I second (or third?) this. You will LOVE Englishman in New York. The Big Push gave it such a lovely sound, and Ren changed "confront your enemies, avoid them when you can" to "befriend your enemies, confront them when you can." Typical Ren: choosing kindness.

I went and listened to both of the originals and I really like this the best. You just never know what Ren is bringing to us. It just gets better and better.
TBH when Ren promised a cover of his favorite jungle song, I thought he meant the genre "jungle", and so I went looking for a chaotic hardcore drum n bass beat with a tribal undercurrent. Now I know! This was a fantastic performance and reaction, cheers!

I've been watching alot of reactions . So I've heard it a few tunes I was trying to figure out who these vocals reminded me of in parts in the beginning. One of my all time favorite singers " "Smokey Robison"
Yes! I thought of Smokey too and was surprised when none of the reactors mentioned the Smokey vibe. I love that Ren has been inspired by so many artists in a wide variety of musical genres and can't be put in any musical box. It really makes him stand out in a time when a lot of the mainstream music is written by committee, is often over produced and auto tuned, stripping the music (overall) of individuality. It’s great that Ren doesn't alter his music to be technically perfect now for note, so we get unique performances each time that shine with his artistic expression and emotion.

Good evening, Dawn! I really love the way they did this video. It was perfect! I love that 70s vibe. Although in 74 I was just a wee bearded Bill and I was probably rocking back and forth on my plastic horsey. You know, the one on four springs and the metal frame. Damn thing drove my mom crazy but I loved it.
Ren and friends have the cool factor that makes it work. They're slick. And wow, that voice! I read a comment that said they came here to watch not knowing Ren and now they're a believer! I love that!

probably a few times - this is a great showcase of how much he's improved, not that the busking was bad, it wasn't, but seeing the improvement is awe inspiring.
I would like to rename the background singers to foreground singers, seems more fitting. They're so smooth.
Is it weird that the thing I like best about this is the little interceptions like the word ‘takedown’ ‘breakdown’ and ‘pause’. Just love the whole song and appreciate the joy on your face.💕👍🦇

Great song and great reaction. And Ren is proving masterful again with his voice. In addition to all the obvious influences, in the beginning I couldn't help but being reminded of The Zombies. I know, it's weird because no one will probably ever heard of this band nowadays but a bit of the style in Ren's delivery of the first few lines gave me throwback vibes. And who knows, Ren is familiar with so many styles of music so he might have even heard of the obscurest of the obscure.

When he starting singing Message in a Bottle it left me wanting to hear him do the whole song, he does it justice... I'm sure Sting would be impressed with it too. I know there are busking videos out there of him doing parts/portions of it, some more than others, but this is him really, really growing in to the vibe, and just nailing it.
