Flying your drone over those hikers is a law that is prohibited to do; especially over the guy standing 8:27 of your video. The reason why the law prohibits flying a drone over people are for legitimate safety concerns. The reason for this is that drones can pose safety risks to other hikers visiting the area, especially in mountainous terrain where visibility and control can be challenging, just as seen in your video. Including the fact that the noise and presence of drones can distract hikers, potentially leading to accidents or falls, especially on narrow or uneven trails, just like it's seen at 8:27 of your video. It's also easy to lose control of the drone causing the drone to crash into people, which can result in injuries. Then you also violated the individual(s) right to privacy, you invaded the privacy of those hikers, which can result in making them feel uncomfortable or even unsafe. People go hiking up there to get in touch with nature and to find their mojo, and adhere to safety rules and laws, and you came along disrespecting all boundaries, even if it wasn't your intentions to do so. You're lucky that when you had "lost your drone" it did not cause injury to another hiker. This was so not cool, and very irresponsible. Huron peak does in fact explicitly prohibits the use of drones in the area, and for good reasons. Regulatory compliance is put in place in national parks (such as Huron peak) and have regulations that restrict drone use to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all visitors. Prior to flying your drone in a Colorado national forest, you can get the most recent updates on the laws that are currently in place. Here are a few to contact. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Colorado Parks and Wildlife, or Colorado Flight Standards District Office. All phone numbers and websites are searchable on the net. Stay safe, and most importantly, keep other hikers and wildlife safe!
Leave No Trace. Your sweatshirt wasn't stolen. It was considered trash and packed out. You don't need a cellular signal to use your phone's gps antenna. Mapping apps should work fine without cell service.
My Google maps would not work. Or my strava. Dang. Wish they did. And someone shouldn't assume it's trash they should leave it for me to grab on my way down. I would never do that to someone else's stuff
Why would anyone assume it was left on purpose. Wear a pack big enough for all your stuff. Learn the rules of hiking in the mountains. You’re the reason all the folks who pay the high taxes to live in CO hate tourists.

Some people need to get a freaking grip. This video was great. Were there some lessons learned? Obviously. It's hard to create an interesting video when you're solo on a mountain, but you did it. As for your sweatshirt -- very possibly drug off by a marmot or some other critter. Wow that's hilarious. This mountain has a lot of sketchy weather I guess. Theree was a Facebook comment similar to yours about Huron as well lol thanks for watching. Glad you liked it. Yeah the 14ers page is crazy omg lol

You lack any respect for the mountains. I hope i dont have to read your obituary soon, but wont be terribly surprised when i do.
Flying the drone right over the top of the folks on the trail was super tacky and likely illegal since it was beyond visual line of sight.
