      ​@dougpeters1625 the 2 parts of this song where they the "5 claps" I always do that whenever I hear this song. Once, when I was driving, I heard this song, and I took my hands off the steering wheel of my car to do the 5 claps and I actually drove into a ditch.

    Longtime bandmate Norton Buffalo "playing Maraca Shakers" died 4 months after this show. Found out he had cancer in Sept. 2009 and died 6 weeks later. RIP Norton Buffalo.

      Steve Miller was practically raised with Les Paul. He met Les at 5 years old. Look it up, very interesting

    Steve Miller was my 1st concert. At 14 years old. 2 $ ticket. Vanderbilt's Memorial Gymnasium, 1969. I was dumb stricken.

    During his upbringing, Steve Miller undertook a university course in Copenhagen, Denmark.
    I was working there for some years in the 1980s. He came back there Summer1985 and gave us a free concert in the Tivoli Garden.

    I saw SMB in Perth, Western Australia a few years back at a festival. I've seen many , many bands and I rate them in my top 5. They were so polished. I'd love to see them again.

    Worked at March AFB many years ago with a guy named Steve Miller. Even somewhat resembled him.
    Always thought this song should have been a bit longer for say another verse or 2. The basic melody of the song would carried it no matter how many verses.
    Sad hearing we lost Norton Buffalo....Rest In Peace.
    Still, this is a fantastic version! Love that keyboard solo !

      @bobbycratchit look closer. The lighter fretboard guitar has a solid leather strap. The darker fretboard guitar has a sort of braided leather strap.

    Una de las mejores bandas americanas de Rock and Roll de los años 70, Steve Miller Band, toca una de sus más pegajosas composiciones: Take the Money and Run, "Toma el Dinero y Corre", con una soberbia ejecución de guitarras acústicas, piano, bajo y batería, esta última quizás una de las más trabajosas y elaboradas sobre la que se cimenta toda la fuerza del tema, ya sea en directo o en estudio. Es curioso que semejante derroche de talento no hubiera pegado en Latinoamérica con la misma fuerza que otras bandas como The Rolling Stones.
