    May I recommend slightly lifting up on the tab connected to the MAF instead of hitting the cable’s housing with a fucking screwdriver and breaking the retaining bracket 😂😂😂 common man…
    He snapped it right off lmao

    Hello, my friend has a 2006 bmw 525xi. Before we took anything apart his climate did not work at all. Any turn of the fan speed dial nothing would work maybe once in a blue moon he would get air sucked in through the fresh air vents. We replaced the blower motor first old one looked burned out and corroded. We swapped the resistor into the new one and plugged it in and plugged in the ccp. Fans spun and adjusted with the dial. We put it back together and then tried it and nothing. Everytime you plug the middle pin in the ccp that controls the heater and air conditioner system all the power goes dead. We replaced the air conditioner blower fuse and the old one wasn’t blown but the prongs were black. Any ideas? Still doesn’t work

      Could be a bad control panel. But sometimes the wiring melts at the harness that plugs into the fan. Or the contacts are bad. Thats the only thing I can think of.

      @@MikeMDs he tried a different climate control panel from a scrap yard with the same part number and still didn’t work.

    I have a 2016 bmw 528i xdrive with a u019f code lost communication with water pump, also no heat with in cabin would u suspect the electric water pump failed ?

      Water pump sounds bad. Also a faulty heater/water valve can cause no heater. But if the issues happened at the same time then it is probably a bad pump.

    Can I ask s temporary means put a ball valve in line and shut it off so no flow goes thru it. Would that cause overheating?

    • @MikeMDs
      @MikeMDs  7 месяцев назад

      I'm sure It wont cause overheating.

    I dont get it? why wont the AC work? dont they have a flap which allows and blocks the air coming from the heater core? SO if the AC is on no matter how much coolant is going in the heater core the hot air from the heater core wont enter the cabin.

    • @MikeMDs

      The valve regulates coolant flow. There is a flap to distribute bit it is small and can not isolate completely. The heater core is stacked next to the evaporator. so the fan blows through both of them at the same time

      @@MikeMDs thanks. I have a bmw 120i 2007. whenever i turn on AC or heater I get this hint of a smell which makes me sick, I get some itching around my mouth area and get cough as well. I have used 2 cans of AC system cleaners by injecting the foam in all the vents, injecting the foam by removing the cabin flilter from the foam and putting the foam directly on the running blower fan. but the smell keeps coming. now I have been using the car regularly so realized that even when the car is not running it still has that smell. Do you have any idea from where the smell might be coming?

    What if i dont bleed the system and just replaced it

    • @MikeMDs
      @MikeMDs  Год назад +1

      You will likely have no issue. The system will bleed itself when you drive with the heater on and burp an air bubble.
