I was looking at some of your other videos this is the one that really pops in my mind. Looks like it's a winning combo as far as the lens and camera together. I've heard a lot of nice things about that 35-70 contex lens. Keep up the good work looks good.
This is such nice footage. How do you deal with cutting light, given the rotating front element? That's the only thing putting me off about grabbing one of these lenses...
Thanks! Im pretty sure I just used a screw on variable ND. Or maybe I stacked a couple single ND’s. It was a while ago, but those are the two ways I normally apply any kind of ND to photo lenses. The rotating front element on the Contax Zeiss lenses was never really a problem for the above.
Thanks! No gimbal. All handheld. The in-body stabilization is excellent on these cameras. The picture profile for this video was just a slightly tweaked “Standard” profile shot in 6K. The lens was the Contax Zeiss 35-70 3.4 adapted using a $20 adapter found on Amazon. Hope all that was helpful. Cheers!
@@jessevogelaar6209 Not really. I find that as long as I keep the IBIS set at the wider end of the lenses focal length, it holds up pretty well without adjusting it even if I use the zoom during a quick situation. But if I have an extra moment and a specific focal length in mind for something, I’ll just jump in the menu real quick and change the IBIS to that focal length. I hope that was helpful and answered your question. Cheers!
I wanted to ask you a thing that I can't find on any page, do you know (in the firmware of today) wich aspect ratio and framerate can record the S1 in normal prores (NOT RAW) with ninja v or blackmagic video assist? It's impossible to find an updated specification of that
I had the 24-105 when it launched and it’s an awesome all-around lens. I eventually sold it for the Panasonic 24-70 2.8 to get the faster constant aperture. But beyond all that, I just really enjoy shooting with older vintage manual lenses, especially the ones from Contax Zeiss. Hope that was helpful! Cheers
Amazing colours.
looks great
Very Nice! Some of these images almost look 3D.

@@kevinwoolley3101 Thanks! Yeah I really enjoyed this combo. Might have to circle back around at some point and pick it up again. Cheers!

@@CosmicDog thanks for the response. Stacking might be the way to go.
Nice and sharp, 6k feels like it ! Plus the lens is really great
love the grading !
Thanks mate!
Absolutely gorgeous. Can you please tell me more about the settings or equipment that you used? Did you use a gimbal? Thank you.
Thanks!

@@CosmicDog It does, thank you!
@@CosmicDog do you have any issues with ibis when zooming in and out? Do you change the focal length setting in camera?

how does the sharpness of the contax compare to the panasonic 24-70?
Are there any reasons that you chose this lens instead of 24 105 f4?

@@CosmicDog Hey! I saw you had a Tamron as well 24-70 g2 and was wondering how do you compare it to this lens?
