Deerfest takes place between September 15-18. The events of Alan Wake take place on the year of the 68th annual Deerfest. One of Deerfest's traditions is to have candles lit in the church every night in September until Deerfest ends.
The main event of Deerfest occurs at the "Bright Falls Southwest Fields".
Alan Wake 2 is set across three Pacific Northwest locations: Bright Falls, the nearby fishing/logging city of Watery, and the fenced-off Cauldron Lake.
