Wait you're in an endorsement with pearl but went back to your cobras...
Is it just that you fell better playing them because you "know" the pedal better simply for the reason that you've been playing them for a longer time than your redline eliminator or what's the reason for that?
Very helpful video tho keep up the great work man 👍👍
i try to learn from your RUclips videos because i dont have money to become a member..hope someday you will give chances to join your academy for free..thank you for your videos..♥️♥️♥️

Not many people emphasize foot technique when talking drums, but it is so important!
Yes
The foot actually is the most important part part because that’s where the rhythm is coming from if your foot rhythm is off everything is else is going to sound off as well
It’s so fucking frustrating man.
Metalheads do lol
I've progressed exponentially since watching your videos over the years. You've been a great Teacher Sir! I thank you. Happy Drumming!

English sound better
Funny seeing these people make fun of a multilingual person's English when they themselves only know English. And probably not as well as they think.
@@shhs1227 I speak English and fluent Polish. Try better next time 😉
I honestly rate everything you do! Another helpful and great video, well done! Can't wait for the next

Congratulations, man!
You look like you've been working really hard for this. The emails, the website, the sponsorships! This is an amazing step on your drummer career!
CHEERS!
Thanks so much for the kind words!
The minute and half of shit that came before the actual content speaks for itself. Tha thas to be a new record for me since 2006.Never seen soembody waffle on so much about crap before content before. 364.000 suckers watch this shit. I dont
I have been struggling with my kick foot especially with doubles. It felt hopeless, I just could'nt do it. The slide technique made all the difference! Like I can lock into it now. Thank you!
Best RUclips drum teacher by far. This video gave me the breakthrough I needed to complete a song. I realized the slow double kicks in the song needed to be Muller and the fast one needed to be heel up twitching fast. That's just what worked for me. A better drummer would probably only need one technique. Thanks
Check out michi held.. he does great ones also
@@YouFeudTV Thank you so much. Great tutorials! Never saw that guy before
My 12 yr old daughter is a beginner and started watching u and she is definitely progressing faster. She's a huge fan of I Prevail and I think that helps with ur videos. Thanks dude 🤘
Thanks for this Drum lesson. This is really useful information🥁💪
Thank you for sharing the slide technique! This is more comfortable than heel up/down.
DBO thanks for this extremely helpful video. Our drummer can sometimes struggle with playing his bass drum especially double or triple beats. He has major joint issues with his ankle due to having a club foot. He had his tendons stretched when he was younger which leaves him with no flexibility in his ankle joint whatsoever. So he's having to use his full leg to play his bass. After watching this video last night he has been working on the slide technique you have mentioned this seems easier for him. Hopefully he can work with this.
Thanks DBO
So glad to hear that this can help!
Yoooo I been waiting for this keep up the good work man😀
Nice! I wasn't aware of the DBO academy. I'll have to check that out. Also, kudos for doing a video about foot technique. I'm a technique nerd, so I eat this stuff up. 😁
I think you'll REALLY enjoy it over there! And you are very welcome!
The sliding technique is really helpful especially because I've been lifting my foot off the pedal to hit two successive notes. Thanks a lot!
Tus vídeos son una obra de arte. Muchas gracias
This was super helpful! I've been trying to find the best foot technique to improve my double bass playing fast
brother you are incredible thank you very much for the explanation❤
Your course help me so much in grooving , timing, holding sticks. Thanks DBO

That's amazing! I'm so glad to hear that. Keep up the great work!
Indepth addressing of all points I wanted to know about! Thank you!
Lol. I started using the slide Technique a few years ago. As it was suggested to me. Very glad I did. It improved my doubles, as well as my foot speed dramatically. Before that, I was having some problems, with the timing of my double beats. And also tiring my leg out faster in the process. Leg, and foot stretching exercises are also a plus, when it comes to developing better Techniques.
thank you its very helpful to me.
you taught me how to double kick, thanks!!
Video was very useful! Thank you!
loved this video!
Love the way you explain

I think keeping feet and hands in rhythm and align will definitely help make some really awesome beats and coordination in general! Awesome work!

Greeting drummer from Indonesian
Thanks you ☺️
Very good information to improve on
Thanks a bunch Gabe! Back to the throne it is. My biggest downfall is my single kick doubles and consistency
Love to do it and practice, unfortunately, I don't have a drum set, and I practice drumming every monday afternoon due to our instrument class.🙂
By the way, this will surely help me! Thank you for making this tutorial!🥰
Just get a bass pedal and set it up against something , u don't need drum
Thank you.
Great video and info. Do you have anything on How to properly hold your sticks and variations / Thank you
Thanks
I actually just heel toe technique for double notes. I'm going to try the slide though. Probably going to feel very weird.since I'm used to heel toe.
i found that slide is a lot easier, especially integrated within a beat. heel toe is great for quick quads, triplets, or long double runs....but i know a lot of people who do double strokes for long runs with both heel toe and/or slide, depending on the part
Thank u

How do you record your bass drum? I'm have a slim chance of studio work in the future. I was wondering if the bass drums is miced on the batter side if the small bounces and un intentional hits would be terribly audible? I noticed that the mics dont pick up any of that in your case.
thanks
4:46 - I go barefoot most of the time so I have the freedom to use my big toe that wearing shoes restricts the flow. This allows the same thing to be played - double kicking but with a different method involved.
Thanks for that tutorial
My pleasure!
For practicing double bass, should i do double taps on both feet?
Nicee drum drum drum
I have a problem with my double bass pedal .. it feels like I'm not getting proper rebound from the beater. But the left pedal works just fine, it's almost easier to just use the left slave pedal the the main. I've checked to see if it's getting hung up on something but I can't find a thing. It's a DW 9000 but changed the direct drive shaft for the trick 5.0.. but I don't see how that would be an issue since it's the main pedal which doesn't move the drive shaft anyways. The only other thing I could possibly think of is the DW 9000 beaters have these little memory locks that use a super small allen wrench.. asking for help here made me think that if that piece is loose when I'm hitting the bass it could give that feel of something clinking down there.
Great stuff bro!
🙏🏽🙏🏽
Nice drum drum
Great
What mics do you use for your bass drum? Do you have a video on what you use to mic your whole kit? I’m wanting to record at home but have a rather large kit (4 toms total, snare, bass drum, aux snare, and 8 cymbals.) I’ve seen how expensive good mics can be but my problem would be finding a decent audio interface with enough xlr hook ups. Most with 8 channels are 500$ plus
Gotta comment before I even watch the video cause I know it’s gonna be amazing!
You are the real hero here
nice drum drum
I bury my beater when I’m playing rock and slower metal and I don’t bury my beater when I’m playing jazz and lighter stuff
I feel that!
Does the pedal make a difference ? Cuz I'm using a crap pedal now and it squeks a lot, it's kinda loose too and I'll be getting another one only later, and I can't seem to get the sliding tenchique pat down. The pedal has a bad rebound and I can't seem to play with it. Is that supposed to happen when you start learning the sliding technique or do I need a change of pedal first ?
Hey Gabe brother
Can you do some series like study the greats by Austin Burcham
This would be great
I find slide technique more natural than the heel to toe. Thanks for the vid.
Nice drum drum drum
Thnx sir😘😘😘"

Lmfao my guy got the Nyah’s on 💪🔥
Jesus dude! Great advice brother!
interesting, since a lot of folks describe the slide as first tapping mid pedal, and then sliding straight up towards beater. i get pretty good action just flat footed as well.
U are always good
So you not use an eq patch to protect your bass drum? What's you opinion on them? Also your drum work on the last I Prevail album was SUPERB!!
Your a super drummer
Yo amazing ur inspirimg me
That's an interesting technique (the sliding one), thanks, I haven't come across it before. One question: do you ever play with the heel down? I do, sometimes, depending on the situation, especially when I'm not ‘burying’ the beater. For letting the beater rebound, I find playing with the heel down gives me more control. Maybe I should say I find it easier to control. Anyway, thank you for your informative, entertaining and educational videos. I've been playing for over 40 years, but there's always something new to learn, always something to improve. 🍻
The slide technique has been so helpful for me to get those quick notes in! Personally, the only time my heel comes down is when I'm trying let the kick breathe a bit like I described in the video. but even then, my resting position is with my heel up! Hope that helps!
you have some cool beaters
Those nyjah 2’s? Best skate shoe out rn, perfect for drumming too.
yo i clicked the thumbnail like damn he really be using the nyjah 2s for drumming they great skate shoes too
I’m a beginner skater what shoes would you recommend? The nyjah 2s?
If you can afford them as easily as something like vans yeah they last so much longer, they give better ankle support and heel protection, and they look better IMO
Unless u drum barefoot
you are great !! missed the kit giveaway though.....lol
