- I captured this historic moment at MSG on 1-25-2020 when Jon Bon Jovi came on stage at Billy Joel's concert and performed Joel's hits "Still Rock & Roll To Me" and "Big Shot". The sound there was electrifying and even though I was able to capture this on my phone, the real experience is being there live in person. I just loved it!

If I had been in that audience and died afterwards..I would have at least died a happy woman. I'm a rocker chick from the 80s hair bands. But I have been lucky enough to see Billy and then Billy and Elton in concert many times

WOW, how cool is that to have 2 rock & roll legends sharing the stage together! Sure wish I would have been there to see it! Can't wait to see Billy at Comerica Park in Detroit in july!
It seems pretty common for him to have guests on stage at MSG. That would be the place to see him since you can never predict who he could bring up to sing with him!

Thanks for sharing. I am a big JBJ fan and have seen him here in munich last summer. In this video his voice sounds much better than in his concert. I love it.
He was able to put all he has in 2 songs. Big difference with having to do a 2 hour concert. Unfortunately.

Pierre B def due to the lower key, he just can’t keep up with the tempo in his older songs now let alone they key. It’s sad but part of life....but in saying that Billy Joel and Elton John still sound amazing, although haven’t rocked & screamed non stop to the degree Bon Jovi has

well, it's a fact that Jon feels more confident in the stage when he's not playing his own songs
Maybe it's because all these covers aren't as high-pitched as his own songs and he doesn't have to struggle so much to hit the notes.
This type of songs fit his current voice very well. Sounds good!
Actually it's not hard to notice that these days he still sounds quite (relatively) well singing in lower keys, so it's no surprise he's better doing covers than BJ songs. And that also results in his confidence on stage.
It’s because people can’t expect him to sound the same as he did 30 years ago on other people’s songs like his own songs

Making special shows, duets and singing tracks below his vocal limits would be the best way for his later years. You can see here relaxed and not suffering when he performs his biggest hits on tour. On the other hand I think that overacting with those boxing-Jagger-Elvis moves are unnecesary.
