I was feeling pretty bad a while ago and found that the best way to snap myself out of it (if only for a little while) was to do something for myself like go for a run outside, take a bath, or spend time with God/journaling! He gives me peace. Now to remember that when I feel like crap will be another story!
ausernameofsorts I love this! And yes sometimes it's so hard to pick ourselves up out of our mess...but then I sit back and remember that Jesus already did that for me! I don't have to try to be in a good mood if I'm not feelin it. I can rest knowing that imperfect me, is loved perfectly by God.

So funny....I was at Walmart tonight and I bought myself flowers. As I was leaving, the security guard said as he was checking my receipt, "so is it a break up or a make up?" Gesturing towards the flowers. And I said to him sometimes you gotta treat yourself and that they were for my desk to have something pretty to look at. He looked kinda surprised lol
I love the idea of talking to someone and just talking about life. You really get to express your thoughts with someone with the one on one. And it's a good feeling knowing they're listening to you
These are good tips! I love your vids, Cambria Joy! Two things I do when I'm looking to do a little self-care: 1) Set my Nike Run app for one mile and see how fast I can run it. This is great for a quick burst of stress management when I don't have enough time to go for a leisurely walk, and it can be followed by a fast hot-cold shower, which is always refreshing! 2) Sit in "my corner" for a bit. Over time, I have created a little spot in my desk area where I hang things that remind me of special events and people. Certificates I've earned, my running bibs from 5ks, special notes from students, motivational quotes, etc. When I feel down, I look at it and remember that if I've done good things once, I can always do them again. I feel very rich when I look at that corner and it lifts my spirits. :)
About almost a year ago I found your channel. I was researching about bulimia because I was having some problems with it and I stumbled upon one of your older videos about you over coming your binge eating. I started following you and you became an inspiration to me. I haven't been keeping up lately because I've been busy, but your videos really help me through each day. You inspire me to stay positive and really think about what matters in life. I can get so overwhelmed with body image and doing all these different diets, but you always put things into perspective. I also love going outside, it clears my mind and works my body. If I have a bad day I also call my mom and talk to her, write to try to figure things out, or eat plenty of fruits and veggies, especially things high in vitamins.

I've been feeling so stressed these last couple of weeks, not having enough sleep and a super busy schedule. It's been fun and all, but I just really feel like I need to relax, and get some time for ME. The tips in your video was so helpful, and now I really feel like I know what I want, you know. I want to take care of myself. Eat healthy, not to look good, but to feel good. Exercise, not to look good, but to feel good. I really love writing lists of things I love. My French teacher made us do this as a homework assignment when we studied Le Petit Prince. We didn't have to share but we all saw that our lists were full of things that are not tangible. They were moments, ideas, thoughts,nature, etc. Now I have a notebook full of things I love! I don't share it with anyone but if I am really stressed (The night before the SATs) or sad (when my grandfather passed) I will sit for an hour or so, listen to some peaceful music just reading, thinking and adding to the list.

To really love myself I do a few things. 1. I workout. This is a pretty obvious one, but I feel all of the stress and self doubt falling off of me when I workout. 2. I purposely give myself a ton of time to get ready. I'll start getting ready earlier than I need to so I can do my makeup to the nines and pick out the perfect outfit. Something about having that me-time really benefits my day and makes me 100x happier. 3. I spend time with friends. Going out on adventures with really good friends makes the world of a difference in my mood. Friends get you out of your head and focused on the good in your life. Friends are truly a blessing. who the hell has time for this. I don't mean to sound rude but with the stress of school, homework,exams, my job, extra circulars and a perfectionist attitude, I really never have time for baking nice things for myself & reading for fun. ughhh
Kerstin A I agree, it's not always easy to make time for ourselves! A few months ago, I was dying to read a book for fun, but in the middle of the school year, i didn't think it was possible. Then I realized how much time I waste on the computer! If this is a problem for you, try eliminating social media from your routine for a few days. It's amazing how much faster you'll finish homework. then you can condense all of the 5 million times you checked facebook for 3 minutes into a solid chunk of reading time!
Kerstin A True, but even just 10 minutes can help you relax. Stretch for 10 minutes, that really helps me. Or read on the toilet, no kidding. Things like exercising, reading, or eating a fancy meal can take only 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how much time you have to sacrifice. And that's the point, it IS a sacrifice especially during finals, but try to squeeze in time in early mornings or night times. I find morning times are best for me. Every body is different.
You see thet is the real problem. Of course you have time. I study in the school. If you leave 15 minutes you can read, take a bath or go for the walk. And leave baking for weekend...
I like painting my nails when I need a pick me up. It helps my outward appearance which in turn helps boost my confidence, gives me time to breath and think, and I love color so it makes me happy
I never go a day without watching a video of yours! What makes me happy - I honestly had a list of things I do in order to do as a "pick me up" and the number one thing I do is drive. I get in my car, turn on my spotify playlist and just drive, I go down back roads with the windows down and sing my heart out or I stop and just watch the sunset, it's relaxing and over all puts me in a healthier, happier mindset!

I find that meditation or (like you said) just going for walks really helps clear your mind. I also LOVE just sitting in the little chapel they have at my school and just basking in the love and the presence of The Lord. It makes me feel 100% better to know there is someone greater than me who will always be there when I stumble. It's very comforting.
When I feel off or if I'm having a bad day I love to send people encouraging texts/messages. Something about thinking positive things and sending positive messages to people really boosts my positivity and my energy relaxes. :)

Cleaning your space, YES! I cannot concentrate if my room is a mess. I need to have it clean, or at least my bed. My room is very often messy but lately I'm trying to keep it clean. I just love it when my room is clean.

Too really pick myself up when I'm sad or having a bad day I first make sure I'm clean, taking a shower makes me feel alot better, then I make sure I moisturise and wash my face and all that stuff so I will be ready for the next day. I really love painting and art so if I need to relax I paint, it makes me forget about the world for a while and just focus on the paint, colours and brushstrokes. But sometimes when life is extra sad and dull I like to sit down and appreciate what I actually have 💜 your video made me feel better about myself today because today was not such a great day, thank you 💞
Cooking, photography, face masks , showering, writing down my worries in a diary, baths, traveling makes me very happy, taking walks outside, eating fresh fruit, hanging out with some loving friends, drinking coffee, blogging, reading, picking flowers, taking time for myself doing things like shopping for clothes and trying new products or a new style, drinking tea, listening to the ocean, listening to music that makes me feel positive about myself, collecting sea shells, feeling the sand on my feet, warm weather, watering plants like succulents and cactuses and jade, looking at palm trees, swimming, sleeping, thinking about life in the future, appreciating who I am & yeah :)
I like to take bubble baths and to spend time with the people that inspire me. I can definitely attest to the belief that you become the people that you surround yourself with, so I love to go out and enjoy life with people I want to be like because I feel happier, fresher, and with a new sense of purpose after spending time with them.

Taking a nice long bath or just simply pampering myself with either a face mask, hair mask or just something that'll make me feel more clean and refreshed helps me feel allot better. And even watching these type of motivating videos help me feel better even if I've seen those videos more than once.

I literally screamed "CAMBRIA" when I saw your video in my feed (not exaggerating). What's even better is that I really needed to hear this. Cambria you inspire me to become a better person with every single one of your videos and I can't thank you enough for that. This is also not the first one of your videos I've added to my favorites haha 😉 Now to answer your question, I also love going on walks especially when I'm at school and I feel really anxious. I'll just take a walk around the campus, breathe a little, and come back feeling slightly refreshed. It really does help. Also, when I'm not in the best of moods, I like to listen to music (that always calms me) or if I'm really feeling stressed or anxious (I have anxiety disorder so I do feel anxious quite often) I'll meditate for about a half hour. I feel like a whole new person afterwards. I don't do it as often as I should but some nights I'll read scriptures from the Bible and that also helps calm me and reassure me that I am not in control, God is. And that I should not worry cause he's got my back no matter what.💕 Thank you for everything, Cambria (sorry for the long comment) xo

I always reflect on a bad time by writing about it and finding a solution. That really helps me organize my thoughts and makes me feel so much better

I really love writing lists of things I love. My French teacher made us do this as a homework assignment when we studied Le Petit Prince. We didn't have to share but we all saw that our lists were full of things that are not tangible. They were moments, ideas, thoughts,nature, etc. Now I have a notebook full of things I love! I don't share it with anyone but if I am really stressed (The night before the SATs) or sad (when my grandfather passed) I will sit for an hour or so, listen to some peaceful music just reading, thinking and adding to the list.

To really love myself I do a few things.
1. I workout. This is a pretty obvious one, but I feel all of the stress and self doubt falling off of me when I workout.
2. I purposely give myself a ton of time to get ready. I'll start getting ready earlier than I need to so I can do my makeup to the nines and pick out the perfect outfit. Something about having that me-time really benefits my day and makes me 100x happier.
3. I spend time with friends. Going out on adventures with really good friends makes the world of a difference in my mood. Friends get you out of your head and focused on the good in your life. Friends are truly a blessing.

walking, reading and listening to music are my ways of taking care of myself. If I'm not doing one of those things, I think the people around me would notice that. I think just walking and listening to music, connecting with God is amazing and soul enriching.

Kerstin A I agree, it's not always easy to make time for ourselves! A few months ago, I was dying to read a book for fun, but in the middle of the school year, i didn't think it was possible. Then I realized how much time I waste on the computer! If this is a problem for you, try eliminating social media from your routine for a few days. It's amazing how much faster you'll finish homework. then you can condense all of the 5 million times you checked facebook for 3 minutes into a solid chunk of reading time!
Kerstin A True, but even just 10 minutes can help you relax. Stretch for 10 minutes, that really helps me. Or read on the toilet, no kidding. Things like exercising, reading, or eating a fancy meal can take only 15 minutes to 1 hour, depending on how much time you have to sacrifice. And that's the point, it IS a sacrifice especially during finals, but try to squeeze in time in early mornings or night times. I find morning times are best for me. Every body is different.
You see thet is the real problem. Of course you have time. I study in the school. If you leave 15 minutes you can read, take a bath or go for the walk. And leave baking for weekend...
I like painting my nails when I need a pick me up. It helps my outward appearance which in turn helps boost my confidence, gives me time to breath and think, and I love color so it makes me happy

I never go a day without watching a video of yours! What makes me happy - I honestly had a list of things I do in order to do as a "pick me up" and the number one thing I do is drive. I get in my car, turn on my spotify playlist and just drive, I go down back roads with the windows down and sing my heart out or I stop and just watch the sunset, it's relaxing and over all puts me in a healthier, happier mindset!
You're the person who inspired me to become healthy. You were the first beauty guru that showed us that happiness is more than just looks. Thank you for changing my mind on a healthy lifestyle! ❤️
I find that meditation or (like you said) just going for walks really helps clear your mind. I also LOVE just sitting in the little chapel they have at my school and just basking in the love and the presence of The Lord. It makes me feel 100% better to know there is someone greater than me who will always be there when I stumble. It's very comforting.
When I feel off or if I'm having a bad day I love to send people encouraging texts/messages. Something about thinking positive things and sending positive messages to people really boosts my positivity and my energy relaxes. :)

Cleaning your space, YES! I cannot concentrate if my room is a mess. I need to have it clean, or at least my bed. My room is very often messy but lately I'm trying to keep it clean. I just love it when my room is clean.
This is going to sound really cheesy and stupid but I'm currently at a point where I pretty much lost all of my friends and watching your videos makes me feel like it really doesn't matter because you're so positive, inspirational, and amazing. Too really pick myself up when I'm sad or having a bad day I first make sure I'm clean, taking a shower makes me feel alot better, then I make sure I moisturise and wash my face and all that stuff so I will be ready for the next day. I really love painting and art so if I need to relax I paint, it makes me forget about the world for a while and just focus on the paint, colours and brushstrokes. But sometimes when life is extra sad and dull I like to sit down and appreciate what I actually have 💜 your video made me feel better about myself today because today was not such a great day, thank you 💞
I like to write in my journal when I'm feeling down. I just love writing down my feelings, it really cleanses the soul in my opinion.
Cooking, photography, face masks , showering, writing down my worries in a diary, baths, traveling makes me very happy, taking walks outside, eating fresh fruit, hanging out with some loving friends, drinking coffee, blogging, reading, picking flowers, taking time for myself doing things like shopping for clothes and trying new products or a new style, drinking tea, listening to the ocean, listening to music that makes me feel positive about myself, collecting sea shells, feeling the sand on my feet, warm weather, watering plants like succulents and cactuses and jade, looking at palm trees, swimming, sleeping, thinking about life in the future, appreciating who I am & yeah :)
I also enjoy looking at sunsets😊

I like to take bubble baths and to spend time with the people that inspire me. I can definitely attest to the belief that you become the people that you surround yourself with, so I love to go out and enjoy life with people I want to be like because I feel happier, fresher, and with a new sense of purpose after spending time with them.
When I have a bad day, I sit down with a nice cup of tea and I take a deep breath and think happy thoughts. It may sound cheesy but it always works for me
I love talking to people around me, friends and family, especially when im going through a tough time. It definitely helps! Recently its been getting hard to really open up and be genuinely sincere with my thoughts because everyone around me is going through a rough patch and i cant bear to place any more burden on them then they already have :( I've been reading more often lately which helps and walking//alone time works miracles, there is so much you can learn about yourself that you didnt already know! MAKEUP TUTORIAL FOR THIS LOOK PLEASE. ITS SO PRETTY. When im sad, I find that working out and then putting a face mask on and taking a shower helps to make me feel better. And also making fresh green juice and just drinking that outside in nature. Something about that combo makes me feel better. And of course journaling!

Taking a nice long bath or just simply pampering myself with either a face mask, hair mask or just something that'll make me feel more clean and refreshed helps me feel allot better. And even watching these type of motivating videos help me feel better even if I've seen those videos more than once.
I really want to start having positive conversations with others. I'm so quick to want to talk about others because I sound funny or I can only engage in that kind of communication for long. I've never felt great afterwards just empty. God commands us to not gossip and treats others as ourselves for a reason. Thanks so much for the encouragement Cambria 💜. Lately I have been really sad and depressed and I'm going to say that your videos have helped me through this. Your videos are so encouraging and uplifting and it's awesome to see someone like you that is so brave in your faith and showing it. When I don't feel good or feel like myself i put a smile on my face and I talk to my one of my best friends about everything I am feeling and it just makes me feel better and I always finish my day of with a good talk about whatever we are feeling :)

To take care of myself, I drink tea in a pretty cup, take a shower, and read. I also love taking my kids and our dog for a walk.
I literally screamed "CAMBRIA" when I saw your video in my feed (not exaggerating). What's even better is that I really needed to hear this. Cambria you inspire me to become a better person with every single one of your videos and I can't thank you enough for that. Now to answer your question, I also love going on walks especially when I'm at school and I feel really anxious. I'll just take a walk around the campus, breathe a little, and come back feeling slightly refreshed. It really does help.
Also, when I'm not in the best of moods, I like to listen to music (that always calms me) or if I'm really feeling stressed or anxious (I have anxiety disorder so I do feel anxious quite often) I'll meditate for about a half hour. I feel like a whole new person afterwards.
I don't do it as often as I should but some nights I'll read scriptures from the Bible and that also helps calm me and reassure me that I am not in control, God is. And that I should not worry cause he's got my back no matter what.💕
