yeah, I'm pretty sure that's just a benchmark of Alien Isolation. A game that came out in like 2014. True it's impressive that it's running it at over 200 fps, but still, it does not do a very good job of showing off the visual capabilities of what the card can do, which is the whole point of a graphics card tech demo.
Ahmed360 yeah but they showed off the fps in the 1080ti demo i think they wanted to show such a great number like 250 fps. I bet the 980ti wasn't even close in fps to the 1080ti one
Finally found it!!. The Geforce4 Ti tech demo with the werewolf. Had a childhood friend who showed me it on his pc and we would watch it with big eyes. Really made our imagination run wild.

A game that was already 3 years old when the card came out and can be run in 4k 60fps by much older cards due to great optimization so using it for a benchmarch/tech demo doesn't make much sense. Shoulda shown a 4k benchmark of tomb raider to show off the 1080ti's power.
Yeah kinda pointless really. I have a 1080ti now but had a 970 back then and it could run that game maxed out at 1440p 60fps. Definitely not a good example of what the 1080ti can do
I remember benchmarking my 8800gt on this and it was running at like 20 fps but it did run haha. It was mind blowing back in 2006 to run a demo like this. Also ever hear of Crysis 2007? of course you have!
It’s pretty easily to make things look amazing, even from the early 2000s, with really simple lighting, a ton of polygons, simple textures, sharp shadows, all on a single model with nothing moving, even the camera barely moving. Think about it, not even a floor is shown. And that thing is barely getting 60fps. If it’s getting more, they probsbly have several of the same graphics card in the same pc
Simple, its not always about the power that you get, but the engine is running in. Look at games now and most "realistic ones" for console are running in pretty low end hardware.

The Graphics did improve but the choice of Benchmarks was honestly not that good Especially for the 980 and 1080 The Benchmarks shown don't show the full potential of those GPUs
yea, you skipped important transitional groups, like the 9000 series(9800GTX), and the 580gtx, even though they were rehashes of the earlier GPUs, they were mature version, smaller processes, cooler, less power hungry, and actually better performance was achieved. Yes. And anyone thinked that the first tech demos is very bizarre. What is wrong with these people? Seems that the nvidia like satanic things. Why make a werewolf or a blacksmith demon?
That's nice! Shopping for graphics cards would be a lot easier if they made one of these demonstrations for every card they make. So instead of running multiple benchmarks you could just look at this and make out which ones better!
I think some of these tech demos are mainly intended to show the new techniques of the time. Foliage, fire, hair, water, bump mapping, etc. They don't necessarily show the best possible graphic that the card can do.
Glawx-Fire and Ice48 I was talking about public servers and how if you get people building together the frame rate and performance drops to that of a toaster
8800 GTX -The Legend! Ohh, I remember how In spring 2007 my parents bought to me the new PC with this card and with core 2 duo E6600. Half-Life 2, Oblivion, STALKER, Assassin's Creed, The Witcher, Doom 3, Quake 4, GTA IV, Gothic 3, Mass Effect... I didn't care about the number of FPS. Only ultra settings and total immersion in these masterpieces. It was good time and the very height of the golden gaming five-year plan in my life (2005-2009). I miss(
I want to bring a discussion here. The GTX 780 TI had 5 teraflops, this is a bit higher than PS4 Pro with 4.2 teraflops. Now, using the demo on the video as a reference, we can clearly see that the PS4 produces much better graphics than this model of the GTX. My point is, although the consoles will never be more powerful than PCs on absolute numbers, this demonstrate how a specialized hardware and optimized software can make a huge difference on final results. So, I think that saying the consoles are released already outdated is kind of unfair. What do you think?

Łukasz Marcinkowski that’s because the card is using everything it can to render that model, if you did that in an actual game it wouldn’t be playable

when a 1999 video card has more vram than your 2019 computer
Yes, completely agreed
I begged my dad for the geforce 256 and he finally got it for me when the geforce 2 TI came out, good times!
From 2007 to now Graphics is changing only in Tech Demos.
I have a Nvidea Geforce 210
yea.. i haved to.. but tye 9500 gt is better
@@McLeonVP I have it too and I am frustrated , going to upgrade soon hopefully (:
It's a potato
i have it too and i won’t upgrade cuz im fucking poor
So these demonstrations are basically what kind of graphics the card handle?
Yes, it was showing what hose cards at the time were capable of.
That's nice! Shopping for graphics cards would be a lot easier if they made one of these demonstrations for every card they make. So instead of running multiple benchmarks you could just look at this and make out which ones better!
Actually not, i can run way more detailed games with my card that those showed on the video
Florent Azemi, The game is probably more optimized.
I think some of these tech demos are mainly intended to show the new techniques of the time. Foliage, fire, hair, water, bump mapping, etc.
They don't necessarily show the best possible graphic that the card can do.
What were you running that werewolf demo on? it seemed like the computer could barely handle it.
song of the minute 1:38 please?
Very impressive. But can they run Ark?
Babul Ahmed lmao it’s funny cuz it’s true.
Nothing can run ark
ArcticWolf XXII now I disagree with that, I get 60 fps on custom mid settings.
You must have a really shit PC. Lmao
Glawx-Fire and Ice48 I was talking about public servers and how if you get people building together the frame rate and performance drops to that of a toaster
ArcticWolf XXII oh didn’t know. Sorry! :)
Maybe one Day video games looks better than real life
Noooooo
Tkn already*
@Aksu2113
No, not even close.
What is life?
@@Aksu2113 i heard this back in 2007
0:48 (Geforce2 Ti) is what a 2080ti is gonna look like in the future.
No it wont have already reach the hyper realism era, even back in 2014 I would say
Really nice choice of thumbnail
that gtx 88-- human head demo bhlew me away when i was a kid and still does tbh
8800 - самая красивая, и тест с головой человеческой к ней - самый впечатляющий.
Ага
what's the software used for the 780ti demo?
nVidia FLEX
Guess you could call it software
"A real gamer is a gamer whatever happens , even if he is using Intel graphics"
Me , an Intel 620 user
Stay away 😂💦
Yes, a gamer is still a gamer, if he uses a Radeon 7000 or an rtx Nvidia card
8800 GTX -The Legend! Ohh, I remember how In spring 2007 my parents bought to me the new PC with this card and with core 2 duo E6600. Half-Life 2, Oblivion, STALKER, Assassin's Creed, The Witcher, Doom 3, Quake 4, GTA IV, Gothic 3, Mass Effect... I didn't care about the number of FPS. Only ultra settings and total immersion in these masterpieces. It was good time and the very height of the golden gaming five-year plan in my life (2005-2009). I miss(
Those graphics cards were soo expensive back then when they were new - I never got the newest one sadly.:(
We can create such awesome games from all this tech. Too bad no cards would be able to run it.
8:15 i was waiting when he opened eyes and scream )))))
2018: GeForce RTX 2080. With Ray Tracing, Better Graphics, Double the Price!
256 tech demo is way better than crysis remastered in 2020
Nvidia is ahead of time
Krass, das ab dem Cameleon Tech Demo sich dich Grafik immer weiter verschlechtert hat
I went from Intel HD graphics to rtx 2080 X D Imagine my reaction to more than 45000 FPS in minecraft with shaders in 4k
I felt satisfied only for reading this...
I'm scared of the earlier demo it just seems kinda creepy...
2:23 isn't this realtime ray tracing?!
Its just IMPOSSIBLE for that gpu, reflections arent raytracing only
those are dynamically changing reflection maps.
This looks amazing^
Jesus this makes me feel old. I remember the Riva TNT days let alone GeForce.
0:16 lol this already looks like a good thing

Vladimir Remeniuk do you know the music at 0:49?
when you realize that ATI was on market for 10 years more and survived against almost 10 graphic card competitors...

GeForce GTX 780 Ti Tech Demo, what's the song? (10:29)
