- I've accumulated a good amount of 80's and 90's Barbies as of late and the only way for me to really get through them all is to just throw random dolls into a video and open them lol. Retro Barbies are the best I love them, the quality, thoughtfulness, creativity put into those dolls is unbeatable.
(grin) That fabric is "dotted swiss" Jay. Here's a tip for the mold Barbie. After you clean her up, get a little container of cat litter. Pour it into a shoebox and just lay the Barbie on it. It will dry up the mold, AND take care of the smell. It's wise to leave her in there for a week or so because the mold might have gotten inside the doll. The dry environment will kill it because there's no moisture. Cat litter is great that way; it's must for thrifters.

My fondness for barbies started in the late 70's. My favorites are from the 80's. Those are all very nice. My favorite is, country bride. My kids played with pogs. Seems like they were not around that long.
I was too busy playing with my Barbies to even think of chewing on the pumps. I wanted to keep my Barbie stuff in good condition. 😊

It isn’t just you. Mattel’s quality has dropped terribly over the last decade unfortunately.
At the beginning of this video I was saying to myself "I used to chew on those Barbie pumps" then when you said it I couldn't do anything but laugh!! Keep up the awesome reviews!!

Jeez, I take my 90's Barbies so carefully out of the box, and it's a nightmare for me if there's an elastic band in their hair and it's disintegrated with time and falls apart once I take the doll out of the packaging.
Anyway, I loved that Pog Barbie, and enjoyed your video as always.

the way he ripped off the boxes was horrific!! if you were getting late for something then it wasn't the right time unboxing the dolls ,this video is not suitable for kids as it looked more of a horror movie lol

I don’t really like the Teresa face mold usually, it’s a bit oblong looking somehow, but this doll is pretty and I love dark haired dolls.

I wonder what is really going on with Mattel? All those fat and too tall Barbies and Kens are ridiculous, let alone the articulation which most of today Barbies have lost. Now it's just a plastic stupid thing looking like a real person, but you can't do anything with it. Barbie was the first doll ever to have had articulated legs and now she's just standing in a box, but the price is sometimes unreasonably high. No children are interested in most of their new releases, 'coz they don't understand what to do with the thing, and yes I call it a thing now, because it is not a doll I used to know anymore. Sad. I wish Mattel would return to the superstar mold and that era of Barbie.
Anton Tkachuk I collect Barbies and I never buy the modern ones! They’re just inferior in every way to the vintage Barbies. In the 80s and 90s is when they were at their absolute best, I like a few from the early 00s, but after that they just went downhill.
I totally agree about the “realistic” dolls too! I don’t want my dolls realistic! I want them slim and perfect as they always were. (Which is realistic to some people anyway).
