    Awesome I have been looking for something like this ! I currently use sports bras.... because I have found other binders but I'm not the smallest person and the other one I wanted didnt come in my size. I heard about underworks and wasn't sure which one to get but now I'm sure I want the 983 thank you so much !

    YES!
    in december of last year i bought my first ever binder, and i chose the 997 from underworks, so i could "hide" all my excess skin (hey - i'll trade that tmi for your ibs tmi, okay? *lol*) i have from having gastric bypass surgery - i've lost 100 lbs, so...
    sweet buddha - how did i ever live before i started wearing a binder???
    i feel SO much more comfortable and "authentic"...
    great review, finn!
    take care,simon

    I was leaning towards the 997 and I hadn't thought about it pressing on my stomach too much, so thank you for probably saving me from a lot of pain.

    I very much agree with you about Underworks being the way to go, but T-kingdom being a life-saver in emergencies. I remember being really annoyed when I got my first binder (which was a T-kingdom one) but now I'm really glad that I didn't get rid of it when I replaced it with an Underworks one, as it really comes in handy if, as you say, you have to stay overnight at a friend's/be on an overnight bus or something like that.

    No worries fella! They are kinda mesh, made of mostly nylon. I have really sensitive skin & they have never iritated me, other than where they cut in around the arms after a full day use. You'd have great trouble getting a tshirt on underneath but none of these binders could ever slip around anyway, sometimes I need to reajust after a few hours but things hardly move at all. Both the 988 vest & the 983 tri top are fantastic. I promise, you'll never look at another binder once youve tried these!

    This is so insanely helpful!! I have a GC2B binder and it has stretched so much that it now causes me only more dysphoria rather than helps with it :( Finally got money for a new binder so I'm definitely going for one from Underworks!

    I've got the 997 and I'm definitely not a skinny person so I like that it squashes my hips and belly and makes me flat and skinnier, but I also had trouble with it giving me squits if I wore it too long and ate anything meal sized.

    Nice to know about the IBS. as a fellow sufferer I would NOT want to deal with that.

  • @willa1313

    I have the 997 and I had the same problem with my stomach getting upset - I just ordered a strapless binder so we'll see how that goes. If not, I think I'll try the tri-top.
    I agree with sizing down if you're on the cusp - I got a large in the 997 and it's gotten loose at the neckline and doesn't bind as well as I would like.

  • @AlexLukeC
    @AlexLukeC 11 лет назад

    I'm not sure if anyone's already commented this, but you can cut the bottom off the 997 (double front) to make it the same length as the tritop without it fraying at all which might help your IBS. That works for me, except I've outgrown mine a little so it gets painfully tight after a few hours.

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад +4

    hey mate, Ive had this one about 9 months I think? The very bottom seem flips over sometimes, but only slightly and its not uncomfortable. Maybe its because yours is older and has lost some of its tightness???

    Hi there! The best thing you can do, is to have a look on the underworks website....in the FTM section that have a measuring guide which tells you exactly which size to buy. Thats what I did and every binder I have bought has fitted me perfectly :)

  • @KJ1234
    @KJ1234 3 года назад

    xD Great review, Underworks is def my go to binder! I used the same as you 998. I liked it but yes, it's really hot. Great critiques about using polyester material!

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад

    Hi mate, I went with the small. Id say it depends on your hip size really as you have to step into the binder and pull it up. If you have big hips and you are on the cusp between the small and medium then Id go with the medium. If you have regular or small hips like me, then Id go with the small. Hope that helps!

      FinnTheInfinncible It actually just arrived today, and upon trying it on I found the material really scratched at and irritated around my arms - how have you found it to be in that respect? I'm not sure now whether to keep it and hope it turns out all right, or stick with my old binder (has side hooks, and that part would get sore quickly)

    • @FinnTheInfinncible
      @FinnTheInfinncible  10 лет назад

      They all bite a bit around the arms, l did find the scratch went out of the material a bit after wearing a few times tho. Some guys wear a thin t shirt under it to help with that, l just got used to it after a while

    This was very helpfull to me. I've been struggling with dysphoria over my chest for a while now and I'm currently using sports bras but that hasn't been enough so I was looking for a binder. After I looked at some from underworks I wanted to see some reviews and came across this video and it helped me very much. To get a video review of someone talking about it in detail! I've decied to buy the 983 (if my mom is okay with it since I'm underage and can't buy stuff myself). So thank you for making this video, even though this was about 3 years ago hehe. Hope you're doing well :)

      ah I'm so glad to help! yes this vlog is old now but the models are pretty much the same. the good thing now is that they sell them in packs which saves money if you intend to buy more than one. I swore by underworks and my partner does too. enjoy the new freedom it will give you my friend!

    hey there, glad the review was helpful :). My pendant is a combination of the AA symbol and the celtic triskele. The AA triangle in the circle represents unity service and recovery, the triskele represents mind body and spirit :) Thats awesome that you found a ring with it on, Id like that!

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад

    Hi mate. No I dont wear a sports bra underneath, theres no need to as the binder works very well

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад

    Hey man, the easiest way is to turn it upside down holding it by the bottom with the straps facing the floor, make sure the thick front pannel is facing the front away from you. then step into it, putting your legs through the neck hole, pull it up by the bottom as far up as you can, then grab the sholder straps and pull it up the rest of your body so it folds over itself. then slide your arms in and adjust moobs accordingly :) Does that make sense? there are some vids about of people doing this

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад

    Hiya :) I dont know my exact size, I used sports bra before binding too, Im around a 34/36B so a fair bit smaller than you. Binding is uncomfortable, there is no way around that unfortunately, but you do get used to it. I know larger guys use underworks and they flatten them well. Some larger chested guys use the binders that do up with velcro or zips.

    Stumbled across this vid whilst researching, and it was very helpful! I had reduction surgery done (unfortunately a full removal wouldn't be covered by healthcare for me, and I'm too poor lol), but the surgery still left me with far too much. :(
    I was looking for something to bind properly with, and after watching your vid I've ordered both the 983 and the 988 for colder days! Thanks so much for the advice!

    I thought about going for the 988 model, but since you said it is too hot and here in my country is always hot I think I'm gonna go for the tri-top one when I can afford it. Thanks for the video, it was great!

      @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад +1

      lol! They do tend to get loose over time, which is why I have a fair few! Also, part of the trial and error of finding the right one can mean you end up with a few! The tri top served me very very well, def the best option in my opinion! Glad to help :)

    I highly recommend looking into GC2B binders. They have higher necklines, are made silky, "swimsuit' material, and are more comfortable. They fix pretty much all of the problems you addressed with underworks.

    Thats the trouble with pull up binders, if you are very pear shaped, you need a bigger binder to get over them hips!. Sounds like you should be fine with a medium though if your chest is very small

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад +1

    Lmao! Im glad inbetween unicorn tears it helped :) It is hard when you buy these things....its so hit and miss as what works well for one often doesnt work quite as well for another. Saying that though, you really cant go wrong with underworks, so many guys use them and I love everyone i bought from them. BTW, it works out cheaper getting it straight from underworks rather than through amazon!

    Hey Finn! Great binder review...just what I needed! Do any of the non-cotton binders bother your skin? Are they mesh? Sometimes, I feel like I have to wear a t-shirt under the binder & that it will slip around if I don't. Do you have any problems with those binders? / I too have IBS issues, so the #988 sounds great for me. / I'm with ya on the velcro...too noisy and was always afraid it would pop open. Also, only like crew neck shirts, as well. Don't want any cleavage starin' back at me! Thxs!!!

    Hey Finn, I bought the Underworks Extreme Tri-Top Chest Binder Tank Top off amazon a while back and I think in Underworks terms it's the 983. Anyway, I measured myself and I felt the medium would be too big but I was at the top end of the small measurements. However, I haven't been able to get it on? My shoulders are really broad so that may be the problem but I was wondering, do you have any tips on getting your binder on? Cheers :)

    I'm really self concious and I'm afraid that wearing certain binders will make my stomach stick out.. I don't have a big stomach, but I'm really anxious about it. Does that full length compression binder hide your stomach? Because I worry about the binders that come to the mid section making my hips and my stomach stick out. Any advice?

    You looked roughly the same pre-T! Small Dad. Just shows what the magic of hormones can do for you. You have a very nice facial structure and T definitely helped that.
    The binder explanations really help. Doubt if I would ever wear one though. It just seems too much of a hassle and I still have the random popping of ribs from time to time from wearing sports bras everyday, all day for a year or so. I just learned to ignore it until I get really bad days. But the material of binders and how tight they hold the body in was never really fully explained in other references.

  • @blackmoldinurwalls
    @blackmoldinurwalls 10 лет назад

    I'm happy you reviewed the tri top. I just bought it not to long ago and I was worried that it wouldn't bind all too well seeing as how I'm a smaller chested guy and most of the reviewed I have seen are from larger chested guys. A lot of people said that cotton was better for binding but the tri top was cheaper and it seems to be highly recommended soooo yeah. I might get the 988 binder for colder temperatures. . .
    So, how long did it take for you to get your binders? I just ordered my first Underworks binder on Saturday or very early Sunday I believe and it says that it is still processing my order.

    Hi! Thanks for the video. I decided to buy the tri-top, but I'm unsure what size to buy. XS is 71-76cm and S is 79-84cm and my chest is about 78cm. I don't want it to restrict breathing or hurt me, but I also don't want it not to bind. Do you know if they are a bit smaller or larger than the sizing?

    • @FinnTheInfinncible
      @FinnTheInfinncible  10 лет назад +2

      Hi mate, l was often in the inbetween measurements too and l always went with the smaller binder. It didmt restrict too much and they stretch over time anyway. I'd say at 78 cm yr fine to go with an xs. However, as you have to pull it on over your hips, if you have large hips l would go with the S. hope that helps!!!

      FinnTheInfinncible I never really had to do the hip thing, I tried but I'm a big guy and my hips are too wide compared to my waist, like a ten inch difference though it has gotten down since I started T. I have the 988 and I just pull it over my head it gets stuck at the clavicle and under the armpits but you can just pull it down, I use olive oil as a moisturizer, so that helps quite a bit.

  • @JackFTM26

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад

    Hi mate, you really shouldnt bind when doing exercise as it limits your ability to breathe. However, I do bind when exercising but I use my very old and much looser binder so that it does hide the moobs a bit, but allows me to breathe. I just wear a loose t shirt on top.

  • @FinnTheInfinncible
    @FinnTheInfinncible  11 лет назад

    Hey mate, binding does make it hard to breathe, and thats not good when your active! I have an old underworks that has stretched and is looser and I use that for exercise, and then put a baggy top over it to help hide the moobs. In all honesty, you shouldnt wear a binder when being very active, as you really cant breathe....but I just wouldnt manage to exercise at all if i didnt wear somethin....so I compromise and go with a loose one :)

    I orderd my binder a few days ago, and today it finally came. I was super nervos but also happy - however it was not like i wanted it to be. I put it on, and insted of having a flat chest - i still had a bump...it just looked it had smaller chest - but not a flat chest. Now im an emotional wreck, i cryed soo mutch...i really don't know waht to do....just send it back, and order a new one ? But waht if that one is really to small!? I just.....hjjvtilggjkl....

      Hey bud, I got my own binder, and I'm in the same situation. I would keep the one you got, maybe use it as a back up and whenever you get another use that. One thing I've noticed is that binders dont always flatten sadly but Do make you more masculine shaped. Realizing the fact I feel and look more masculine shaped has helped me a bunch, but overall I cant help out too much. Love you, glad to know theres people like me out here. Good luck with everything.

      Hi mate, cheers! Underworks do a fantastic range of both compression vests and compression suits that are designed to slim the look of the body. Even the longer compression vest that I used would help in terms of holding in your tummy.

      @FinnTheInfinncible  8 лет назад

      hi my friend, underworks have changed slightly since I used them. There should be a link on their site that shows you how to measure yourself specifically for their binders
