I'm in the high desert foothills and was in the evacuation zone for the Bridge Fire which burned uncomfortably close. Today, the whole Eastern horizon was a pall of smoke from this flare-up. Hopefully tomorrow they run an aggressive series of Phoschek drops. I watched them do this on a heavily forested North facing steep slope above my property. Despite gusty winds those days, this seemed to help prevent it from becoming a crown fire. Now that it's out, we can see clearly that many of the trees on this slope are still standing.
The firefighters they don’t do anything to control the fires …they don’t have properly equipment and they are poor training…sometimes they provoke the fire
Those "Back Fires" the firemen lights themselves seem to cause as much damage as the original fire. If they really wanted to stop these fires they should first ban the too big government employees unions. And privatize everything. ( Oh and don't forget to cut real fire breaks in the winter and bring back logging in the forests).
The firefighting agencies have done an extraordinary job of structure protection with the Line Fire. In all the time it has burned, only one home was lost and four buildings were damaged,

I was wondering how that fire was going. Sad
The fact that no preventative measure were made why isn’t our tax dollars going to a sprinkling system or something this is scary

Exactly they made more damage and the firefighters they don’t know how to control them !!Happen every single year…and all year they’re heroes
There is logging in the forest and which forest are you referring to the state forests or the National forests?
Everyone praises them as heroes but they aren't. They are overpaid and they don't fight fire aggressively anymore @RomePama
