I remember when Ralph was in the 80s doing the karate kid people thought he was a kid but he was already an adult....older than they thought so the fact he still looks younger than his age make sense
Man I’m trippin right now, Cause literally after the success of the Cobra Kai series, I was always curious if Jackie and Jaden’s Karate Kid was no longer canon. Now I know. 💪🏾🥊🥋 And what’s even more crazy is how Japanese martial arts and Chinese martial arts have always had resentment towards each other because Japan 🇯🇵 and China 🇨🇳 used to be at war with each other. And this movie seems to be following Cobra Kai’s message of “Two Things Can Be True At Once” meaning take what you can from both sides and make it your own. Hmmm doesn’t that sounds familiar?
Jaden’s film isn’t as bad as people “claim” it is. The only issue in my opinion was calling it “The Karate Kid” but they had to use a recognizable brand name.
Says “Legends” so looks like other people are gonna show up eventually since they didn’t wanna ruin the entire trailer. Let’s hope that’s how it turns out 😂
This trailer is incredible. It looks and feels like The Karate Kid, it's continuing the Legacy of the original, and coming off of the final season of Cobra Kai. TERRANCE OUT
For those they may think it'll be "fire," don't put it up to high. Besides, we know the focus will be on the new kid. Our OGs have become O.L.D. Don't expect much from them. 😅 They just got bills to pay after all. 😆 Jackie n Chris did say the same of Rush Hour.
I am sorry, I don't agree at al, but that's what happens when people think less of other martial arts. But I am still gonna watch it because it looks AMAZING!!!!!
Much like Tyrone, I only watched "The next Karate Kid" once, somewhere around the 2000s and didn't quite like it. But recently I gave it a rewatch, and I got to say, it's way better than I gave it credit for.
If feel bad for Jaden. He's had a bad run with movies, mostly because his dad has been controlling his movie career from what it looks like. I just hope the man has found some peace in all that family drama so that doesn't bleed into the new movie. You know how everyone is high on the social politics and it's bound to happen.
I would have like the Jaden Smith Karate Kid movie more if it called Kung Fu Kid or something similar. Still, I agree, trailer look generic. We'll see. This doesn't have the draw to get me to the movies...yet
I personally didn't like Karate Kid with Jackie Chan. It should have been called Kung Fu Kid as it didn't have Karate in it at all. This one has my interest as it appears they're trying to rectify that issue by teaching the students Kung Fu and Karate, however, the title is still throwing me off.
Jayden Smith "Karate" kid was the real 💩 of the franchise. It wasn't even a continuation, but a horrible remake. I didnt think The Next Karate Kid was that bad, IMO.
Looks okay, but yeah, somewhat generic. I mean if it wasn't IP related it's probably totally passable, and if I'm being honest I'd rather watch a Korean or Japanese martial arts film over anything western. I don't doubt that Ralph will bring heart and soul to this movie but something about the setting just feel off. It's giving vibes of some kind of MCU type cameo fest nostalgia bait, hopefully the story s worthwhile but I'll be waiting for Netflix.
1,2 Karate Kid are good. 3 is ridiculous but Terry Silver is the best bad guy in the series. The Next Karate Kid was horrible. The 2010 Karate Kid is great. And the Cobra Kai series 1-6 seasons are great too.
I just can't have any hype, when the only cobra kai character that apparently will be in the movie, is Daniel.... a movie with most of the characters from the show would have been much better and with a cameo from Jackie Chan, but this, as Tyrone says, looks very generic and besides the rest of the actors I don't even know them, so 0 hype from me.
Karate kid 3 is my favorite one. Don't know why you think its a comedy. They all have the same tone. Mike Barnes and Terry Silver were great. The second one sucked to me, sorry.
Finish the series. Cobra Kai is one of the few exceptions when a show that comes out years after a franchise is ACTUALLY GOOD!
They are. They’re in their last season.
The last 5 episodes are coming out in February
The Production should have included Julie Pierce as well from “The Next Karate Kid” movie
Uno… maybe in should finish the show 🌝🙈
It looks extremely cringe but maybe I’ll give it a try
Two branches, One Tree = Karate + Kung Fu, Balanced Warrior 🙏
He sounds cracked 😮 looking forward to this
What about Eagle Fang?
Mixed martial arts in a Karate Kid film? Now that’s an interesting concept 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jackie is 7 yrs older than Ralph
What fountain of youth did Ralph Macchio bathe in and where can I find it?
Ralph is only HOW OLD!? That man doesnt look a day older than 40 stop playin😭
I remember when Ralph was in the 80s doing the karate kid people thought he was a kid but he was already an adult....older than they thought so the fact he still looks younger than his age make sense
He looks like a mid 40 year old insane
Finally, a student who looks like he can actually fight 😂
The overall trailer is 🔥 I just hope Mr Han mentions his first student Dre Parker
I thought you are going to say never say never lol
AGREED
Sony had to drop something quick to make us forget about Kraven
yeah. This is dropping like a #2
hope johnny lawrence appears in the movie too, even in a cameo
I actually liked the trailer. They didnt give away too much.
Thats how a trailer should be.
I’m hype for this after watching it
I really liked the tone honestly very serious and very focused and no huge details giving
Fr fr
Looks good. Kobra Kai has really reignited careers and possibly a new franchise.
im for it
Cobra Kai is a great show but even they pointed out the problem with spelling Cobra with a K instead of a C. Cobra Kai Karate is the full phrase.
"Time to relive the 80s and 90s" I feel ya! Those were the best years.
I hope this movie is GOOD! Ralph Macchio playing as Daniel LaRusso again, SPOT ON! CANNOT WAIT to see him again in the Karate Kid series!
Man I’m trippin right now, Cause literally after the success of the Cobra Kai series, I was always curious if Jackie and Jaden’s Karate Kid was no longer canon. Now I know. 💪🏾🥊🥋
And what’s even more crazy is how Japanese martial arts and Chinese martial arts have always had resentment towards each other because Japan 🇯🇵 and China 🇨🇳 used to be at war with each other. And this movie seems to be following Cobra Kai’s message of “Two Things Can Be True At Once” meaning take what you can from both sides and make it your own. Hmmm doesn’t that sounds familiar?
For a second it felt like a Karate Kid/Bloodsport crossover
need a Cheng and Dre appearance
I just know remembered that Jackie Chan was in a Karate Kid movie.
I got goosebumps when I saw the trailer I'm excited
This looks incredible! More of this, please, Hollywood.
Jaden’s film isn’t as bad as people “claim” it is. The only issue in my opinion was calling it “The Karate Kid” but they had to use a recognizable brand name.
People just couldn't take Will Smith shiving his kids down everyone throat at the time but is a fun movie.
TERRANCE OUT
Weird I thought it was great trailer
It actually is a great trailer👍. I don't know why he felt it's generic 😅
For those they may think it'll be "fire," don't put it up to high. Besides, we know the focus will be on the new kid. Our OGs have become O.L.D. Don't expect much from them. 😅 They just got bills to pay after all. 😆 Jackie n Chris did say the same of Rush Hour.
As long as they get that Old Master is badass treatment it's fine.
No Luke Skywalker's only Master Roshi's.
At least the action looks good, I just hope we get some crazy fight sequences
Hopefully it's a hit so we can get rush hour 4
Jackie Chan
Looks good in my opinion. ❤
" Still ain't finished it yet "
Same. I need nephew here to watch it with.
What happened to Jaden Smith Karate Kid?
Kk3 Terry silver was my favourite 😂
Looks good i love all the karate kids and cobra kai
I’m hyped 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Seeing it for sure!
How ever it is, with what we've seen with Cobra Kai. At least we know it won't be woke!!! And it will still be better than Disney shit!!!
I am sorry, I don't agree at al, but that's what happens when people think less of other martial arts. But I am still gonna watch it because it looks AMAZING!!!!!
Looks good, as long as it stays true to the story lines and continues to the tradition. But then again, I am a martial artist, so yeah...
This is one of those movies where idc if it’s not that great
I don't know why but "CGI Mr Miyagi" sounds so wrong and funny at the same time😂
I can't wait to see this movie on my birthday May 30th.
The Production should have included Julie Pierce as well from “The Next Karate Kid” movie
They should’ve had Johnny instead of Daniel. It would’ve been hilarious! 😂
it looks good except he's practicing Kung fu Calling that movie karate kid..
It looks good
Ralph isn’t gonna let this flop. I’m optimistic
Why learn Miyagi Do, when you can learn from Johnny Lawrence's Cobra Kai?
Not expecting a cameo at all but I'm hoping at the very least they address Jaden's Dre character from the previous movie
It’s sad to see how old Jackie Chan is. Looks like we’re never getting another rush hour 😔
Edit: I’m glad you guys are more positive than me ^^
They are making another rush hr
if A new Indy film could happen Rush Hour is in the cards for sure
Oh yes we will I Hope It’s TIME hopefully after this movie
@@bludhaven421 They BEEN saying this since like 2015. Nearly a decade. It ain’t happenin
@ 😂😂😂
Looks like it's going to be 🔥🔥🔥
Looks good man!
Feel like this movie is gonna be epic
Sony needs this win. 🤣
I'll never say never....
That was a great trailer
Looks 😂 generic came out the blue, OG Tyrone still on point
love you're shirt
Thought it was a video game from the thumbnail. Fooled me.
Well, if going by the trailer alone, I didn't care for it at all
Karate Kid 3 is the best!! Terry Silver is the man
Jackie chan is a legend
Jaden smith was my first karate kid I haven’t seen the others but this could give me the motivation to see the OG ones
Takes place three years after cobra Kai so whatever happens in the last five episodes I think Daniel shuts down his dojo and lets Johnny take over r
I wonder who will be the main villain…
Is Cobra Kai canon in this movie?
Trailer look great and the cgi mr miyagi was in cobra Kai you’ll see it when u finish the series
Idk, I liked this trailer quite a bit!
Is it a sequel to Cobra Kai or does it not acknowledge it?
The writers already said it's a sequel to Cobra Kai 👍
It's supposedly taking place years after Cobra Kai. I'm assuming they're saving Zabka for the sequel.
Yes, I’m assuming this movie gonna introduce a spinoff of Cobra Kai that centers around Jackie Chan and his students
Cobra Kai is a good series. And this is the last season, part 3 drops in February. You still have time to catch up.
Is this canon to kobra Kai?
3 wasn't that bad.. I mean silver was the goat villian
Cobra Kai videos?
Cobra Kai only has 3 episodes then that’s the end of cobra Kai the series.
Cobra Kai Season 6 has 15 Episodes. 5 Episodes than Ends Cobra Kai Series.
@ I meant 3 episodes left.
I love it. With all this nonsense trash movies, I'll definitely watch them for real ❤ that's my childhood right there.n
Will see this one also
Please God dont do a CGI Miyagi.
Where the fk is BILLY?!?
we’ll probably have a small cameo with his new baby
Where the fk isn’t BILLY?!? He was everywhere man
Zabka?
@@therevolutionwillnotbeyoutubedYes, Zabka.
Guess I have to watch the boring remake again
I heard this will take place after cobra Kai
👍even half trailer I seen
Interesting
Bill Contis music is missing like hell
What do you think of the cobra Kai series Tyrone?
Loved cobra kai
Much like Tyrone, I only watched "The next Karate Kid" once, somewhere around the 2000s and didn't quite like it. But recently I gave it a rewatch, and I got to say, it's way better than I gave it credit for.
How many times can they redo the same story? Anyone who wants to relive the magic of the original, just watch the original.
All i can do is hope the culture behind the movie is allowed to come through Otherwise they ruined another idea.
If feel bad for Jaden. He's had a bad run with movies, mostly because his dad has been controlling his movie career from what it looks like. I just hope the man has found some peace in all that family drama so that doesn't bleed into the new movie. You know how everyone is high on the social politics and it's bound to happen.
So like does Jaden not exist in the universe just confused why Jackie Chan wouldn’t bring Jaden😭😭😭
no Xiao Dre?
This day and age, a generic movie is better than having “the message” in it.
We all saw what they did in Alien: Romulus right?! So if there is really a CGI Mr Miyagi they should cut that out of the film!
I would have like the Jaden Smith Karate Kid movie more if it called Kung Fu Kid or something similar. Still, I agree, trailer look generic. We'll see. This doesn't have the draw to get me to the movies...yet
My favorite in order 1, 2, Smith(Kk) and 3. Kk 4 shoukd never be mentioned ever again.
Starting to have the IP Man effect. The franchise is gonna be all over the place from one origin. Im a still watch it though.
I wonder if this has any relation to the Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith movie back in 2010 or is this a reboot?
Hope movie is better than the show
I personally didn't like Karate Kid with Jackie Chan. It should have been called Kung Fu Kid as it didn't have Karate in it at all. This one has my interest as it appears they're trying to rectify that issue by teaching the students Kung Fu and Karate, however, the title is still throwing me off.

Can they end this franchise.
The this trope is WAY overused. It's just "different" because of Chan and Macchio.
Respectfully.
