- In this video we take a look at what's inside the box of Lindbergs Diesel Tug kit.
This kit started it's life in 1956 by a company called Pyro Plastics. The kit has been re-released many times by many other companies to include Life Like and Revell.
This is kit No. 77221, hope you enjoy the video.
Looking forward to seeing this build Johnny. Have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks for watching Jimmy, have a great weekend too! Johnny
Hi Johnny, that certainly is something different, and as they say, a change is as good as a holiday, looking forward seeing how it builds up, best regards from Australia, Les
Thanks for the comment Les, it's certainly a change from the usual! We'll have fun with it! Take care. Johnny
Looks like a cool build thanks for sharing eh!✌Canada✌enjoy your weekend
Thanks so much, we'll have a lot of fun with this one James! Take care and have a great week! Johnny
This is a really interesting choice of kit Johnny, I love it. I'm very much looking forward to seeing how you handle this one between clean up and producing extra detail. Good luck finding the chain!
I think it's time for use to broaden our horizons a little Gerry, LOL. I really do love old kits because they give us so much room to be creative and scratch build. It's going to be exciting! Thanks for watching my friend, Johnny
Looking forward to the build.
We have a lot of room for some scratch building on this one!
Looks very much of its time. Reminds me of the old Airfix kits I built in the early 70’s. I will be interested to see how this one goes together.
Thanks Simon! This one will be a little more challenging because I hope to do a lot of improvements on this old kit. Thanks for watching. 😉Johnny
Does look jolly nice 👍
It does! We are going to have fun with this one Steve! Johnny
Wow, this is a blast from the past! I think this is the first civilian subject that you have built on your channel and I for one look forward to seeing how you overcome the challenges of this one. I am curious if Lindberg had to pay a licensing fee to J.L. Loyd to produce this old kit. I am curious, will you be doing a clean build or add some weathering on your kit. Take care Johnny.
Hi Christopher, I think some weathering would be appropriate, and this old kit has plenty of room for scratch building. And yes, your right, it is the first civilian subject I've done on the channel. really looking forward to it. Thanks for watching! Johnny
looks like fun and hope to keep up,
This old kit is going to give us plenty of room to be creative, lets hope I can manage it, LOL. Thanks for watching, take care and model on. Johnny
@@hillbillymodeling yes indeed, and i been around my share of tugs with dad being 20 year navy vet with lots of sea duty across both ponds on destroyers. i noticed your last item showing was " rope " or " cable ". rigging spool, black, anxious about that as i have had problems with rigging
👍👍
👌👌
The reason the hull has no seamline and flash around the edges is the edges are the seam -- the mold was internal/external not right/left.
Thanks for the info, it can also be converted into an RC, which is nice.
Try using brass pedals.
Hi Robert, thanks for tuning in and for the tip, take care and model on. Johnny
