Have probably a stupid question, but no better place to ask-I've been living vicariously through these dream build videos but this is like the third one (seen it on other folks' builds) where it appears as though the rear brakes are activated by the left lever, not the right (13:04). Have I had too many beers or is this a thing? My whole life the rear brake has been on the RIGHT...
No torque wrench for the stem on the carbon fork + carbon handle bar ? No grease on the thru axels ? Holding the wheel by the disk with greasy gloves ? What?
@@averymarkow3815 pro cycling teams will often sell their race bikes at the end of a race season to recoup the costs of a long season. Leaving some additional steerer gives any future potential buyers the option to raise/lower their stem height if required rather than being restricted to running slammed set up.
@@ukpkmkk_2 that´s the answer if u wanna go lower...in my case i always have problems in the back after a while so i usualy want to rise the bar..they still cut a big part
@@leopozzo09 oh.. Now i get what you meant.. Yeah it's actually safer to leave a chunk of the steerer for later adjustments. But doing so you sacrifice the beauty and Aerodynamics of the bike.. For me i'd use a stem with a higher angle to raise the bars instead of leaving an ugly pole in my face the whole time.
@@ukpkmkk_2 lol...the part of the ugly pole up to your face got me laughing...yeah the stem whith a positive angle seems to be the way to go if u dont wanna sacrifice the looks...now i get it...the bike is reaaly beatiful
I have a question, why 98% of dream build Videos include SRAM as the groupset and not Shimano or Campagnolo?? And never something high end for a frame like S-Works.
Can I chime in with some criticism of the mechanic and his procedures? Just joking, I'm not a fucking know it all asshole. Love these videos, thank you.
Nice build but two issues. Why did you leave 2 spacers on top of the stem? That looks ugly! The second is that this particular frame is not that good looking.
This bike was really easy to assemble ruclips.net/user/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.
the steerer plug that guy uses is way to short when he leaves that much steerer above the stem. Could be dangerous when clamping the unsupported carbon under that plug..

I found lots of bike lovers from India , I'm a bike lover too , from India
MAN I ALWAYS LOVE THESE VIDEOS
@Taahir Abdullah bhai Kahan Hoga yeh bol de 🚴
@Taahir Abdullah filhaal Andhra Pradesh mein huin
that half turn spin test of crank
shows quite shit bearing alignment in the bb of the frame probs down to cheap carbon manufacture
Relaxation therapy. Great video. Looking forward to seeing the guys criticising below posting videos of their own faultless builds!
Vitus isn’t the sexiest brand in the world, but something about the way this is shot. Just gotta love the process that leads up to new bike day
I'm gonna cry for a month. If I got a bike like this
I am not much of a roadie, but as we say in Northern California..."That's hella tight!"
🤣🤣
Señoras y señores, Vitus ha vuelto.
Awesome. Beautiful colour, beautiful bike.
Thanks for another road bike video. Would be great if you could have some Shimano Di2 or Campagnolo EPS content. Thanks again for your efforts.
Found this incredibly therapeutic ha 👏🏻
Fast and voracious on the lines. Great job.
Beautiful bike. Well done
Awesome videos.
But without bleeding the brakes... they seem a little incomplete.
Thank you anyways!!!!
Thumbs up, ofc!!!
Beautiful as always sir
love all your builds bro, especially this one... wish i would have one like this
I loved my Vitus Vitesse until it died in a crash. Adding SRAM Red AXS will only make a superb bike even better.
u r the best at this stuff

In the UK the rear brake is activated by the left lever. I know, we are a weird bunch :)
That’s a good looking bike....nice one 👌
Fun fact: ”Hell yeah!” in Finnish is ”Totta vitus!”
Haa...those crank smoothness??? call Hambini please...😁
We all know how he feels about SRAM
Don't even start buddy. Hahaha
Is it only cause 30 mm spinle?
@@carlos.5290 GXP is just trash due to the way they preload their bearings
It barely spun. Also, he greased the bottom bracket before insertion. This was absolutely horrible.
Well... Those crank don't spin at all. Obviously, bb will start to creak very soon. Amazing quality.
It spun ok before he tightened up the bearings.
Dream build road bike layout t-shirt!!! Nice video
Low pressure, spongy tire, thumbs, set the bead, both sides. Talc helps.
Nice bike 🙂👍🏻👍🏻
Another dream build 😍
No torque wrench for the stem on the carbon fork + carbon handle bar ?
No grease on the thru axels ?
Holding the wheel by the disk with greasy gloves ?
What?
Glad I'm not the only one...
and put the cassette and wheel on to the bike before testing etap smh
"My hand knows the torque"
Most importantly, expander plug not long enough.
Ivan Ivanov I thought it was just me, that plug would not even have supported the top of the stem with the spacers above. Unreal.
I wish i had a bike like that
-from Philippines🇵🇭
Hi trops
Torque wrench ?
Built into Josh's hands :)
Excellent job guys!
One question - could you give us the details of the saddle please?
Thanks!
Build a roadbike with mechanical groupset please
Can't help but chuckle at seeing Shimano pedals on an otherwise Sram build
Por fin alguien que le deja los 3 espaciadores👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼...otros le cortan al ras y le ponen en la madre a la tijera....
Very good👍
Eres un Dios armando estás máquinas! Lo que se de mecánica te lo debo, gracias!
Dont worry i'm your fan to and subscriber
The prime primavera handlebars are shaped pretty exactly like ControlTech Cougar Carbon. Weird.
Is this wheel prime black edition?
Great vidéo Nice job
Parabéns... manja muito,👏👏👏👏👏
Why cut the steering tube but then have lots of spacers on top? Thought the idea for that was so you would avoid this.
@Gabriel Miqueias isn't a bike of this caliber a special order thing though?

Nice job but I want to ask something constructive.Shouldn’t the inside of the steerer tube have been deburred?Nice work though.Beautiful colour.👍🏻
Hope there will be a dreambuild TT bike

what read grease do you use for the headsetbearingsheadtop connection?
Nice beatifull
Can anibody tell me wich Bartape he used ?
shimano Di2 build pls?
And the camera man was like, "could we repeat that? there's a better angle for that"
i dont understand why they always cut the direction tube/pipe?...there are no options left to change the position later
That's why they add spacers underneath.. If you want the handlebars lower you simply move spacers to the top.

Hay brother try the dream build of Hercules roadeo Hannibal
Bianchi build??
does anyone use Prime components? I would like to buy a stem and an handlebar
The wheels aren't bad at all! Really put mine though alot of shit never had a problem.
The uncut excess of steerer above the stem looks ugly.
The BB only rotates 1 turn, it looks really stiff, that is not good!
Can i have one of those?
