I put on a full face every day! Yes, even during the pandemic. It's for me and I feel better afterwards. No one wants to see what I look like straight out of bed! 😳 Weather permitting, I'm outside several times a day walking my dog so I do run into neighbors. I love the Shiseido blush but they stopped carrying my favorite shade, Momoko. 😔 I would not be able to do without foundation, blush or mascara and oh yes, something on my lips with some color! Let's be honest, I simply couldn't do without everything! I spritz on some fragrance as well! 🤪
That blush is INSANE 😱😱😱, it's beautiful and HIGHLY PIGMENTED 😍😍😍, it looks so beautifully natural on the skin, and would last forever, this was a beautiful no makeup makeup look, I bet a natural bronzer with a slight glow placed higher and instead of blush would look beautiful as well, great video 💞💞💞
Good for your honesty. I would use mascara and a little eye lines and moisturizer and sun screen and a lip balm. I'm not going anywhere but I do feel with a little makeup on. I put it on for me I could care less what other people think. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE the Maybelline Lifter glosses. I have 3 - Moon, Petal and Ruby. Honestly, they are better than a lip balm to use throughout the day. I think of them as a lip treatment...lol...when used alone. I'm not a full on gloss person, because I don't like a shiny, wet look, and lets face it - that type of finish comes off quickly. But these are fantastic to slip on when you want a moist look without lipstick and liner. My lips look better since I started using it. I do not use it on top of anything.
Cervue Hydrating cleanser, Paulas choice BHA and AHA, Vanicream Moisturizer - then tinted sunscreen (currently Roth posey - but looking for an alternative) , eye brow pencil, Mac's ochre on my eyelids, nars concealer over dark lines, Very light application of a light foundation , top of blush, coloured lip to go. Usually add eyeliner but am ok without it. That;s my must and always do- to get out the door look or stay all day at home and feel 'worth it". Great idea for a vid!
Thank you Gemma for your many informative videos, over the past year my skin has changed dramatically. As a guy who knew NOTHING about skin care I first bought CeraVe lotion and a £1 SPF30 from Poundland, then added Intense Q10/Hyaluronic Acid Serum from Lidl £2.99, Vitamin C Serum £2.99 and a Retinol cream for night time £3.99 from Home Bargains and it all works for me. Men's skincare on a budget LOL.
Wow the one-thing i can't do without wearing ever ! is mascara. I never wore spf only if I was sunbathing so I've learned to use it daily now. Thank you Xx
Brilliant! Thank you so much. A daily look, yes! Lovely. Hope you renew this daily look (video) as you find what you like. This for me would be helpful either seasonal or whatever changes like red skin, extra dry skin, improved products. Loved this!
HI Jemma! I really enjoyed ur video today. Very practical and fun. I've been watching u for ages and just luv ur spirit and energy. Thank you for all of ur wonderful makeup and skincare advice for our age group. U have inspired me to start my own RUclips channel which is very new. Please remain safe and healthy. Loads of luv. G
My most minimal makeup is summer or holiday makeup which is tinted moisturiser-Bare minerals with spf is lovely-but thinking about trying Trinny BFF next time-a little mineral powder over the top , a bit of bronzer (if needed) , concealer (if needed) , lip gloss, if ive dyed my eyelashes and eyebrows i might brush them through and just leave them at that. Thats my minimum unless i'm going to the beach in which case SPF, sunglasses and lipgloss.
I have that blush. You are so right. It is very Beautiful on the skin, we just need a little bit of cream... just a little. And at night we still can see the blush. When I have possibilities I would like to purchase other colors from the same range. They are very beautiful. 😀👍🏻 Hummm... I am very interested in this correcting pencil from Laura Mercie. For me Gemma it definitely Mascara and Brows and some sort of lip product. And I definitely need all my skin care especially Pixi +C vit Brightening Perfector and La Roche Posay 50+ Anti shine Anthelios XL Tinted dry touch gel cream
Hi Gemma, We’ve had over 6” of rain and it’s coming up in the basement....so I’m with you with fans running, the sump pump running, using the ShopVac on the carpet, and on and on. Isn’t it fun!? Loved seeing these must haves for a basic day at home. Makes you feel good about yourself when you walk past a mirror (but I still put on a bit of mascara). Good luck with your water problem!
I loved this look, still looked pretty and done, I was surprised you left out mascara and your brows!😄 but I pretty much do the same as what you did, only thing I do differently is I’ll use a brighter lip, I really think it’s the blusher that lifts it all and makes me look put together, I have had people say I look younger without eye make up too😃 I would deffo rather go without mascara over blusher👌💛
We had a slab leak and I loaded myself with every great moisturizer I could find - since the dehumidifiers are gold to ensure no mold. Also - hint - doin't trust insurance company pricing.... go over a few times. They took money away for anything my husband and I did (we did a bunch of demo to get the destroyed stuff out of the house- but would have paid a general contractor lots of money.) BEST to you!
I also love the city block and no one ever talks about it. I also find it slightly too yellow and a bit too dewy, but mixed with Australian Gold original which I find too drying - perfect spf!
I was so happy to see a Clinique City Block in the video! It reminded me that years ago I had the Sheer City Block, I think it was called that, and it was SPF 25. It was also tinted, somewhat oily-ish, but it did not bother me because I have dry skin as well. I used it under foundation. I regularly check the Clinique US website and somehow, sadly, this product is not in the spotlight... But I will look to see if I can purchase it, you brought back good memories, it was a "feel good" product to me, yet I almost forgot about it!
I personally love the Australian gold mineral spf with tint. Makes my skin look amazing and doubles as a skin tint in summer. Might have to try the clinique one when I run out of tge Australian gold SPF50
Thank you for this gorgeous and helpful video Gemma. I've been using your links as I build a "Gemma Collection" from what catches my eye on your videos. Ooh and last week plucked up the courage to do the eye lash lift and it worked out really well with the help from your video. Im so glad you did it as it gave me the push I needed and your instruction was A LOT better than the leaflet provided. Wolf pack hugs 🙂
Lovely natural look. I’ve order the Lanolips. Presently I use the Bobbi Brown extra lip tint but it’s so expensive here for a small amount so I’ll give this a go. Thank you!
My workplace flooded and we were dealing with the dehumidifiers & fans. It was horrible! I couldnt live without my Hourglass Ambient lighting blush! I love it so much.
So enjoyed this! I'm so sorry about the leak under your house, holy moly what a pain! I also could live without mascara, but not eyeliner lol. Just love your personality
So long as I have concealer and blush I'm happy. Like you, my everyday makeup is definitely a low key affair and mascara just isn't a necessity for me (it also makes the evening cleanse much easier if I don't wear it 😂). 💞💗💞💗💞
Great video. Non negotiable - might miss 1 or 2 days a year- is my basic skincare. Cleanse, vit c, niacinamide, moisturiser AND SPF 50++++ ALWAYS! Absolute basic makeup is either a light touch of bb or cc cream (Missha or byTerry) or Laura Gellar bake and brighten compact powder, this powder is so easy and so blurring, great price, lasts ages, a quick light lick of mascara and a lip gloss of some sort.
I wasn’t a fan of the City Block because the tint was so yellow. If I was exercising and my face was sweating my sweat was yellow! My favourite tinted mineral spf which comes in 4 shades (I think) is the Australian Gold Botanicals. It’s perfect for oily/combo skin but may be a bit drying for those with dry skin.
After my skin care, if I do nothing else, I must use corrector for under my eyes, blush and something on my dry lips. I can forego mascara if I have a little bit of eye liner.
Hi Gemma in the current situation I'm not wearing any makeup at all most days, but I do use skincare every day. I wear a little makeup to go get groceries - just because it's the only day I go anywhere at all. Essentials are a gentle cleanser, hydrating toner, the cosrx snail and niacinamide dual chamber essence, a hydrating serum, an azelaic acid serum, eyecream, moisturiser and an spf. I switch out the products not specified depending on how my skin is, or what I want to use that day. i have at least two or three of each on the go and rotate depending if I need more calming or if my skin feels even drier than usual. I have rosacea and eczema, so i've never worn makeup just to be in my house all day. I only ever wore makeup when I was going somewhere/anywhere lol and sadly I don't go anywhere currently. A lot of the time I wear pyjamas/comfy clothes all day - no makeup needed tbh. i know a lot of people wear makeup everyday and good for them, but I don't bother for just in the house. Once we're allowed out again I'll enjoy putting makeup on to go somewhere or anywhere really. Best wishes. ps I do tint my brows and lashes regularly so despite being blonde they are visible.
Girl, I’ve been so minimal but still try to look ok everyday so it’s cleanse, moisturizer, light coating of foundation to even out, blush & light dusting of powder to refine. Im so bad about my spf. I know........ Ughhhh Work in progress still....
Great video :-) Thank you! First of all, I am so jealous for that sunscreen! Inkey list has a similar one with a tint. I wish they make it is shades! That would be two flies and one stone situation :-) Moisturiser, SPF (face, neck, mouth, hands), mascara and natural colour lipstick or balm. I would like to have found a good tinted moisturiser and include it in the list. Well, not yet! Love that blush! Have to try LM Translucent Powder. Just had a look online, it seems good for a shiny skin :-)
Was so glad to see the use of tinted sunscreen as that would work with powder & blush. I have to have the mascara especially since we are wearing masks and eyes are the only thing people can see. Thanks 😊
I wish I knew as much about makeup/skincare as you do. I have no idea what suits me or even what shades to try/use. Keeping everything crossed for the makeup counters to open up again so I can find a suitable foundation. Thank you for sharing too. I'm nearly 44 and don't use any regular skincare, any tips for a newbie on where best to start please 🙏
I used the Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Duo Concealer and the results were terrible: it creases and clings to my skin like nothing else (even when I applied a small amount and used the warmth of my fingers)! I still need to find a way to make it work, I will take your advice! Thank you again Gemma for this video, bring on many others please!!
Oh my goodness, a major water leak during a pandemic.🙄 Bless you, Gemma.❤️ I will grab a hydrating concealer to apply over one of the sunscreens that leaves a slight white cast. This is so I don't scare my husband or anyone dropping off packages. 😂😂 Non negotiable product? Brow pencil, as my brows are sparse and a very light shade.
Hey!! 150k Gemma!!! Absolutely awesome! Onwards to the 200k now. To be honest you should have millions by now, i think they are shy. Great video. My morning routine and cant do withouts is definitely my Vit C, moisturizer and spf then its foundation, concealer, bit of eye liner and mascara, bronzer, blush and lippie..lol. Being retired means I have the time lol. There are actually a few more items in the skincare section I use but I couldnt do without the Vitamin C. Take care and stay safe xx
The first product mist is next to impossible to get in Canada 😩I stopped washing my face in the morning just a slash of water! Good to see what u are using🦋🌸
There are three make up products which stop me looking like a corpse, mascara, brow pencil and blusher. My lashes and brows are literally invisible and I’m extremely pale. Without any of those products I’m continually told I look ill! Goes without saying SPF 50 is also mandatory for me and I like the Australian Gold one. I might give the Clinique a go on duller days, it looks good.
Such a pretty no make up makeup! Was convinced NYK brows was the last item. I have to have mascara & under eye concealer. Heaven forbid I leave the house without 🤯
Love your channel ❤️ I have the shishedo blush in another collor (01 was out of stock where I bought it) and I absolutely love it, Mine is the shade 06 also very pretty I think. Love how you stamp it, will try that tomorrow ☺️ where on earth is the NYX microblade pencil 😂😂 I just bought myself one last week an I see what you mean girl!!! All the best from Iceland where COVID-19 situation is probably the best now in whole Europe 🙏🙏🙏 but the earth is trembling and preparing the next volcanic eruption 😱
@@julianursten6399 The Volcanic eruption just started 😱 But no worries my lovely new friends, everything is save here in Iceland and there are no people in danger or anything like that. And also not likely that this will effect the flight traffic in Europe like last time 🙈😂😂
Gemma, another fab video. Got a question......if that Clinique spf is slightly yellow in tone would it be good for redness in fair pinky toned skin? Here’s to some warmer weather to dry your house out 🤗
You look lovely as always. Thanks for another great video. You're just too adorable! 😉 I do have a question if you get a chance. Where do you buy that Clinique super city block? I can't even locate it on the Clinique site. Thanks and have a wonderful day and big congratulations on 150k subscribers!!!
Thank you Joy. I’m not sure if you can get the same version in the US. The nearest is the City Block in orange but it has slightly different ingredients xxx
Joy - sadly, it was discontinued last year (in Canada, at least). I’m devastated and furious. There was NOTHING wrong with the product and it was one of their best sellers! 🤯
Great video! Wondering which concealer u love more, this one by Laura Mercier or the Pat McGrath? I have quite a bit of dark hollowness under my eyes. Thank u for helping me out here with your expertise! ❤️
I don’t wear makeup daily at the moment because I’m only going on my daily walks so my skincare products I can’t live without are my aveeno body moisturizer which I use twice a day and would be truly lost without and my jack black lip balm with spf that keeps my lips protected no matter the wind and the rain i also wear spf and face moisturizer daily, don’t worry Gemma ;) I just don’t have any that I’m extremely attached to at the moment
Besides my SPF, my "one I cannot live without" to save my easily dry, cracked lips, is Lansinoh lanolin, it's actually a nipple ointment but it's pure, no scent no flavour lanolin. I get migraines so anything I put on my lips has to be super basic. I've even melted leftover lipsticks with this and put them in empty tubes and made tinted versions. Love love love
Hi Jemma I really loved this video! It showed me i really dont need so much products on My face in the morning. But no mascara huhhh NO it is with the tinted moisterizer the most importante product haha and you Made me laugh all the time. Really loved loved it!!! 😂😊👍
I can’t look at myself without my eyebrows on so I do that first - max factor do an excellent fibre gel. Then Milk sunshine skin tint and a cream blush. Probably Bobbi brown Uber beige. 😍
I LOVE this video! I am a makeup minimalist for the most part. I really enjoy hearing about your essentials for a minimal look. I would love more 'pandemic' casual looks as well. Do you know of a ByTerry concealer dupe? Is it really worth the 45$? I know it's a subjective question. Just wondering if it's an unusual formula or something. I would also love to see your favorite cruelty free products. Love your channel so much!! 👑🧡💛💚💙💜👑

Oh my goodness, a major water leak during a pandemic.🙄 Bless you, Gemma.❤️ I will grab a hydrating concealer to apply over one of the sunscreens that leaves a slight white cast. This is so I don't scare my husband or anyone dropping off packages. 😂😂
Non negotiable product?
Love ,love Clinique spf ,have used it for years ,don’t use anything else !
Loved this - great video thanks.
Oh dear. I hope you stay safe
@@julianursten6399 The Volcanic eruption just started 😱 But no worries my lovely new friends, everything is save here in Iceland and there are no people in danger or anything like that. And also not likely that this will effect the flight traffic in Europe like last time 🙈😂😂
@@thorbjorgsveinsdottir8564 I’m so glad that you are okay!
@@julianursten6399 💕💕💕
Thanks Gemma a great video as always. Personally I can't leave the house without mascara and a bit of gloss. 😃
Hi Gemma! I think Clinique discontinued that City Block SPF40 unfortunately... love this kind of video, thank you!
It's still available in the UK ....... I've just literally added it to my ever growing Boots order
Not available in Australia - no on website
Gemma, another fab video. Got a question......if that Clinique spf is slightly yellow in tone would it be good for redness in fair pinky toned skin? Here’s to some warmer weather to dry your house out 🤗
I don’t think Clinique sells that exact City Block anymore, at least here in the States. They have a different one, which is much thicker.
Have you tired ultrasun tinted face 50? I am a skin twin. Honey is too dark but I think Ivory is good.
Oh my god, lemonade! Gonna have to check the lipbalms out ♡
You look lovely as always.
@@cstewart3759 thanks so much for letting me know.
Great video! Wondering which concealer u love more, this one by Laura Mercier or the Pat McGrath? I have quite a bit of dark hollowness under my eyes. Thank u for helping me out here with your expertise! ❤️
That is just great fir stay at home days.
I don’t wear makeup daily at the moment because I’m only going on my daily walks so my skincare products I can’t live without are my aveeno body moisturizer which I use twice a day and would be truly lost without and my jack black lip balm with spf that keeps my lips protected no matter the wind and the rain
i also wear spf and face moisturizer daily, don’t worry Gemma ;) I just don’t have any that I’m extremely attached to at the moment
My 'non-negotiables' are tinted SPF, under-eye concealer/brightener, brow gel, blush and lipstick.
Very clever lady!
Thank you for some brilliant tips xx
More videos like this Gemma. Love you.x
Yes! The lanolips 🍋 is devine .
Can you put the CLINIQUE CITY BLOCK ON UNDER IT CC CREAM , CAN YOU ALSO WEAR IT ON YOUR EYELIDS? Thanks!
Hi Jemma I really loved this video! It showed me i really dont need so much products on My face in the morning. But no mascara huhhh NO it is with the tinted moisterizer the most importante product haha and you Made me laugh all the time. Really loved loved it!!! 😂😊👍
Omg soo sorry you all went through that slab leak 🙏💪
Can’t get the Clinique tinted city block, only the sheer in the US 🙁
Thanks Gemma 💟☮️
Oh my goodness I need that byTerry concealer...
I love your videos! I don't see the product links that you usually post on your videos.
I’ll look for a dupe for you xxx
Omg - stressful! At least it wasn't sewage, at least I hope not. I've been looking for a fast minimalist look that I can add to later in the day, I'm always late! 👍💖
Loved this video! Maybe silly but I'm a dirty blonde and so "my can't live without must first and foremost be mascara. I don't leave my rooms for coffee without skin care and mascara.
Omg - hope you did not have too much waterdamage.
Do you also use the Niod mist on top of your sunscreen?
