    Her voice is classic heavy metal. Her voice is so incredible. She brought it that’s for damn sure. It makes me happy that women are feeling more comfortable about being in heavy metal bands cause they can bring down the fuckin house with their voices. Definitely looking forward to more reactions. You should check them out live... Saw them support Rhapsody of Fire and Orden Ogan , and by all looks of it, most of the 200 something (what they managed to cram into that far too small venue) was there for the other 2 bands.. I felt very alone when i was one of perhaps only a handful who could name (or sing) more than one of their songs..
      Glad this band is getting better known, they was super sweet after the gig and they played a really great concert (as far as i recall it, it was their first gig in Denmark)

      Like SortenRavn said, definitely see them live, whenever possible! I saw them at a tiny little bar a few years ago and met the whole band. They were all very nice and down-to-earth and put on an AMAZING show, even though the crowd was small. I'm very happy to see they're getting more popular, as it's well deserved (and way overdue!).

      Powermetal is perhaps THE most "adventorus" form of metal (yes pun intended)
      Blind Guardian, Symphony X, Rhapsody of Fire, Epica, Eluveite amd so many more.
      If metal in general is "soul music", then powermetal is the fantasy journey and the dreams we proberly all has (or had).
      Where we're king or great warriors of huge kingdoms ..

    Ok, some facts you probably missed there. The drummer is using double strikes on each hit, which makes his drummer a lot more efficient, but harder to play. Bass player is using 2 different techniques at one time, and he s doing some sweeppicking, without at pick. Singer is using a middle tone in this video, but her ranges is brutally wide, listen close to all the high ranked notes she put on secondary voices. And the guitars are as awesome live as are in this video, son dont miss a chance to see them live.

    • @chobe78
      @chobe78 5 лет назад +3

      I'd say the drummer is playing double strokes because he feels more comfortable playing like that. :)

    • @meusana3681
      @meusana3681 5 лет назад +3

      Alternating doubles are definitely not more efficient. They are purely a technical exercise. If he would have overlapped the doubles, maybe that could be considered "efficient", but those are a show off skill. And he may gladly do so :) What he is doing is a heal up technique alternating from a toe first position to a middle second on each leg. This requires you to suspend your upper leg through your hip. Considerably more work than just using your calves.
      Like...I can do that tempo of straight forward double bass for probably an hour without stopping or slipping. Not to blow my own horn or anything, that's just a simple drumming exercise (not that long though, I'm being theoretical). But, I can't do those for more than a minute or so before my leg starts to kill me.

      Aaron Peart I wonder if he was a guitarist first, it reminds me of high speed classical fingerpicking (such as in the piece Leyenda). It certainly looks like an efficient way to keep pace with the guitars at this tempo; he makes it seem effortless

  • @cobrasys

    Alex, I've seen this video within a week or so of when you first posted it, but didn't comment on it then, for whatever reason. I had never heard of Unleash The Archers before, and on a whim I clicked to watch you reaction (the fact that I found the band name cool was a factor as well, not gonna lie).
    I watch quite a few reaction channels, (I love watching people experience the music I love for the first time, it's always a joy to watch you guys fall in love with those songs as well), but I usually only watch reactions of songs I already know. This one was the exception to that rule (the only one, I think) and boy, am I glad I decided to open that exception! In a way, my experience watching reaction channels is, in my head, me showing you guys the songs I like; this was the only case where *I* was the one being shown something new to listen to, which was quite the strange (but not unwelcome) experience.
    UTA has since then become one of my favourite bands... but I just now realized I never thanked you for showing them to me -- so thank you, very very much! 😁 And keep on rocking on, my friend! 🤘

    I have absolutely no idea who requested this or how many, but thank you :D
    I am a huge fan of them since the early beginnings. I never thought that you would react to such a band, because they are not very "big". But channel like yours(and many other react channel) should give some of the "lesser known bands" a chance and introduce them to a wider audience.
    Btw, they are straight down to earth, super nice people!
    You should react to "General of the Dark Army" Music Video, its from their Second Album "Demons of the AstroWaste. They did their first two albums independent and shot their music videos with their own efforts. (You definitely can see that but there goes a lot of heart and soul into those).
    Another thing to note is, that Brittney Hayes(or better Brittney Slayes), the Vocalist absolutely sounds like this LIVE. and i am not exaggerating.
    Their musicianship is truly unreal. I also like to mention that the Bass Player(which joined the band relativity recent) has a very cool and unconventional style of playing, but brings a lot to the table for their sound.
    Greetings from Germany and keep on reacting to Bands like this

    One of if not my favourite Canadian metal band, and Apex is probably my favourite album from them. This was pretty much my reaction the first time I listened to the album! Mehh, its gold for power metal addicts. But it gets really old after 7 minutes in, and you kinda hope it would climax to a new song, but then the next song starts and its just the same influences of Sons of Winter, this is a great example of an epic metal band shooting themselves in the foot. You really can't listen to the rest of their music when you are introduced to this song. Shame, but yeah. Epic band, definitely give them a try, but I suggest going through their older titles first.
