Chest voice, probably not, I've tried it, and it hurts, I hit the notes but I'm pretty sure I end up mixing it with head without fulling going to head voice. It just depends on your range and when your register shift is needed
I mean, I as a Male, prefer this key, which is odd, because guys usually take pieces down 4 semi-tones for tenors, but I usually take it up a full semi-tone, IDK, I guess that's just my inner baritone trying to say "No, you aren't a tenor"
