    Plenty of grinding and start over- hopefully the paper doesn’t get burned up too much
    Good luck

    Wow...that sucks. My guess is they used blue vapour barrier tape to make a corner beed?? Looking forward to seeing you repair this mess.

      It looked like a metal corner/cap that might go on the end of a tile run. Or it could be an inside corner paper bead that was put on backwards as an outside corner bead. I'll find out when I get at it in a week or so.

      I'll be getting at it in a week or so after I finish up another job. I'm trying not to think about it until I get there lol

    They put on inside corner beads instead of outside lol

    You have a lot of work ahead of you to turn that job around I've had my share of those types of jobs but never an entire house

      Not something I would normally jump on but the homeowners really need some help with this one and since I can I will.

      Haha we did something like this and Omg my hands hurt with the amount of sanding we had to do, and still it doesn’t look Perfect.. LOL

    Mesh tape with regular mud.. how are you going to help fix that?

    • @Mudslingr
      @Mudslingr  2 года назад

      I will sand it all down to the mesh then I will re-tape it with paper tape. Everything will be a butt joint in the end unfortunately for me.

      @@Mudslingr Would Fiber Fuse work over the mesh? never tried it but im thinking it may save some work seeing its thinner than the paper. Just a thought.

      @@curtwehrmeyer124 You have a good point. I just may try that. I do use the 36" wide rolls but never have tried the taping sized rolls. I'll see what it looks like after I grind it down first.

      @@Mudslingr They have the traditional size and 6in im sure you know. Ive used the 6in in situations kinda like yours. I laid it down feathered out the edges and the next day one down the middle and man what a life save. Good luck and look forward to the updates. Im shooting knock down the rest of the week.

    The good thing is that when you're done with this job you will be a rich man, i hope, lol. Do us a favor and make a video of the finished product. I've fixed messes like that, but never quite that many sheets. What blows my mind is that some asshole went there and did all that work knowing damn well that they had no idea what they were doing.

    • @Mudslingr
      @Mudslingr  2 года назад +2

      Lol. It is about two and a half times the work now. My price will reflect that for sure. My heart will probably reflect it better. I will definitely be making vids on this one. This is about my 25th full house repair. I would prefer a small washroom too. lol I understand everyone needs to learn but this person should have had an experienced person to work with.

      @@Mudslingr , absolutely! My father wouldn't let me out of closets for at least a year, and I'm not even talking about walk ins, lol. Took me forever to even graduate to the garage, lol. But, it was all for a reason.
