Actually Bubba that's the only base it come with I done an unboxing video on it and it's never been mounted on a gun. To convert it to 10 mm you take off your thumb screws and turn that plate underneath it over and that converts it to a technically 11 mm dovetail mount
You recommend the Red dot on the rifle, otherwise I am thinking of buying one of these binoculars that you took a video of, I wonder if it will be compatible with the typhoon f12 for the 12 caliber rifle.
I Don't really feel right recommending stuff when it comes to optics cause what works best for me may be entirely different for someone else, but I do like to run a red dot for drill training, lpvos for ranged shooting up to 300-400 yards full on First focal plane scope for past what the lpvo is good for, iron sights for what if scenarios again this is what works for me LPVOs are a good middle ground, ultimately though train with whatever you are comfortable with see what you like no one has the answers for you only you do but if this help you get started than I'm glad to have been help
