    On a similar tool, I painted yellow enamel on the 12/2 section and white enamel on the 14/2. It makes it more obvious and prevents damaging 12/2 by accidentally using the 14/2 slot.

    So glad to see your video on this invaluable tool. There are a few videos on RUclips that state “Pros don’t use this tool.” I call BS on this! I have several of these from Klein and Southwire and they are great tools. As a matter of fact, I used them just today and used all the functions you described except cutting the screws. I have also worked with some master electricians and they have them in their tool pouches. Great video. Keep up the good work!

    Yup. Never ceases to amaze me how tools can do more than one job, especially power tools. When I worked in the city fleet, one job I had was called "upfitting" which was adding automotive electrical devices. Of course that meant running wire. Many times it involved different wire sizes and grouping them together. I found out I could stack smaller gauge wires on their rolls at a vice that had a long screwdriver in its jaws and the rolls of wire held by the screwdriver. Then came the cordless drill, the ends of the wires were in it's jaws and me allowing the drill to slowly turn the wires making a nice tight harness.

    If you get the wider lineman style you can pre twist wires together before putting a wirenut on. Works nicely to twist wire on rebar and fences. You can use them in a pinch to get bolts out.

    Not 8 thirty second...#8, 32 threads per inch....

  • @aaron74
    @aaron74 Год назад +2

    6-32 and 8-32 are not 6/32 and 8/32 fractions. It means a No. 6 or No. 8 machine screw, and each have 32 threads per inch. When talking about it you say "six thirty-two". The small number is the scale used for machine threaded body sizes smaller than a 1/4" in the ANSI/ASME system. Those pliers kick ass... I just got a pair a few months ago. I can't believe it took this many years before a sheath-stripping tool was made, and then even longer before I bought one.
