- Becoming a boat captain may not be as hard as most people thing. To take the basic course qualifies you to skipper a boat up to 12m. For anything larger than this you require a more in depth qualification. However, for most purposes, this allows you to go wake boating, jet skiing, wake surfing or just a little boat party with 10 friends.
I took the course with Al Bateen Marine Training Institute which took me two days. The first day is theory and the second is practical. We took the boat out at Port Rashid and within two day's I had passed the exam.

I am truly shocked by this. Although only a very brief look inside the course, based on your comments, for both yours and others safety, even though you have a 'skippers ticket' of sorts, I highly recommend you do far more more research before putting to sea.

It cost AED 2,000 to get the qualification. Then the government charges something when you get the license. I think it was AED 500 in Dubai
do we need registration for small 2 person inflatable row boat like the explorer 300 ?
I don’t think you need one for any type of row boat. Does it have any engine at all?

@@entertainmentsonly5409 Contact Al Bateen Marine Training Institute. They do the courses to get a qualification. It costs AED 2,000. Then you can apply for the DMCA license for Dubai or the FTA license for the other emirates. I think they cost AED 500 and AED 150 respectively.

@@entertainmentsonly5409 Yeah should be. You also need to get a medical test to submit for the license. For Fujairah it's the FTA that licenses for that emirate.
Sir When I Get this License How Can I get Job As A Boat Driver And How Much Salary Of a Boat Driver
You'd have to apply for companies that operate boats separately. But your license will help because you already have it. Salary depends on where you are and the company. Which country are you in?

Yes they can. There are many qualifications for various size boats but once you have your qualification then you are eligible for jobs for whatever your qualification allows you to drive.

How much does boat docking costs in Dubai ?
It depends in which marina and how big the space is but a 12m boat in Dubai Marina is about AED 30k a year
