Yesterday, for the first time I could see the Holy Spirit in her, as she began praying for others instead of herself. She said she felt deliverance like something “pulled off of her” and she said the lying voice that was on the inside, went to the outside, and the voice in her told her not to listen to the lies. 🙌 All glory to God!

Shout out to that pastor!!! I remember reading the Bible Roman’s specifically, and I was reading through all the chapters up until 6 and I was getting frustrated because I couldn’t interpret the message in that chapter correctly! When I say God HUMBLED me! First off I was getting a little proud and big headed because I was breezing through those previous chapters with no problem! God specifically said to me “This is not your book, and you are not the author. Humble yourself and ask me to guide you through my word!” I closed my Bible, prayed and asked the Holy Spirit to lead me in my fathers word. I kid you not when I opened back up the Bible everything in that chapter became so clear to me! And till this day I PRAY to understand Gods words before reading my Bible!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾😩😩❤️❤️

I’ve seen this video a couple days ago and I was struggling with the same thing. No, I didn’t read the whole Bible cover to cover, but I would jump all over the place, searching for a feeling. The feeling people say that get when they read God’s word, how they feel so much peace, how God was so intimate with them. And God truly spoke to me through this video, and the two things that stuck out to me was “The Bible isn’t about you. It’s for you but it’s about God.” & “Stop looking for yourself, look for God.” and ever since then, I’ve been reading through the Old Testement & have been asking myself these questions: “What is God saying?” “What is He reacting to, and how is He reacting to it?” “What angers Him?” “What makes Him sad?” and more. And our bible studies have now become more intimate 🤍. God will always tell you the problem if you’re willing to listen and obey!

That’s a testimony right there! “I didn’t like Him!” And realising why you don’t like Him - the problem isn’t Him, it’s you!
So refreshing from this modern day false doctrine of “God is love” and “you do you and God loves you”. God is ALL love but also ALL just! He by nature HAS to show us the one true way! That is both loving AND just!
Those truly seeking a relationship with Him are forced by our own intellect to look at ourselves when we realise who God is - and that can make us reject Him if we aren’t able to be humble enough to accept our sin isn’t defendable.
Well done this lady for being honest and not sugar coating her journey. And how much more it means when you testify!

      Jesus said this interesting word:
      John 5:39-40
39 You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me. 40 But you are unwilling to come to me so that you may have life.
The reality is that you cannot be blindsided about Jesus' word. You have to know how He has said that one can approach Him. It's not "going to church." But there is a precise attitude that will lead to following Jesus actually and that will result in a spiritual encounter with Him.

@@yestothetruthugh How?! I have been desperately** and diligently seeking Jesus for decades now and still I haven’t quite found Him. I can’t seem to get to that point of a true encounter with Jesus like what you describe.

    • @yestothetruth
      @yestothetruth 4 месяца назад

@@nodramamomma8691 The key is to come to repentance and do that like the Bible teaches. Many people never hear about that or pay attention to that. Without genuine repentance, it will not be possible to have a relationship with Jesus - know Him - and from that moment begin to abide in Him (stay obedient to Him). Repentance is a turn from disobedience to God in which we all are as sinners to obedience to God out of love for God.
      Acts 20:20-21
20 [You know] how I did not hold back from declaring to you anything that was profitable, teaching you publicly and from house to house, 21 testifying both to Jews and to Gentiles *[1]* repentance toward God, and *[2]* faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Faith implies obedience, so that will take care of continuously abiding in Jesus. But any rebellion or lack of submission to God in humility must have been purged out of the heart in repentance. Sin cannot be taken lightly or as anything other than a crime against God. That is the kind of change of mind about sin that Jesus expects from someone who will be his follower. His word must be obeyed:
      Luke 9:23
And he [Jesus] said to all, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and 👉 follow me."
      James 1:21-22
21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
      James 4:6-8
6 ... “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
This tells you that someone who is not humble and who is not 100% submitted to God will not take sinning seriously enough and that will remain a separation from God in the person's heart. The saving grace of God can't be given in that case. If the person is double-minded also, not 100% focused on doing God's will, then that person won't be ready to walk with God. The commitment for life that God expects will not be there and it will be an issue from the start. In other words, a relationship with God will not happen if all the conditions are not met. And when it does happen according to the teaching of the Bible, it won't be an on and off kind of relationship (meaning a relationship with sin will continue, and most probably the relationship with sin never ended at the point of genuine repentance. I encourage you to study this very topic of repentance and focus on what the Bible teaches, not what many religious “experts” want to say about it.

I did not come to Christ and receive Jesus into my heart until I turned 18 years old.
Then, I was water baptized at Lake Chickamauga in Tennessee by the TVA dam.
It was then that I received the Spirit of GOD and the W.O.G. Came ALIVE!
It is when I had true understanding, deeper understanding of the Holy Scriptures.

Its been like a flower bud opening and revealing a depth, meaning and connections I didnt catch the first time. I needed to be humble open searching and ready. Im thankful Jesus waited so patiently for me. Im grateful for the life experiences that i needed to humble me.

I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith.
So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are by Nirvana".
I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly…
I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling.
He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car.
A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 6 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.

That's our Daddy! This morning I opened.my Bible and it dropped open to Isaiah 53 and 54. I've been seeking him for a particular physical healing, so the verse verse my eyes caught was 53:4, "Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried out sorrows". Its sister verses are Matthew 8:16-17.I read verse 5 as well, remembering the meaning in Hebrew of "healed" (cured, mended, repaired, [made] whole) and, in its sister verse, 1 Peter 2:24, the Greek for "healed". (restored to bodily health)
Then I felt more than thought about Jeremiah 30:17 and grabbed a bunch of pages to start heading there...
I was already there on the first flip. Now, this is an almost new Bible that I haven't made any notes in, it's solely for reading, but it hasn't been "broken in" yet. He's been healing my body for 38 years, two months and one day...
Here we go again! I'm excited to see what he's gonna do, and who will see him as Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer, because of it!!!

Lucifer was the Angel of music, and absolutely disguises himself as God by giving us materialistic things and plays to our ego because he wants to be worshipped and thought of as God. Once you see it, it's impossible to not see.

@@jd3jefferson556 not sure if I can answer it perfectly. The passage is about escalation of conflict regarding sin. There's steps you gotta take.
But what is "sin"? Some Hebrew interpretations mean that you "missed the mark" that you failed to meet some standard. Sin is more than just failing to keep a list of laws, it's failing to love God and your neighbor. It's a code of ethics that takes into account the case by case factors of life. Ethics and standards that came from God, not you.
For the protestant view (and mine) church is supposed to be the entire body of believers that are in Christ, spanning every tribe, nation and tongue. There's more nuance to this but from what I know the church are those who have repented, follow Christ, know what sin is and are producing good fruit (because christ is the vine, we are the branches, thus we make good fruit because of him). Obviously find a congregation that meets your needs and can arbitrate a dispute but be aware God has the final say in all matters.
It's one thing to struggle with sin and know you're in the wrong and understand you need help. It's another thing to sin and be ok with it.

  • @bubblegum_girl
    @bubblegum_girl Месяц назад +1

😮 it is not possible to comprehend the whole bible in 1 year. not without God The Son and the Holy spirit performing a spectacular miracle in that person.
She just read through it, like a summer beachside novella, if only to say the catchphrase "I've read the entire bible". what good is that. I'm so relieved to hear that a teacher advised her to be humble.
there isn't a single human who can do that. it was a wonder for Christ to be teaching at age 10 -- but you can grasp it all in 1 year? you can't even study for a bachelor's sc degree in 1 year, and that would be only in a single particular field! but she thought she could comprehend an overview of human history, the entire macrocosm of time and space, as well as the microcosm of the living cell, all in 1 year? woeful.
anyone who genuinely studies scripture will tell you, when you first start, it's so overwhelming. it took me 2 weeks just to study up on the word "Genesis" -- just the word itself, the word root, what it's prefixes mean, it's usage, as much as I could and I still don't feel I have a 100% grasp on it.
just like there are stars in the universe, those are each 1 point of meaning in God's Words. several stars need to be looked at altogether as a constellation in order to see some further detail hidden otherwise. some stars are not visible to the naked eye. some are only visible at limited times of the year or once in a generation. some stars are new. some have since stopped burning, but the light continues to travel through time and space.
it is a lifetime of study to read what we now call the bible.
there was once only the first 5 books of Moses (genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers, deuteronomy) as a single unit. More than 40 different authors of the 66 books and letters, separated by 11 different languages, entirely different regions and territories, from all walks of life peasants to princes, all writing over 1,500+- years, not even counting in the apocrypha or lost manuscripts...
there was no such thing as a "bible" from the start, the fact that all of their individual writings compile into a perfect mosaic of historical account, teaching christian law and ethics, even prophesying Christ and more, is a big bang just to understand. the sheer improbability of it's creation is a wonder, yet it is now the number 1 printed book in the world, available in every language, everyone has heard of it and continues to report back spiritual experiences correlating to what is written.
studying it though, will humble anyone. just to comprehend some meanings lost in translation is a task unto itself (for example why we say "Amen", coming from the hebrew "Emunah". literally "I believe" as that is your promise in what you have spoken to God).
Studying further we find the images that the hebrew alphabet letters were based on also is so important. It reflected Christ and His True Nature (for example, when He was resurrected from death, and His disciples were in shock, He offered Thomas: His hand. to behold. the nail. behold. YHWH).
There are also historical differences that will impact the context of the actions, or words said. (for example, it was flat out ILLEGAL to even approach a leper, they were locked outside of the city gates. when Jesus put His very Hands on their bodies! to heal them. it wasn't like visiting a lovely granny in a hospital bed, it was more like holding hands with someone criminalised, going into their dark locked dungeon, and freeing them as a changed person, despite having been left to die there before. are you allowed to just walk into maximum security prisons? yet Christ advocated for them, and for all of us still, and we can all just walk out of our sins free).
in the same way there isn't a single doctor able to know the entire human body, other than Christ. no physician right now can treat both your eye as well as your ear as well as your toe and then kidneys -- you will need to see a different "specialist" for each ailment, and even then you might need help from the whole department just to identify what the ailment is.
Don't try to speed-read what we now call the bible, you just can't. who is able to watch a movie on 1500x it's speedrate and even hear one word or understand a single thing? 😂
Join a study group or a study course, get a pen and a notebook, pray for help! and use the resources available -- the dictionaries, the original text comparisons, you're already on youtube -- here are so many excellent sermons recorded and uploaded by excellent people.
keep well dear saints, and don't be so foolish as to think the bible is nothing more than a book ✨️

I was a Christian for over forty years. I was told and believed it was god's word. All about him, and secondly how it could be applied to me.
I listened to and read all the reasons and proofs Christians gave why the Bible and Christianity was true and believed them, even though i had doubts.
Until the cognitive dissonance became too much and i had to have a serious introspection give serious consideration to non Christian arguments and evidence.
And my belief came crashing down.
Now i read the Bible with fresh eyes, seeing the Bible written by people in their time and what they think their god is.
    And it's horrible.

I remember a Christian telling me I can’t pick and choose what bible verses I like. I replied that HE couldn’t do that, but as an atheist, I could. I could take the good and leave the rest while he was stuck trying to harmonize notes that don’t go together. That man reminded me that Christians are usually more interested in defending their religion rather than living the way it tells them to live.

    • @nancylowe2692

Atheists believe in God, but not the same God that Christians believe. They replace God with themselves. They don't feel the need to worship anyone or anything because they can live moral lives without a higher power. I can't say that I KNOW God lives or that Jesus is His Son. But I do BELIEVE it. When I read the Bible or the Book of Mormon and they testify of Christ, it touches me in a way that no other type of literature can. When I pray with real intent & humility, EXPECTING an answer, I am filled with such a feeling of love and wonder & confirmation that HE Is REAL. He does love us. Each of us. So much that He allowed His Son as a sacrifice to make it possible for us to return to Him when this life is over. Because no unclean thing can be in His presence. By believing in the Son and asking forgiveness of our sins, we become clean! And are able to dwell with Him again. Just like we lived with Him before this Earth life, except we will have resurrected bodies. This life is just a test. We came to Earth to get a body, to form family units and to see if we will be obedient to the laws He gave us. Scriptures just give us a road map, sort of.
This was too long, but I feel sad when I read about atheism and agnosticism. Please don't stop believing. Even just the desire to believe is like planting a little seed. With water (prayer), sunlight (scripture study) and good soil (faith) it will grow into a beautiful tree and give much fruit!
      ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

@@nancylowe2692 Is the only reason you give to "Don't stop believing," , really to "Hold on to that feeling"?
Feelings don't mean something is right. Faith is not a means to discover what's true. It's actually the opposite. Faith can lead you to trust in any unreliable absurdity. What you're describing is called emotional priming. It's a method of manipulation by inducing strong emotions.
I hope you're one day able to free yourself from such destructive practices.

YeeeeeAaaaaahhhhsssss!!! Sing it, Soul Sister! The 2nd read through is where the magic happens! For real.
The 1st is to like slog through the language and all the “begat”s so you get who’s who.
The 1st round is like a mud run. You’re just glad it’s over. You’re tired and kind of stinky and sore about it.
But the 2nd is like a springboard. Because you can start to recognize patterns in the stories. And see bloodlines… and understand the humanity as it interacts with divinity.
And if you’re very lucky 🍀 you might meet Jesus there. When you chose to elevate yourself from the level of your own limits of understanding by reading about Him, about the Lord.
After the 2nd time you realize what you just read is a stepping stone on the pathway to Heaven.
And you start to crave more, deeper understanding, experience, and wisdom.

Exactly how I felt. After I came to grips with what was the norm of the culture at that time, I realized how special God’s chosen people were. They had their faults but were morally better. So rereading the Bible became not offensive but beautiful. So much wisdom. It will carry us all through tough times.
