I remember one time at my locals, I was going to combo off to OTK, but my opponent, who was on D/D/D at the time, played Ghost Sister and I patiently played my turn and then I Synchro Summoned a Psychic End Punisher and it had at least 31k and that plus Shooting Majestic equaled game over. The look on my opponent's face was the icing on the cake.
A D/D/D list with Psychic End and Shooting Majestic? That sounds super cool. Shooting Majestic is one of my favorite cards that I just don’t get to play very often
4:18 Droll has an insane play rate in the OCG right now and people have specifically been deckbuilding to not lose to it (like for example Yubel cutting Beckoning Beast to 1-2 copies and searching the Fiendsmith Token generator instead of Tractus). Definitely good vs the meta right now.
I think Droll is currently very strong, but gets worse the format develops and people learn to how to play around them better. This has been the case for a lot of past formats where people think it will be Droll format but ended up not being one. Not saying right now whether Droll will or will not be good enough to be played like 2 months from now, but saying that Droll tends to be stronger earlier in the format than later.
@@David-hw9si The thing about Droll, even though playing around it lets you get to an endboard in Snake-Eye and Yubel, playing around Droll makes the rest of your plays way more susceptible to other hand traps and turns Engraver and Tractus into hard bricks. By the time you can pivot into using your stuff that dies to Droll after your 1st search (if they end up not having Droll), you've probably already committed to a play that isn't as good as what you could have done not playing around Droll. Also some hands regardless of people deckbuilding around Droll still just lose to it. Also beats like 80% of non-meta decks so it's a good main deck choice. I think if Snake-Eye gets hit (like Wanted to 1 for example) Droll will become even stronger, it started seeing significantly more play in OCG once Yubel was seeing prominence over Snake-Eye.

As much as I floodgates like skill drain. It's one of the only cards you can side going first or second to counter shifter decks. The card feels extra problematic since Snake Eye can just get rid of it whenever they want and Yubel has a cheesey card that reflects damage. I personally dislike cards like Deck Lockdown or Power filter more, floodgates that just straight up prevent you from doing things.
