I am a mechanic of 20 years and I have to say, my mind was blown at the simple card board to label the bolt location trick. Big thumbs up, and thanks 👍
I like to learn new things like this, so I also like to share it when I can. Little tips and tricks can save the day. Thanks for watching.
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures much appreciated. Will use any time I'm tearing down an engine from here out. Big step up from laying them in a circle.
DUDE - you just saved my life! Thank you for this awesome explanation of what i thought was a gorribly complex process!
Get a manual, watch a few videos, take your time, double check everything and you’ve got it!
Awesome vid. Thanks for my kind of explanation!!
@@ericwyman-cp5ke glad it helped!
Thumbs up for the KGB sign. I grew up in SD, listened to the DSC show all the time! Still have my bobblehead SD Chicken from a Padres game. The rhino engine vid aint half bad either. :)
Zach Hewitt I dig it when people pick up details in the background. DSC is still on the air. Love your show!
Tom's Tinkering and Adventures I miss Chainsaw.
Zach Hewitt you should listen online, call into the show. I listen every morning.
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures I'll have to give a listen again. I've become a talk radio guy. Nothing like DSC here in Denver.
Breaking down my '05 Rhino today, thanks to yours and a couple others vids.
Zach Hewitt Shelly retired two years ago but they are still going. Good luck with the Rhino!
Tried to contact you about a question regarding this head gasket replacement. Tried going to your about link to contact you but unfortunately it won't direct me to a contact link.
R. M. B. Not sure why not, I get plenty of people who email me....
Not sure. It will take me to my email but gives me no address to send a pm or direct email to you
In order to pull do you have to be top dead center?
Jeremy Carter you don’t have to be. Probably recommended though.
How many valve head bolts were there? I can’t seem to get it to budge
If you’re talking about the cylinder head I believe there are seven. Got a manual?
There’s like 16 on valve cover
@@hotbox_chevy4391 be sure to get the two next to the intake valves
i have a 07 4x4 qlink forntrunner 700 motor is a hisun700 not the efi one well i am re doing the top end gasket on it from bottom of motor to the top all brand new well i am a youtuber on things i not sure about and i not sure what i need to tighten the jug bolts to and the head bolts and the cam and lifter cover bolts need to be set at they have the same motor as the yamaha rhino any info at all would help thanks there are like no videos of any of the off brand utv or the hisun motors not sure y but i add all my video i can about then for the people out there like me that need help like i do
Well if the engine is a Yamaha clone you can likely find a cheap copy of the Rhino manual online. If you’re doing that much engine work you’re going to want it. Good luck!
Hey Tom great video its very helpful, thank you for the info.
Tried to contact you but the link didnt work for me. I had a question for you.
Seems to work, been getting messages. Post up your contact.
Was looking for someone to fix mine if interested.
@@richlight17 did you post on FB recently?
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures no sir I dont have a facebook.
@@richlight17 ok, there was someone asking on there.
I’ve got my wiseco top end back on Went to turn it over and I’m out of time so I’ve pulled my valve cover back off pulled my cam and cog and I’m gonna try to time my grizz is there anyway you can private message me I course sure use the help lol thank you
Jeremy Carter on my channel page, on the about tab there’s a link to contact me.
You don’t have to take the cam apart
Momma Tried41 it’s been a bit since I was in this engine, but I don’t remember enough room to get the cam out without removing the sprocket. Maybe I am wrong....
So basically what you are saying..............it wasn’t the battery? 🤨
Well, the battery ain’t doing great either.
Tom's Tinkering and Adventures i got lost after you said something about reading a manual... not sure what it meant but it can’t be that important 🤷🏽♂️
Robert Roy I didn’t read it yet!
