Chris, stop sating they won't play OSU tough bro. Ohio State is fantastic, but Marshall put up 14 on em in the first half. They're not untouchable. This is not me saying that Iowa will win
McNamara is a perfectly adequate QB. The passing game will take some time to put together rhythm and timing no matter who Iowa has at QB. Coach Lester it seems has been patient with implementing his full offense. That said they'd better grow up fast.
Iowa wins 31-14 and here comes another week of “hate Cade”.. he was fine today.. the O line is awful in pass protection, really good in run blocking.. two words: Deacon Hill
They’re not terrible in pass pro, Minnesota was just selling out on the run every play damn near. It’s hard for 5 to block 6. I do agree about the Cade thing though. He’s what we need. He has a real presence that you can see provides an extra spark for this offense. Last two games, no picks, and over 80% completion rate I believe, and has his legs healthy if he needs em. That’s perfect
@@Jus-Too-Smoove Good reply.. i think you are right there with the minny sell out... To their credit, they challenged the passing game and smacked us in the mouth for a quarter... it happens.
@@geofencingTV Yea, as long as we find ways to win, we’ll look pretty damn good this year. That damn Iowa State game wan an anomaly. I mean, we’re averaging 30 points a game. Someone give Tim, Brians bonus 🤣.

The problem for Iowa going to Ohio State is they have no threat that will back that defense up. So they can bring everybody up except one safety and they will be so close to the line of scrimmage and have such good lateral speed that they will be able to shut down Iowas running game. Cade won’t have an answer. Unfortunately, I think this is similar to the Penn State game from last year or the year before where Iowa did nothing and got steamrolled 31-0. My guess is Ohio State wins 35-3 or 38-3… something like that.
This teams blocking scheme is way better than last year. Tim Lester is significantly better at setting plays up than Brian. Kaleb was injured last year also. Nothing major, but enough to hinder his performance. Minnesota literally just applied the very tactic that you just mentioned, and Kaleb ran for 206 yards. Argue that OSU has the better athletes if you want to. Youll waste your energy. Minnesota isn’t bad, and as much as I don’t like PJ, he isn’t a bad coach. OSU can bring as many people as they want, Tim isn’t that dumb to where he’s going to continue to run his guys into a scarlett brick wall. We’ll take what Cade is giving us all day, 70-80% completion rate, making the throws that need to be made is all we need. This isn’t a case for why I think Iowa will win, because I don’t, but they’re not going scoreless or without some TDs. If Marshall can put up 14, Iowa certainly can. Whether it was garbage time or not. Which it wasn’t by the way
10:27 Thats the thing though Chris, Cade is having these really low pass yardage kind of games, but it almost felt like every pass that got completed resulted in a first down. Except for that bullshit little screen pass to Kaleb Johnson. We’ll take that every game
At half time Phil and Kirk just simply asked, "Are we Iowa?"
I think that half time will be the turning point of the season.
Good work lil bros!!!!
Caleb Johnson. Wow.
His dominance reminds me of the Shonn Greene season. They’re not similar players at all.
Dudes big time.

If Iowa scores against Ohio State it will be the first points scored against a ranked team by the hawks in 2 years.

Sometimes a good team needs a hard loss to galvanize as a unit. That 2002 team maybe doesn't do what it did without that loss.
OSU looks awfully dependent on big plays...against low end competition.

In the old days it was. I don't know when this 'football move' rule started but it's nonsense.

McNamara won't make it thru the OSU game. He is made out of paper mache and sticks. Bootleg will be super dangerous to his brittle career. Yikes
