I had that cream and the one good thing about it was it helped my cooking burn. On my face.eew hated it but it helped me from getting a scar from my burn and I scar easily and keloid.
I've also noticed it had done wonders for my sinuses and allergies, the royal jelly comes from bee hives and only the queen bee eats it and because the worker bees make it from pollen it works as a natural antibiotics against allergies
Throughout my pregnancy 10 years ago I was slathering my body in olive oil in hope to prevent stretch marks, hmmmm didn’t work. I wish I tried coconut oil, but what’s done is done. 10 years later my skin had faded a lot, barely visible now :)
Wow! I'm going to start calling you Doctor Professor. You taught me so much about bees. Fascinating. Would you one day talk about nail fungus? Thank you. Loved this video.
I really appreciated your thorough explanation of why propolis can be problematic. When you said, "all things that are natural are not safe and/or effective," I reminded myself that poison ivy is also all natural.
I bought Egyptian Magic a couple of years ago when Costco used to sell it. I didn't care for it all and it went bad/ rancid fairly quickly. Maybe because of the olive oil? I so appreciate how you delve into each of the ingredients and talk about the good and the bad. Thanks for another great and informative review!
I used Egyptian Magic years ago. I still remember the quote on the jar "Life gives to the giver and takes from the taker" and I loooooooved that! LOL Anyway, forgot about that product until I saw this video. I have acne prone skin (prone to cystic acne) and it never aggravated my skin, which I found miraculous since so much seems to break me out. It was great to use during Accutane treatment. Would love to hear your professional opinion on baobab oil, which is now my newest obsession. lol
I'm going to start Accutane pretty soon. I did Accutane 15 years ago, when I was 14 years old. I did have v.dry skin etc..but other than that I was fine. Mentally, I think I was ok. But now I'm 30, and life is different. I have a baby and prone to feeling down quite a lot. Did you have any mental side effects? That's what I'm most scared of. I don't want to become super depressed especially as I'm alone with a child.

This was a fantastic review, Dr. Dray. You put so much thought into the information you reported and did so much research. We are so fortunate to have your reviews and detailed research to turn to when we have questions.
loveofwonder coconut oil and cocoa butter are comedogenic and a no go. I reccomend marula oil for the hair bot the face. i love mango butter i take retinoids and when my skin is really dry i use that. Shea butter is better when my skin is normal its less likely to clog my skin. Argan oil doesnt moisturize enough for me , avocado is also for when my skin is dryer.
Thanks for the Video clip! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you considered - Aoneyton Aristocratic Authority (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing one off product for improving your penis size minus the normal expense. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my mate at very last got great success with it.

This is currently in the papers in the uk claiming it’s a ‘miracle’ cream that’s been kept a secret lol. Who do I immediately look for to see if they’ve reviewed it?! Dr dray! Font of knowledge! Thank you
Thank you for the review! I just bought this from Costco. A big 4 oz jar plus the small one you have for about $25. It will last me a long time, and I like that I can refill the small jar to take in my purse. I like it for the under eye area and for lips as a balm. For some reason I like thick creams under my eyes, Vaseline type, because I always feel that area dry with regular creams. This smooths nicer than Vaseline and keeps my undereye area feeling greasy like I like it lol and makes my lips soft. I would purchase this again even just for the lips. It's cheaper than lip balm and nicer.
Have you done a review on Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream? I watched another Dermatologist’s review on it and he said it’s very popular in your industry for it’s multiple uses.
Tried this months ago after considering it for a long time. Gave me red itchy rash spots on face and neck. I think maybe all the bee derived products may be the cause. I am not bee sting allergic but this cream gave me a lot of red splotches, that were bumpy and itchy. I experience no other allergic response. Itchy spots went away after I discontinued use.
I stumbled upon your channel When I was looking up information on differin. I was very surprised to find out that you were an actual dermatologist. I’ve always had a great respect for doctors I wanted to be one at one point in my life .I kind of gave up on that because I didn’t feel I could lead by example . You have your medical degree so I’m sure you have plenty of resources to get The help that you need.
Hello 👋🏽I need some opinion on ‘DermaRolling’ if you don’t mind ..was wondering if there’s any truth on this new beauty regimen everyone seems to be trying. Breaking the skin doesn’t seem right to me as a collagen producer.
Wow, I didn't know that about olive oil! I'd heard it was antibacterial but never thought to look into how it affects yeast. I'm also really glad you talked about the fragrance connection with bee products since I was looking for something scent-free due to my MCAS. Thanks for making this video!
I have heard dr dray comment about drunk elephant before. She seemed to think it is very overpriced with no better efficacy than the cheaper products she recommends. But it would be cool to see if she felt if made any difference to her skin as many people do rave about it!
Yay! Olive oil lecture again. I was waiting for it. I remember your info from another video about olive oil. Argan oil too does not work good for me. It actually dries my hair out when I use it on my hair. Thanks for the detailed information. Your videos are fantastic.
Oils are sealants so they aren’t supposed to hydrate or moisturise you hair they are too seal in all ready existing moisture that you would receive from a hair cream / leave in conditioner
Hello, I have bee and wasp allergy. You said at 15m 38sec that it might not be very good idea to use bee products if you have allergic reaction to bee and wasp stunt. However i do not have any problems using products which contain propolis, pollen, royal jelly, honey & etc. So it is not always the case of being affected by bee products if you have allergic reaction from a bee or wasp stunt. :)
My BF had horrific seborrheic dermatitis for 15 years.. he went to multiple dermatologists and tried every OTC dandruff shampoo and high potency steroids for many weeks at a time... nothing worked... then by chance i bought the Sachajuan scalp shampoo with European active ingredients and it worked after one month.. No more flakes since. It's a miracle.
Thank you so much for your review. I’ve been using the “Egyptian Magic” for the corners of my mouth. They get so sore and actually develop tears. I was hoping it would help but I guess I’ll stop because I’m allergic to bee stings! It wasn’t helping much, anyway. 🤪
I had this random itch patch on my skin for a few weeks and nothing helped, not even the stuff that normally works (tea tree oil, neosporin etc). I had a jar of egyptian magic for months that I never used so I tried it last night, itching stopped instantly. Hasn't come back yet.
Thank you for all the info you provide in your videos! Many of us appreciate it! My sisters and I were talking and we all agreed that you have such a nice natural jawline!!
Outstanding video! I've never heard of this product but based on your very thorough review, I will be staying away from it because my skin is very sensitive.
I love all your videos Dr Dray. I'm glad I watched this one. I have had issues for years and what you are describing it sounds like I definitely have seborrheic dermatitis on my forehead and ears especially. I am also allergic to bees so this is a product I should stay away from. I remember using olive oil under my eyes and I noticed they were dryer than usual the next day so it makes sense when you say olive oil isn't very moisturizing and depletes water.
If you pay attention to the video you will hear her say its the BEE PROPOLIS that has been an ancient remedey in Egypt!! It had been found in tombs etc..so obviously the creators of this cream decided to name it Egyptian Magic because of the ingredient history. I see nothing wrong or odd about that. Lol. Enjoy
Thanks for the detail on each ingredient, it's so interesting and helpful. Since bee propolis has similarities to fragrance, it's definitely a no go for me with my fragrance allergy. My allergies have saved me money yet once again, lol. I can't help but feel sorry for the poor bees though!
Its extremely mild on “fragrance” - it smells slightly like beeswax. If you have ever smelled a fragrance free natural beeswax candle… there is a scent - but again, it’s extremely mild.
I've been waiting since covid started for a dermatologists to call me and help me. They call me every so often to remind me they aren't back in office yet but can't spare 5 minutes to help me find products to help my horrible hormonal cystic acne. Thanks for your help
I'm confused regarding how a product with an occlusive like beeswax could provide anything more than a cosmetic effect. Don't occlusive ingredients impede the absorption of the presumed actives? Also, if you're so moved, I hope that at some point you'll address how bee venom and snail mucin are "collected."
no; i did discuss how the snail mucin is collected in my asian skin care Q&A...i have no clue how bee venom is collected but it does not belong in skin care, period
I love your videos however I think you are being too strict mentioning all the possible adverse reactions that might occur in less than 1 person per thousand. You review many products and I haven't seen you mentioning all the possible reactions in every product as you did for this one. Otherwise you would literally stop putting anything into your face because everyone can have many allergies to every single ingredient, proved. This one has 6 ingredients, imagine the other ones you review that have +20 ingredients. I think we need to be proportional.
"Guess who did it? The bees!" I literally lol-ed. Fantastic informative video. Could you talk about facial oils and how to best use them? Rosehip, argan and tea tree oil seems to be getting into lots of products. Thanks!
Such a tiny pot lol Burning the last of the Vanilla Citrus candle ready and waiting for my new Banana Nut Bread Jackpot candle to come in the mail!!! You should hang out by your mailbox too hee hee ANYWAY, It comes with a piece of jewelry so just ignore that part... costume jewelry you’d never wear but I literally burn that candle and sip coffee and the smell makes me smile and lifts my mood! It’s crazy! Enjoy!
So glad u brought up allergies to bees. I carry an epipen because I’m allergic to a bee sting and had a reaction to a supplement with propolis and royal jelly. So I stay far far away from anything bee.
Stumbled on this video because this nearly summer I had so many mosquito bites... And I can't resist to scratch.... aaand here it goes so many dark spots on my leg and hands.. Too bad I am a human not a dalmatian, so I can't be cute with this condition... Any ideas how to get rid of scar pigmentation?
Thanks for the informative video Doc! 😊 Now I know to steer clear of products containing propolis and some of that other stuff. I'm one of those special people that gets to carry an epi pen and flee/ flail wildly when I see a bee/ stinging insect. Love the content, keep it coming! ❤️❤️❤️
I once used this beeswax face cream, and I got such a bad rash that my mom had to get me some topical steroids. I don’t know if it was the beeswax that irritated me, but I have gotten bad rashes from products that contain beeswax. I try to stay away from beeswax based products. It seem like a lot of people love it though!
Im surpised how everyone saying how much they love this cream. And I've not noticed any dif apart from skin looking oily as it's very greasy. It's just like Vaseline wouldn't wear everyday. It also sticks on to your skin had to wash off few times in order to get it all off face. And the price itself is pricey it's nothing magical about it..
Dr. Gray I love you and your channel. I wish you were in Sacramento because I would definitely be a client. You have such a sweet spirit. Thank you for continually to bring us education. I love everything that has to do with bettering our skin and wish I would have gone to school for dermatology after high school instead of getting married. But anyways thank you for being an inspiration to us all.
Personally not a fan. I found another product made from a beefarm minus the olive oil and it was very nourishing to my skin. It cost more than this but my skin stayed to dewey for weeks after use! Srry can't remember the name!
oh no, i use olive oil exclusively as a body moisturiser. time to search for an actual moisturiser that i like, i guess. lol the egyptian magic cream retails for 35 aud, which is around 29 usd for the travel size; it was even pricier years ago when i first got interested in it. like another viewer mentioned, i'd be really interested in your thoughts on bee venom. thank you!
Doctor dray i dont trust anyone elses reviews on skin care. most of them are just sponsored and you have kept it 100 since the beginning, saved me so much money and made things so much simpler. I did adapoline and i got good results but i recently decided to start retin a .can i continue my adapoline on my nights off from retin a or is that too much?
Thank you so much! There is not reason to continue them together, though some like to alterante them in the beggining since adapalene is less irritating
When you do a comprehensive review, Doc, you knock it out of the park! Shortly before I started watching you, I'd bought a large jar of the EM. Though it didn't bother me, I preferred my CeraVe. What do you think about on feet under socks as a mask of sorts since it's got antifungal properties? I don't want to just 'waste' my jar but other than perhaps on hands under gloves when washing dishes or somesuch. i'm at a loss. Thoughts? Thanks! Blessings! Jackie in NY state
Thanks for the great info! I got a small sample of that in a "Just for Redheads " subscription box a few months ago but never tried it. Maybe I'll crack it open and give a try 😀
Is these useful for minimize appearence of pores, scars on cheeks...can I get glowing face by using this cream....in how many weeks I get result ? And how to use for best result for minimize pores ,scars
I recently jumped on the ban wagon of bustello omg I am hooked! I've tried it the cuban way with sugar froth and today with steamed milk omg so delish has anyone tried the pilon brand was wondering what the difference is.
tfrazee1 I'm a Cuban from Miami!!!!!!!!Bustello is stronger and more bitter, when made in a expresso maker Pilon is a bit less strong which makes it less bitter in expresso form.I enjoy both 😊 The original Cuban way is Pilon.Hope I helped.
I am latina .... Pilon is less bitter and acidic, Cafe La Llave (green bag) is also best when using a cafetera (mokka pot - spelling some one help me out? 😁) Bustelo is best when used with a colador an old school method that looks like a sock. It filters that bitter taste. Also a little lemon rind in a Bustelo shot will smooth it out.
I imagine you have many professional responsibilities, I can only hope that one is lecture. You ability to present information is exceptional!!
I have been using Egyptian Magic for years, but not on a daily basis. I buy it from Costco, and as I was checking out the cashier said it was the best moisturizer in the store. I came here because it's on sale at Costco now! A 4 oz + 1 oz + .25 oz for $20, expires 1/31/21.

Minu Thomas yes she does the BEST
Not only would they have to take lessons, but they would also have to get full on degrees and doctorates.
So it’s main action isn’t moisturizing the skin but rather anti septic; anti inflammatory properties and gives our skin nicely perceived glow 🧐

You can do that with a good moisturizer. You can't really say it helped you from getting a scar because you can't know that you'd have gotten a scar.
I've also noticed it had done wonders for my sinuses and allergies, the royal jelly comes from bee hives and only the queen bee eats it and because the worker bees make it from pollen it works as a natural antibiotics against allergies

The important takeaway from this for me is that olive oil doesn’t prevent TEWL. No wonder it didn’t work well for slugging.

It had been found in tombs etc..so obviously the creators of this cream decided to name it Egyptian Magic because of the ingredient history. I see nothing wrong or odd about that. Lol. Enjoy
Sweet Dreams lol
Say ancient Egyptians
The real ones. Not you coverts
Thanks for the detail on each ingredient, it's so interesting and helpful. Since bee propolis has similarities to fragrance, it's definitely a no go for me with my fragrance allergy. My allergies have saved me money yet once again, lol. I can't help but feel sorry for the poor bees though!
They are such fascinating creatures
Its extremely mild on “fragrance” - it smells slightly like beeswax. If you have ever smelled a fragrance free natural beeswax candle… there is a scent - but again, it’s extremely mild.
@@leahjones9626 My allergies don’t care lol.
I would love a video on what can be used for stretch marks to help fade them at home
Thanks!
lol! avoid these
i discusse tea tree oil in a seperate video though (description box)
Very interesting about all the ingredients. Talking about olive oil not being moisturizing, are all oils not moisturizing or are there some that are?
pretty much, especially on their own...i explain in my "how to moisturize the body" Q&A
Ok thank you I’ll watch that video.
It’s crazy! Enjoy!
As always, I learn so much from your videos! Thanks
thanks for watching
So glad u brought up allergies to bees. I carry an epipen because I’m allergic to a bee sting and had a reaction to a supplement with propolis and royal jelly. So I stay far far away from anything bee.
Can you make a video for hair laser .. specially on face and chin.. pros and cons?
Thank you! Great detail. I have used this when my skin is truly dry and it seams to help nicely.
Now I know to steer clear of products containing propolis and some of that other stuff. I'm one of those special people that gets to carry an epi pen and flee/ flail wildly when I see a bee/ stinging insect.
Love the content, keep it coming!
❤️❤️❤️
yeah can "bee" problematic for sure
I love your reviews and analysis of ingredients!! Thanks for doing this! Can you do a review of the rodan and fields line?
Wow ur skin is so flawless. Ur subscriber from india, kolkata
Thanks so much!
Dr Dray my pleasure dear. Thanx for replying

Dr. Gray I love you and your channel. I wish you were in Sacramento because I would definitely be a client. You have such a sweet spirit. Thank you for continually to bring us education. I love everything that has to do with bettering our skin and wish I would have gone to school for dermatology after high school instead of getting married. But anyways thank you for being an inspiration to us all.
it s never too late to go back :)
How curious because I'm Egyptian and have never heard of this cream😂
Fascinating! I love your reviews, even when I'm not necessarily interested in the product, I feel like I learn a ton that is so interesting/useful.
Do you know anything about the jade roller and if jade stone really improves skin elasticity and purify the skin? Is it worth the money?
that is a huge gimmick and i would encourage you to avoid it
It would be cool if you actually covered gimmicky products and how they don't work in a video!
Personally not a fan. I found another product made from a beefarm minus the olive oil and it was very nourishing to my skin. It cost more than this but my skin stayed to dewey for weeks after use! Srry can't remember the name!
You have a video for literally everything, thank you!!! :D
oh no, i use olive oil exclusively as a body moisturiser. time to search for an actual moisturiser that i like, i guess. lol the egyptian magic cream retails for 35 aud, which is around 29 usd for the travel size; it was even pricier years ago when i first got interested in it. like another viewer mentioned, i'd be really interested in your thoughts on bee venom. thank you!
So do i have to use a moisturiser on top of this?
This is the ONLY product that helps my friend’s Eczema prone skin. She swears by it!,
Doctor dray i dont trust anyone elses reviews on skin care. most of them are just sponsored and you have kept it 100 since the beginning, saved me so much money and made things so much simpler.
Thoughts? Thanks! Blessings! Jackie in NY state
it might help there :)
Just use it on your legs and body once out of the shower and still wet. Or, use as lip balm.
She sounds like Sara Palin with a brain
If only you where an instructor. Thank you so much I love all of your videos.
Thank you so much!
I am assuming Egyptian Magic Cream isn't best for slugging then, correct?
Can you give us a lesson on snail mucin?
I love you Miss Doc ! You’re so SMART ! But, explain things perfectly 💕. Thanks Dear 😃
Would you be able to review Paula’s Choice?? 😉
We have a cat named Simon. We call him Totoro because he looks like Totoro.
how cute!
Thanks for the great info! I got a small sample of that in a "Just for Redheads " subscription box a few months ago but never tried it. Maybe I'll crack it open and give a try 😀
a little goes a long way
Can you also do a video talking about fascia and how it affects our skin? Is fascia just a fad going on right now?
I'm from UK mother of 5 19-42 olive oil I only ever used for cradle cap ..like our ancestors have .pretty good for that
Thanks for the run down on the ingredients and the buzzzzz in the bees...Queen bee...me time lol!🐝buzzzz !! Have a wonderful week:)

Thank you. So appreciate your knowledge, time and expertise!!!

Shea butter and then olive oil consume honey lemon juice and herbal tea
I have literally been so interested in this Cream, but I wasn't going to purchase until you did a video on it, and then here it is. Thanks :)
hope it helps you decide :)
Jackie Lila thank you so much for your reply!I will be picking up some pilon for sure!!
cuban coffee is awesome!
Jackie Lila Hi Jackie! I used to live in Aventura. Miss my cortadito, I am so lazy. Keep enjoying the beach, sun and coffee - I am so jealous.
