this song was my anthem to my life for the longest. i was lost and searching for my place. i found it 6 years ago when i met my wife and step kids. they are my everything. i went the distance and found the right woman at the right time in my life. i found my Hero's welcome home when i found them, as my wife says i am her and out kids hero. beautiful song and great talent Elizabeth! thanks for sharing with us! i cant wait for more!

I just want to take a second to appreciate that note at 3:03. We all know how beautiful your voice is, but to be able to hit notes that high, is something that takes skill beyond what can be learnt! If your voice is low, it's low, if it's high it's high, if it's in the middle, it's in the middle. It's almost impossible to train your voice to go that high (if it is possible, then forgive my ignorance). That in itself is impressive, but then taking into thought that you are able to not only go that high, but you are also able to control it as well, that takes some serious skill! Lots of people can sing high like that, but being able to control it is very difficult, that alone is incredibly impressive!
In fact, to this day, the only other person I have heard who was able to go that high and control it as well, was the lead vocalist of Deep Purple between 1969-72, 1984-89 and 1992-present, the legendary Ian Gillan.
The fact that I've only heard two people able to control a note that high speaks volumes of how difficult it is, and the fact that you are one of those two people just makes me appreciate your ridiculously good vocal chords that much more! Seriously, I cannot emphasise it enough, your vocal range and voice control is beyond amazing!

It's just one of those little things that I like to pay extra attention to, because its often little things like that, that get overlooked. Obviously there's nothing wrong with people saying how amazing this cover is, because it IS amazing, but I like to pay respect to those little things that make a lot of difference, yet often get overlooked.

There is a difference between being egotistical, and feeling pride for what you have done, and this is something that you have earned the right to feel pride about, and I want you to remember that!

Sometimes while working I love to listen to music and alternate between Alan Jackson, George Strait, Elvis and your lovely songs. Yesterday while repairing some things in the PAB, Elizabeth (#2) came in to clean so I played this song for us and she absolutely loved it and then with her unique accent said "Ms. South has a very pretty voice."
