I believe it is Kelly Hansen who took over for Lou when he left in 2003. I just saw them on Sept 2nd. They were good but not the same without Lou. Lou lives about 2 miles from my daughter. There are no original members left in the group who perform full time.
as bella-xp7qd Said, the singer is Kelly Hansen. He was the singer for the 80's band Hurricane. As good as they were, never got much traction and hit big.
@robingottinger1310 he didn't perform on alot of the last tour due to health problems. When he was there he usually didn't perform the whole show. He was not at the Sept 2nd show.Jones doesn't play every Foreigner show, due to ongoing health problems, Pilson said in a February 2023 interview for the RUclips show Kiki Classic Rock (later transcribed in a article for rock and metal website Blabbermouth).
I remember the first time I heard this way back when it first came out with Lou Gramm singing.. Instant appeal. Such a great band, so many songs.. Juke box hero, Head games and I want to know what love is to name a few.. Do some more
This is the current version of Foreigner w/ Mick Jones (guitar) as the only original member... The band that recorded 'Urgent' included - Lou Gramm (lead vocals), Rick Wilis (bass) and Dennis Elliott (drums) in 1981... w/ some session players that had replaced original members of Foreigner (The late Ian McDonald on guitar & keyboards, Al Greenwood on keyboards, and Ed Gagliardi on bass) This live version of 'Urgent' was done w/ Kelly Hansen on vocals (ex- Hurricane), Jeff Pilson on bass (ex- Dokken) and Brian Tichy on drums (session player for Whitesnake, Ozzy, Billy Idol, Slash's Snakepit, etc.)
My old friend Jeff Pilson plays bass and backing vocals for Foreigner. That intro is not originally part of the song, but the sax was always there. They did extend the sax solo it a bit longer and added the shift up a step. Originally the sax was played by Junior Walker from Motown.
I’m so happy to see you like Foreigner! I’m an old timer and I actually saw them live in the 80’s a few times, but back then the original vocalist was still with the band. His name was Lou Gramm and he was awesome. They have many great songs, and a couple you may want to react to are “That was Yesterday” and “Jukebox Hero”. You look beautiful in this video, BTW 😍
Unusual first choice, the most usual one is “I wanna know what love is” this is the one that you might have heard. Great band and great performers, I quite enjoyed the sax performance; interesting fact - quite a few guitarists liked to copy sax solos, it was considered cool!
I was on stream when she did this. It was amazing watching how she did it and got prepped for it. Ray you were soo nervous!! Amazing reaction as always though!! Much love, girl ❤❤❤
If you want to see Foreigner at there peak, you tube....Foriegner with 21st Century Orchestra. I think it was their 40th year together.....All original members !
That's the original saxophone player...he's awesome..check out his freaking neck muscles and the cardio it takes to play that great...he's the best...good job with your reactions
This is what a band looks like when they've seen and done it all. So incredibly tight musically, which allows them to be totally loose on stage and have undeniable fun with it all.
Kelly Hansen (the singer since 2005) was in a hair band called Hurricane. Lou Gramm is the original singer. Jeff Pilson, the bass player, was also in a hair band called Dokken. Mick Jones was the guitarist serenading you. 😉
i would highly recommend you check out the live dvd called live at the rainbow 78. this has the original members nearing the height of their career, amazing!! enjoy!
Wonder if you would be up for checking out a A-Cappella group called HomeFree would recommend you listening to their version of Brothers in Arms or Listen to the Music or their original Playing with Fire I know you love your instruments but trust me with these guy’s voices and the beat boxer they have you want miss them- then it’ll be down the HomeFree rabbit hole who knows you might turn into a home fry like myself
I love Kelly Hansen. He was the singer from a cool band called Hurricane back in the 80s and early 90s. Also a huge fan of Jeff Pilson, former Dokken bass player. I saw Foreigner with this same lineup. It was cool but a big disappointment because they pretty tour based only on their oldest stuff. My favorite Foreigner stuff was their last 2 or 3 albums which they only did one song from. Still a cool show, but for me Night Ranger, who were on the same bill with them were the stars of the night.
Ray do you read the comments at all? This band did a good cover of Urgent, but they are not Foreigner. Please respond to this after listening to the original from the 80s.
I bet you have heard them before but never realised it was them. Waiting for a girl like you or I want to know what love is get played all the time, or used in soundtracks.
I like the part with the seducing guitar, so regarding the seducing, you should check the Fender 50th Anniversary concert and more specifficaly the part with David Gilmour - David Gilmour - The Strat Pack: Live in Concert - 50th Fender Anniversary (2004) - 4K Remastered. Finally we have this remastered
I've seen Foreigner a few years ago with Kelly Hansen instead of Lou Gramm as frontman. And I think Kelly is a inredidible lead vocalist and entertainer. He is running up and down the whole stage and his live vocals are sick! I get why most fans love Lou but I think to hire Kelly as his replacement was the perfect choice. Based on watching and listening to old live videos here on YT I even think Kelly is the better live vocalist of them both (shitstorm incoming xD ). Kelly doesn't deserve the hate he sometimes gets. Especially the high notes in my opinion are better than Lou's.
They are a good tribute band now pretending to be the real thing. If they were honest I'd love to see them, but until they quit pretending to be foreigner they will get hate from me.
The sax is a little drowned-out in this version. At least on the system I'm listening to it on. I think they need to turn up the volume on the sax mic.
This version of band is only Mick Jones and tribute band. This great song from 80s just copied everything in song, respect singer, couldn't have a better to replace legend Lou Gramm. Listen to album song on here, every player then was in Foreigner and better. Got a great one to play for this, and in tour, a better one that after Lou left, he did too, and has been in Billy Joel band since. Only bass player, in other great band in 80s I respect, only one that doesn't try to act to fans, all players great to hear, but singer and solo should only show off, at least to me. There's a original one of this with Lou, that is so great, fans still want to here this in 2010! 💖💋💖
Holy Cow! I was disappointed when I realized this wasn't the original lineup with Lou Gramm singing, but I swear this singer sounds EXACTLY like Lou Gramm in 1982. If I heard this version on the radio, I would think it was him.
This song may sound good to you, but it's only the original guitar player and not one of the others on that stage made this song a hit. You have to listen to it from the 80s to hear how it's supposed to sound. Lou Gramm the original vocalist buries this guy.
I don’t know who this lead singer is, it’s not Lou who sings this so freaking amazingly on record and live.
I believe it is Kelly Hansen who took over for Lou when he left in 2003. I just saw them on Sept 2nd. They were good but not the same without Lou. Lou lives about 2 miles from my daughter. There are no original members left in the group who perform full time.
@@bella-xp7qdYes, Mick Jones the lead guitarist is the last remaining original member.
@robingottinger1310 During last tour he wasn't able to perform every show. He hadn't performed the last few shows due to health issues.
as bella-xp7qd Said, the singer is Kelly Hansen. He was the singer for the 80's band Hurricane. As good as they were, never got much traction and hit big.

Jeff Pilson ex Dokken and ex Dio...one of my bassist favs EVER and EVER!!!!
I’m so happy to see you like Foreigner! I’m an old timer and I actually saw them live in the 80’s a few times, but back then the original vocalist was still with the band. The drummer is so amazing. He even added some nice single accent when using the cymbals bell during the chorous. Never heard this before. Just great!
Always listen to the studio version first. 😍
You need to pull some old stuff with the original members❤Much love from Canada❤🇨🇦

OMG - Head Games is awesome song from Foreigner - you must react to it. It is old school banger. And of course classic "I want to know what love is".
thank u for sharing my pick ray and awesome reaction
Brilliant
such a good song and the sound of that saxophone and mick jones vocals are pretty remarkable too
@@mattgraham2835 mick jones vocals?
Liked the original version better

You need to do the original Foreigner songs with Lou Graham, Mic Jones etc prior to 2003. PLEASE 🙏 I Want To Know What Love Is, and Urgent (original).
Kelly Hansen (the singer since 2005) was in a hair band called Hurricane. Lou Gramm is the original singer. Jeff Pilson, the bass player, was also in a hair band called Dokken. Mick Jones was the guitarist serenading you. 😉
I think I've seen them about 5 or 6 times over a 10-12 year period and they never disappoint.
Blue Oyster Cult is the same way.
i would highly recommend you check out the live dvd called live at the rainbow 78. this has the original members nearing the height of their career, amazing!! enjoy!
i urgently suggest you listen to lou gramm sing this. the original vocalist
If you think the guitar solo is seducing you, wait till the saxophone solo.
Love the song, never seen a live version and this a great watch! You should check out Jukebox Hero as well.. great song!
Sorry, but it's not Foreigner if Lou Gramm isn't singing!! I saw them during the Head Games and Agent Provocateur tours. His voice made the group!
Very Nice

Blast from the past, love it.
Every time I see Kelly Hansen I keep thinking he could pass for Steven Tyler's younger brother such is the resemblance.
I love Kelly Hansen. He was the singer from a cool band called Hurricane back in the 80s and early 90s. Also a huge fan of Jeff Pilson, former Dokken bass player. how disappointing that you get introduced to that song without lou gramm
Why would you react to a cover band doing this song?
Its just not Foreigner without Lou Graham as lead singer
please react to Sharp Dressed Man Nickelback live 2007 I'm such a big fan of your reaction videos. they make me happy and make every day better.
Mick is the only original member of the band. I don't mean to diss on the other guys but clearly they were replaceable. It's always been Mick's band.
Lou Gramm was not replaceable.

First
Not the real one .not lou gram. This is a cover. It's not as good
Kelly Hansen is better
This guy isn’t half as good as Lou as lead singer.
I think he's even better live.
