Albert Lee i met him 30 years ago in camberley in surrey at one of his meet and greets, he was a lovely kind gentle human being then, as he is now, comments on his slowing down are a bit unkind, he has adapted his style to his age 78 yrs old , we all do, listening to this song country boy now shows me his amazing ability is still the same as it ever was. Love this man i respect him hugely, and long may he continue playing guitar, entertaining everyone and playing the music he clearly loves so much. Andy. Scotland.
I totally agree. Actually, going to see him this coming Sunday again. He's aged, sure, but nobody leaves his show feeling like they didn't just see some absolutely amazing guitar playing. He still delivers, and I love watching him play, and listening to him tell his stories.
Truly stunning from a guitar legend who's almost 80 years old (78) in this video. --> I'd love to see today's 'guitarists' attempt this song at age 78......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Albert is still pickin' great, sad to see him slowing down though. He's one of my all time favorite players and always will be, but I agree.... this band didn't help matters. Albert has earned his place in the history of great guitar players ❤️🙏
Saw him live about a month ago. I'd never sen or heard of him before then, but I have to say that he was a hell of a lot better when I saw him live then he is here. My guess is that he wasn't warmed up yet? The whole band was much tighter when I saw them.
Sounds to me like this group of musicians didn’t do their homework and did a poor job backing this incredible guitar legend. Sad indeed, and showed lack of respect for Albert Lee,
Yes, the snappiness from the older live recordings has faded, but we all get older, and age is rarely to our advantage when it comes to speed. That's just life. He still seems to enjoy playing, and that's great.

Albert is one amazing musician. That said, the older he gets, the slower this song is played. In five years, it's going to be a ballad.

Nothing wrong with the backing band , Albert is in his late 70s he’s still great just slowed down a little. We all do

Sounds like the musicians backing this incredible guitarist and Legend weren’t prepared, which is a real shame and disrespect to Albert Lee!
Yeah I saw him recently in Pittsburgh and he really struggled it’s sad. He missed more notes than he got right. Very hard to see him struggle so much.
I don't think he slowed down intentionally ! must have been suffered by some injuries or so ~
You can hear the timing is really off , and the drummer is all over the place..
He's having a hard time hitting the high notes!
