One argument is that Sabrimala is a Mokshyadham (according to Sjnu Joseph ji) and the mantras pronounced here are very strong. Women between 10-50 are able to generate lives. Mokhya and life are at opposite pole. This is why women in between the age group are advised not to visit the place.

Oh my God. Our culture before British has been so rich and so open. Wonderful narrative on so many shades to desire

Always a treat to listen to Dr Menon. However, she very neatly avoided the question about her research on Jamali-Kamali. "It's all in the poetry", she says, and then cites Khusro, Bulleh Shah, etc, but nothing on Jamali-Kamali. It is an oral narrative that she has collected from locals, as mentioned in several of her talks.
