2 bits of advice: 1. Create a new Career Profile and buy your starter car. Save the game and then do this money hack. 2. You might need to right click on the 'PlayerAttributes.json' file and open in notepad or another text editor. Double-clicking the file may not open it by default. Good luck!
You can also go through files and search ‘beamNG’ and find the folder, but it’s slower. Never thought to use launcher until I’d already figured it out.

I thought it wasn’t in the latest save and tried a different one and found what I was looking for so I went back and looked on the latest and it was there, I just missed it the first few times I looked through it.
change the value to what you want in whichever save you opened first (autosave 1/2/3 or so on), copy the whole notepad and paste it into all of the other playerattrib files of the other autosaves. load into a different beam mode, like the garage or a campaign, then load back into career. you should notice the change when you click on career.

Did you definitely use your latest autosave? And was the career profile fresh with the only vehicle purchase your starter car (covet, 200BX or I-series from quarryside autos)?

Every time the game updates everyone loses their cars and money. To save the grind, this hack restores your wealth and gets you back to where you were before the update

Can't you do this more than once on a given save? I did it 2 weeks ago but I ran out of money because instead of writing 300 million I wrote 300 thousand but now nothing changes when I do it
The answer is I don't know - But I'd try updating all of your autosaves as the game seems to not always read from the latest one. Not sure why this is.
I did not work the tutorial, I tried many fomras. creating a new mode, putting a lot and little money but nothing turned out.
It might be patched. The devs do this from time to time and it’s getting harder to use the cheat. I will take a look and see what I can do. There hasn’t been a major update but they maybe closed off this hack
@@Stewbacca3 it is semi-patched, it checks older autosaves and corrects. All you need to do now is change the number in all 3 autosaves.

@@nerfgodbigguy1405 I’m excited for the final career mode, because I’m retired and have nothing much to do, although I have been busy lately. I don’t like the speed cameras though, I’m losing tons of money, I feel like it should trigger a police chase at a certain speed.

If you have more than one auto save, try doing this method on them all, restart the game and see if that works.

idk why but this was the same way i did it before the update and it doesnt work anymore i saw somthing about using the tilda key but going in too the .json doesnt work for me
What happens when you right click and open the .json file?

@@Stewbacca3 I basically clicked my accidentally to open with gimp. And now I revert it to notepad like yours. It does save in the code line but doesn’t show up in game. Maybe it’s because I messed it up first with gimp. I also did not have the original 3 cars since I sold it for my Ferrari mod😂

I cannot use notepad to open it, it doesn’t show the option
If you right click the file, is there not an ‘open with’ option or something similar and you can pick notepad etc from a list? If not, open notepad and try dragging the file in.

It should let you do a file>Save as long as you don’t have BeamNG running at the time

Didn't work for me mine is from steam too, game wasn't running either,
Edit: also after saving running the game when I went back to the attributes file it said 45000 there but didn't in the game.

The playerattributes file? You should be able to go up to file in the top menu and click save

There is already a sandbox mode that you can drive whatever you want. What's the point of hacking career lol 😂

Good question. For me, showcasing missions and testing new vehicles in career mode. For some people, every time the game updates, their progress is lost so this allows them to buy the car they just lost without weeks of grinding.

I don’t think there has been an update. Try editing all of your auto saves. Not just the most recent one. Some folks have had success doing that.

@AkimboSubs yeah, it’s likely you will have a few different folders called Autosave 1, Autosave 2 etc. if you edit the file in each Autosave folder in the way described in the video then that might work for you. Not sure why that’s the case but people have been telling me it has worked for them. Let me know how you get on. 🤞

Many players lost their earnings when the 0.32 update came out. So this method is a way to restore that wealth.
Freeroam is more boring lol
not gonna put in the work from 0.31 again to buy my bugatti for 1.5mil
@@brudititanbymare993 what bugatti? You can drive every car and make custom configs for each one of them on freeroam. There were warning signs everywhere that the career mode is still at a very early stage and you'll lose all the progress with updates.
