just saw the local tv news story about you coming to this spot and the history of the restaurant. Seems they had a fire that destroyed the place and had to rebuild it and just recently reopened. The owner is from Naples and him and his family put everything into this place to make it great. Keep up the great work Dave and promoting great places like this!

You need to move where there is a large Italian population. I am in Toronto, we are blessed.
Ever tried making one yourself? Once you get into it you can make really good quality with minimal equipment.
Spoiled even. My neighborhood pizzeria, 2 blocks away, got a 8.5 from Portnoy and we only get pizza twice a month.

If that edge hadn't flopped down and looked soggy, it would have been an 8.1. I had really high hopes until the middle gave out.

yep...messy, flop.....ever notice that Scott mentions flop sometimes, and other times totally ignores it? I think he ignores it when he wants to give a good score. Sally's , his stated all time fave, looks floppy af when you see vidoes.

I need to take leave and go back home, i miss the pizza. No where else where you can get anything like CT pizza. I grew up throughout the state and there was pizza joints everywhere, one of the best pizzas ive had is from either from tommy's pizza in meriden, la vita gutos in east haddam, or da vincis in moodus, in windsor theres giovannis, which is really good too me my younger brother and my dad went in there all the tike when i was a wee tot. I really love CT pizza man, gimmie a slice!

There's a place in Waterbury that we used to eat every Friday night for dinner when we were just kids. It's called Dominic's and Vinnie's. I think you might like it a lot. If you find yourself in Waterbury, maybe try that one. It's on Wolcott Rd. I think it's great but it's been so long since I've eaten there. I'd love to hear what you think of it.
I feel ya, brother! 20 years in Savannah GA, and I've learned that *IN GENERAL YOU HATERS* , the South makes pizza about as well as the North cooks chicken. IYKYK.

Geez, I sure wish someone from that area would come open up a New Haven style pizza place in the middle of Louisiana, they'd make an absolute mint, barely any competition in the slightest, if not at all.
Grew up in Mystic. It was impossible to eat a bad pizza anywhere around there-Mystic, Stonington, Old Lyme, Groton. Now I live in beautiful Denver. Pizza isn't great here. But I guess it all evens out. The weather is a million times better and I doubt Connecticut has a decent burrito smothered in green chile.
