when I hear this song.
I listened to this song over and over, even after I knew that he was never coming home. I'm so proud of him and all of the other soldiers that were there then and now. I still miss him.
my husband just got home from afganistan and this made his 4th deployment.. Now he is gone to California for more training in the desert!! i havent talked to him in almost a month, it is killing me.. At least when they are deployed they can use internet or have cell phones... this has been the hardest month in my life.. I love my HERO! He is my whole life! Fovever baby! come home soon! your wife misses you and needs you!
Congratulations to you and your sweetheart, Danielle. When he gets home, just hold him so tightly saf and secure in you r arms. My baby is on his 3rd consecutive tour... its enough. He's comong home soon for our wedding. I just want to hold him and never let go. God bless you both. x Nina
down to double digits till he gets home been to long now baby i love you and i cant wait till you are home...this song has helped me through so much listen to it every night before i go to bed and the kids sing it with me finally recorded it and sent it to him and he listens to it and sings with it every night i love you baby.My thoughts and prayers go out to yall you men and women need to "come home soon"
This song struck a nerve for me, it's very sweet thank you for posting, and thank you to shedaisy for making it.. My husband has served in Iraq, and is currently in Afghanistan.. This is our third deployment... God bless our troops, I love and miss my Marine so desperately...
My husband just left for his 3rd tour recently. I had heard this song years ago.. but today it just snapped for me. I hadnt cried since he left... was doing the numb thing. This song finally brought it all out of me. It says all that I ever could think of. I empathize with all the other spouses out there that are still waiting. Just remember, one day past is just another day closer till our wishes are granted.
Thank you to all the soldiers who fight for my freedom, but thank you to the spouses who take care of things back home. I an so thankful for you all. God bless you all. I love you very much.
I did 2 deployments to Afghanistan and 1 to Iraq, and I know how much of a toll it is on our loved ones at home. Next time you see a military spouse or family thank them for their sacrifice, and support of their spouse. God bless the military families at home. And god bless the military families that have paid the ultimate sacrifice of not having their loved one come home
I post this in fear of sounding too shallow, but I have to say it anyway. Not only is SheDaisy made up of three of the most beautiful voices that are so great at harmony, but imagine three sisters who all look very different from each other but all share an equal amount of beauty. Generally, there is one sister in a family who stands out, either on the less than outwardly beautiful side, or on the extremely beautiful side. All three of these ladies are just that--very fine ladies--AND very beautiful, both inside and out. I am so proud of SheDaisy. THESE are real American ladies.
im so proud of the military men and women who protect this country they are very brave men and women and so are their families i hope all military men and women get to go back to their homes safe and sound and soon.. and for any militray men or women who read this i thnk you so much for keepin us safe.. and for any military families who read this i thnk you too i understand tht its hard letting your loved ones go but i thnk you... keep up the good work and COME HOME SOON MILITARY MEN AND WOMEN!!
To all the families that have loved ones out there should really listen to this song because it is a great example of what we have, once had, or will have back in a little while. We love and miss our loved ones and are praying to have you back home safely in our arms once again.
It's frustrating to see some comments that say that this song was antiwar!! The Iraq war just started when they did this song after 9/11 and not once did they say in it that it was nonsense or pointless. This song was from the perspective of the family members of deployment armed forces! Whether you are for or against war, if your loved one was deployed, you would feel the same emotions that this song encapsulates!! Good grief! You trolls need to know when to shut up! Thanks to all past, present and future members of the armed forces - our country's proudest members! And thank you to their families!
Karin Nicely - what do you mean "who are u"....? and what did you mean when you said "thank you for PICKING UP MY PHONE "...? I understand the "thanking me" part, but the "picking up my phone" part has me confused.
You ladies do it every time, you get to the heart of the matter! As always I have been always will be a huge fan, can't wait until you finally make it to Alaska. GOD BLESS ALL OF OUR HEROES AT HOME AND ABROAD! Show your love and respect for they give it all.
my husband left a week ago today, on friday may 4th. before that he was gone for a month and then home for 4 days before he left. right now he is gone doing training for about a month, then he'll be on his way to afghanistan for about 10 months. with no leave. our daughter will be 6 weeks on may 14th. and i also have his other daughter who is 8. this song makes me cry instantly everytime. i just pray he comes home safe and sound next year. i love you spc casey wilson, with all of my heart
Only 30 more day's till he's in my arms again. I can't wait to see him graduate from basic next month. It can't get here sooner. I miss the love of my life. Proud Army Fiance.
I absolutely love this song I was in operation Iraqi freedom 03-04 was my last tour and deployment I did I served 10 years usmc I’m married to a us marine I keep saying this every time he is deployed it takes a hell of a lot of strength to say good bye and wait to see him again it hasn’t gotten any easier in the years that have followed I’ll be so happy when he comes home this time it’s his last tour last deployment he’ll retire out in July this year 2018 I’m so proud of everything he has done and continue to do can’t wait to hold my husband my marine major general again thank you for this beautiful wonderful songs it’s home no matter weather your a spouse of a military member or your active/reserve member thank you from this veteran and wife I love you Joe come home soon to us
absolutely love this song even though every time i hear it, it makes me cry. i am a very proud army girlfriend. my soldier is my heart and soul. i cant wait till i can be in his arms again. hes on the other side of the world tonight and i kno its what he has to do. but i miss him more and more each day. but i kno he'll be home soon. Thank each and everyone of you for your sacrifices and supporting our soldiers.just remember they love you and will be home soon.
For many weeks I've listened too this hoping it would be a song my ex of 6 years would listen to while im deployed, nothing like a letter saying she found someone else who can be there for her... Pfc. Shropshire, 82 Airborne. U.s Army.
i dont have anyone in the war. but i want all you soldier families to know that there are still some ppl out there that really really do feel for all of you and your loved ones. well wishes and safe prayers for absolutely ALL of you.
I love this song! My husband is in the army and I hate it when he's away from me for any amount of time. We were together and inseparable for the first 7 months that we were together so any time apart is so hard. I don't know what I'd do without him though. I wouldn't trade my life with him for anything. He's the most amazing man I've ever met. And I have to thank all the soldiers. You're all doing something amazing. Hope everyone comes home safe! ♥
My little brother is joining the marines after he graduates. I'm so worried for him, and proud of him. Knowing he's going to be sacrificimg ho's own life to protect my freedom, it makes me want to cherish him even more. My brother and I don't get along that well, but I'll always love him. I just hope that he makes the smart decisions out there. He's wanted this since we were kids. I'm proud that he's doing this. Just hope he comes home alive.
As an Army vet, Army wife and Naval kid I've seen all sides of the military. IMHO there aren't enough songs out there that express the feeling of the families and what they go through. Don't get me wrg I love all songs about the military, but ppl need to recognize that there is an unspoken military behind out soldiers they are the families and friends of those deployed that are fighting their own battles back home. The battle of being alone and scared especially those who have no idea where their soldier(s) are. To all military and their families NVR give up and come home soon.
My first deployment with my husband 15 months and then the second, you made me cry.The memories, the loneliness, the tears! Your song gave us hope!! We both think of that great big star when we are apart to this day!! Thank you!
2 more weeks until my boyfriend comes home from basic, I can't wait to see him graduate and be in his arms again I miss him like crazy every single day but damn! I'm one proud Marine Girlfriend!
It hurts when My Two year old cries her self to sleep holding his tags an laying on a picture of him, It brakes my heart, I really miss you babe, only 8 months about left!! Come home soon!! we miss you!!!!!
i love songs about the army and the soldiers because it makes me think of my grandparents the ones i never got to meet because they passed away before i was born but anyways my grandpa was in the war .
wishing ever one a Happy and safe 4th July.. I pray for ever one that is in the Army that god watchs over our man and woman to keep them safe and the ones that can't be home right now. I am thankful for everthing that army soldier man and woman do for us and for the ones that died for us. I had a best friend that died overseas back in 2000 ever day that goes by I think about him when I play this song it helps and on the 4th of July I will come and hear this song it helps me on this day..so ty Shedaisy for this lovey song. ty the army man and woman ty for everthing you do God Bless you
G. M. O!! This song brings joy yet heartache I think of ny three babies JayDee SHAMUS Alyssa ALLBRIGHT I'm their mother Yolanda Rhoades ALLBRIGHT I miss an LOVE YOU so so so so so so so much
Although I'm not feeling the exact pain as many of you are for your loved ones that are far overseas but this song makes me sad. My boyfriend is moving away for a job over 2,000 miles away and I feel so alone. Things just won't be the same. His family, friends and myself are here, and he'll be so far. I'm afraid things will fall apart. I'm happy for him, better job, better pay, new adventure to embark on. I guess we'll just have to see what the future has in store for us.
lol those flames are enormous! seriously though, beautiful video... i cried... my husband is on deployment with the US Navy and I'm so thankful for what he and all our troops do for us.
My soon to be husband leaves for afghanistan for a year soon...Loved him since we were 14 and he would tease me in biology class.. Come home safe so we can start our lives sweetheart!
I just saw your post Jennifer and I am so very sorry for your loss, I am so grateful to your fiance' and for every one our Armed Forces. He's the one that made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and there is no one more appreciative than I.
Jennifer, I feel your pain. My Alex has been gone since the original Desert Storm, 22 years ago. The pain never goes away, but there is pride in knowing that what those two men gave us can NEVER be replaced or even forgotten. God bless you.

God bless you too Sir, for your service. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
As a marine wife with two small children and a husband who is deployed, I can say that this song really hits home
navy wife with three small daughters. my husband just left for our second deployment. hang out there dear ♡ love from the blue side

2 months down 7 to go until my husband returns from Afghan Land. This song helps me through the long nights
This song brings tears to my eyes, especially when I think of loved ones I will never see again.
This song meant a lot to me and my wife in 09 when I deployed to Iraq. It was very fitting and it matched her sentiments at the time......

Thank each and everyone of you for your sacrifices and supporting our soldiers.just remember they love you and will be home soon.
Makes me miss my brother! Hes in Afghanistan!
21 days until he comes back home to me, can't wait to see him graduate from Ft Benning. Love my hubby! So proud of him!!
I still have so many months until my husband comes home from deployment.... please pray the USS Shoup makes it home safely
For many weeks I've listened too this hoping it would be a song my ex of 6 years would listen to while im deployed, nothing like a letter saying she found someone else who can be there for her... Pfc. Shropshire, 82 Airborne. U.s Army.
This Song is so Beutiful i cant even explain. My man is gone 59 more days .. we're getting there ....
i dont have anyone in the war. but i want all you soldier families to know that there are still some ppl out there that really really do feel for all of you and your loved ones. well wishes and safe prayers for absolutely ALL of you.
Just hope he comes home alive.
to all the millitary men out there fighting fore our country and fought fore our country god bless u all and thank you fore our freedom
i don't want my step-dad to leave again. :( i want The Lord to hear me...
Thank you!
my fiancee is military and I listen to this song every time he's away.I can't wait to see him again in 3 weeks on our wedding day.
Missing my husband who deployed on his third tour today. Come home safe baby
2 more weeks until my boyfriend comes home from basic, I can't wait to see him graduate and be in his arms again I miss him like crazy every single day but damn! I'm one proud Marine Girlfriend!

i love songs about the army and the soldiers because it makes me think of my grandparents the ones i never got to meet because they passed away before i was born but anyways my grandpa was in the war .
wishing ever one a Happy and safe 4th July..

86 Days then He will be back.. He's been gone for 9 months. I love you Bubba Michael
