G -1’s atomic breath is basically a nuke, yes, but Godzilla can tank nukes to the face, and with his evolved form, he can absorb most of the radiation and still have enough room for more. Also, he’s incredibly agile whenever. G -1 isn’t that fast, at least when he’s simply moving around. He is fast when attacking, but not being able to move faster then your opponent is a disadvantage

Also, Evolved G has a 20x capacity of Radiation, meaning the amount of radiation he absorbed thanks to Serizawa wouldn’t be enough to completely overload him.
