Hopefully the coach sues the parents. If the law won't do anything to hold these kids accountable for their actions maybe a lawsuit will get their attention!
Attention parents this is the fear your kids feel daily, the coach was the victim in this case, but when it's the student getting jumped or stomped the schools call the parents to suspend the kids.. How does this happen when you have good parents? I'm so tired of people arguing that parents aren't responsible for what their children do outside of the home. Hell yeah, you are! Your children are a representation of you. They are extended branches from your tree.
If you have not figured out your children are not your friends, not to be negotiated with, not to be given everything they want, not to be easily believed, you are the problem. They SHOULD be made responsible for house chores, school work (read a book if they say they don't have work), the way they treat others, and their actions. If you don't think you need to treat your child this way, go ahead and put that child(ren) in a group home because it's not going to be nice what happens.
IF!!! If my parents saw me running after a teacher, it wouldn't matter what that teacher did to me. I would've gotten a whipping (yes at that age), been punished from outside, the phone, and television. No friends would've been allowed to come over. On my days of suspension, I would've been made to clean closets, clean windows, polish silver, clean chandeliers.... Anything my mom could think of to keep me busy the whole day. There would be no free time. This is ridiculous!
There should be punishments the parents face but, we have to stop telling parents how to discipline their kids. We are not stopping abusers! That's why they are called abusers.
If a good foundation was built at home, those children would've been scared to go after a teacher. Within that foundation you're taught to respect your elders and teachers are included. Wake up folks! Problem child wants a gun...you give it to him. Children say it's SKIP DAY, you're alright with it. They are not to do what everybody else does. Just say NO! If they ask why? You don't have to provide an explanation. Take control! "Because I said so and don't ask me again!"
In the 'long run' (pun intended), he made the right decision to run -it'll help win the lawsuits he'll file against the families & school district. And those are lawsuits he must file ---there may be no payouts for him and/or his lawyer(s), but a message needs to be sent. As for the three --obviously they live in a mob/gang world.....they cannot EVER be allowed back at that campus and need to be separated asap...never to see each other again or they're just gonna do worse no matter how long they're in juvie (or real jail).

I was their age I had times where I didn’t like being told what to do but, like come on. Sadly they most likely don’t have a father figure like the rest of us or a good mother figure like the rest of us. I pity them for such horrible parents who taught them to be thugs.

Parents need to parent better. These kids should be under constant surveillance for the rest of their juvenile existence, including their online interactions, with God's grace at the point they become adults they'll actually be productive members of society. The parents of these juveniles should also be required to go to counseling and parenting classes. If they are not fit to be parents that actually can make a difference and change this violent behavior, then these juveniles need to be placed in a new environment with strict policies for behavior and counseling.
Oh to bad this didn't happen in March they would have sent social workers to talk to the coach about how he can reduce his risk of being attacked by changing his behavior while he is at work.

Parents and the children need to be held accountable for the actions. No slap on the wrist. Let them sit in a detention facility for a few years. Put the parents in jail as well. Maybe just maybe they will learn a lesson.
I heard another audio recording of this event, these kids were born and raised here, their ancestors have been in the U.S. longer than mine, yet they they can barely speak coherent english. You can't teach a group of people that doesn't want to learn.

The Middle school kids is the Worse. In my days they call them Junior high and I was a School Bus 🚌 driver And I would pick up the middle school kids.They had no respect.Cus me out calling me the B word.Took my bus from inside shaking it.Sceaming while I was driving trying to get them to there home safe.I turn the Bus 🚌 around took them back to the School told them they weren't to act like that on my Bus.They soon quiet down all the good kids was yelling at the Bad ones to shut up they wanted me to take them home.And the ones that cuz me out we all ended up in principal office with me saying I was kicking them off my bus and they were never going to ride my bus again .Parents coming in there begging me to let them ride the bus and they started acting right . Eventually I quit the job went to school and got a career I was only like 22 , years old. Middle school kids. There were a lot more good kids. But the ones that aren't their nightmares.

The reason they did what they did was because they wanted to ride there dirt bikes there and the coach said no and then they started beating him up and I was so angry cause then I saw post saying to FREE THE KIDS why should they be free if they started beating up a coach just from him saying no! It boggles my mind how some kids just don't have respect for adults I honestly think the coach should press charges.
