Great memories..... crazy how time changes everything,....its 2024 and Gary Carter lost his life so young..... Lenny with all his criminal charges.... Doc and Darryl have dealt with nightmare addiction..... and Keith and Darling are a fixture in the Mets booth. Definitely some personalities on this team!!

In 1987 I worked at a Snapper lawn equipment dealership in Queens. Snapper were huge Mets Sponsors. I was at Shea Stadium a couple times a week. It was either comped tickets from the groundskeepers and purchasing agents or organized corporate events in the Diamond Club or the outfield picnic area.

Keith Hernandez' RBI to make it 9-5 served as a microcosm of his career. Hernandez' offensive style fills the bill of an ideal "2 slot" hitter, namely with a leadoff hitter with 40+ stolen bases, he drives in 100 by contemporary standards.⚾🇺🇸

Cool to watch McDowell in 2024.....who would ever have thought he'd wind up as a Braves pitching coach?? Almost seems inexcusable....😂

good team, if they hadnt lost ojeda with a fluke injury and strawberry and gooden in april they would have won a few more games and not only win the division but championship.
