I am amazed by how they control the puppets well. But If I had watched this when I was a child, I think I would be terrified because this is far different from the kids shows I used to watch. But as an adult, I find this very interesting and a master piece.

okay, so what happened was these two boys wanted to go to the mountain the old guy said no way there's oni (type of demon). they go anyway and decide they're hungry. then a lady pops out. they think she's a demon at first, but she reassures them by saying "don't worry I'm not an oni just a nice, nice lady." she offers them food and a place to stay. they're eating their fill and are in bed when one wakes up to see the old lady in her true form, as an oni. he warns the other that she's an oni, and they get caught being awake and freaking out over her being an oni when she captures them. they say they need to go to the bathroom and escape there where they pull out one of the 3 talismans the old man gave them before they left (sorry forgot to mention that). the 3 talismans save them in different ways while they keep saying the "strange prayer" of "I like to eat, I hate to be eaten." they make it back to the shrine but ran out of talismans. they beg the old man to let them in he keeps denying like everything else, but eventually lets them in. then the demon comes, and the old man eventually invites her in. she asks where the boys are, and he says he knows but won't tell her and says she'd have to be really big to get them. she becomes huge then he says "they're actually in this bread but you'd have to be really tiny to find them sucks you're so big lol." she's all like "lol oni can become small too get rekt". then she gets small and goes into the bun, and he eats her. he asks if the boys want to go back to the mountain someday. they say no, but then he says they should because there's no more oni there.

Es creativo y sorprendente el como manejaron las marionetas en estos segmentos, sumado a que las historias te enganchan fácilmente.

"Me lo contaron en Japón" fue una de las mejores series que vi de niño, pero si, hubo unos cuentos q me asustaban como el del dios de la fortuna, la bruja de la montaña o el de un ogro rojo. Espero que más gente al rededor del mundo haya podido disfrutar en su idioma estos cuentos en la época antes del internet.

小学校１年生～4年生までの時期、大まかに10歳と仮定して44年前ですか？ちょっとはっきりしませんが、再放送の時かも知れないしね。
とにかく、小学生の時は、良く学校を休んでました。高学年になってからは、体が丈夫になって休んだ記憶があまりないので、時期はそんな感じです。
今みても、人形の作りも表現も声優さんも、すべてが素晴らしい作品です。映像が残っていたことが何よりうれしいです。
昭和のアニメも人形劇も、特撮怪獣映画も、すべて職人魂みたいな、ものを作るときの気合いみたいなものが感じられますね。😊

okay, so what happened was these two boys wanted to go to the mountain the old guy said no way there's oni (type of demon). they go anyway and decide they're hungry. then a lady pops out. they think she's a demon at first, but she reassures them by saying "don't worry I'm not an oni just a nice, nice lady." she offers them food and a place to stay. they're eating their fill and are in bed when one wakes up to see the old lady in her true form, as an oni. he warns the other that she's an oni, and they get caught being awake and freaking out over her being an oni when she captures them. they say they need to go to the bathroom and escape there where they pull out one of the 3 talismans the old man gave them before they left (sorry forgot to mention that). the 3 talismans save them in different ways while they keep saying the "strange prayer" of "I like to eat, I hate to be eaten." they make it back to the shrine but ran out of talismans. they beg the old man to let them in he keeps denying like everything else, but eventually lets them in. then the demon comes, and the old man eventually invites her in. she asks where the boys are, and he says he knows but won't tell her and says she'd have to be really big to get them. she becomes huge then he says "they're actually in this bread but you'd have to be really tiny to find them sucks you're so big lol." she's all like "lol oni can become small too get rekt". then she gets small and goes into the bun, and he eats her. he asks if the boys want to go back to the mountain someday. they say no, but then he says they should because there's no more oni there.
最初の受け答えは和尚さんに許可貰うんじゃなくて、あくまで小僧たちに選択させる→何が起こっても自分たちの責任ってことかなぁと思いました。大人になってから見ると受け取り方も全然違って面白いですね。

Es creativo y sorprendente el como manejaron las marionetas en estos segmentos, sumado a que las historias te enganchan fácilmente.

大抵の三枚のお札は小僧さんは一人だけですが、こちらは2人バージョンですね
こっちは原作などのよく知られてるストーリーパターンと多少違ってて面白い
水攻めと火炎攻撃が逆ですね。まんが日本昔ばなしは、水攻めの水を飲んで火炎攻撃の際にその水を吹き出して鎮火して小僧を追いかけてましたね

It's supposed to be traumatizing. The adults back then made this kind of story so kids don't wander in the forest at night and inevitably get lost and die of starvation.
鬼が現れた時の今後の参考にしたいけど、食べた後身体から突き破ってきたり鬼になってしまうんじゃないかと思うとなかなか行動にうつせない

保育園児の頃お昼休みにこれ流れて鬼の顔怖くてめちゃくちゃ泣いてた記憶がある
3枚の御札、懐かしい。見てた気がするなぁ。小僧さん達が可愛いくて
この和尚様のような人になりたい。とぼけているようで実はきちんと先を見ている。子どもにはあえて失敗をさせて学ばせるところが素晴らしい。
自分が昔みた絵本だと２枚目が大量の水でせきとめるも山姥がすべて飲み込んでしまい
３枚目は炎で足止めするが、先ほど飲んだ水を吐き出して火を消してしまう流れでした。
子ども心に２枚目と３枚目逆にすればいいのにお札も融通利かないなぁと思ったのを覚えています。
ともかく懐かしい話を思い出させました。ありがとうございます。

"Me lo contaron en Japón" fue una de las mejores series que vi de niño, pero si, hubo unos cuentos q me asustaban como el del dios de la fortuna, la bruja de la montaña o el de un ogro rojo. Espero que más gente al rededor del mundo haya podido disfrutar en su idioma estos cuentos en la época antes del internet.
Creo recordar el programa. ¿De casualidad uno de ellos, era sobre un tipo tan avaro que murió de hambre, por no querer usar ni compartir, el arroz que tenía almacenado?

Yo lo veia de niño tambien. Lo ponian en la televisión educativa local junto con otras decenas de programas japoneses como: Ciencia para niños con Tiko y Tika, Niños en crecimiento con el Mono Pedro (el del Meme) y Puedo Hacerlo Yo? con Nopo y Gonta. Si ponen en el buscador de U2 "Me lo contaron en Japón" les aparecen muchos episodios subidos en varios canales, sacados del VHS. Un saludo desde Panama. 👋
