I don't remember if that is still a think with taming bees, but you need them to feed your hives still. It seems taming bees has gotten a lot more difficult!

after a few beehive hunts, I've noticed its a lot easier to just stock up on bug repellent and rare flowers then attack the nest with a carno or rex, no suits needed if the mount has around 300-400 melee.

the reason why the queen bee was trapped inside the/a beehive is that beehives on ragnarok often spawn inside of each other, so that you have *stacked beehives* at the spawn points. ...good vor gathering honey, bad for summoning queen bee`s...
I havent played on ragnarok yet, but i think it could also be due to the 'destroywilddinos' command. Maybe the command kills the bees in all the hives, but not the hives themselves. Then ark thinks the Spot is emtpy since there isnt any bees and spawns a 2nd on inside. I used destroywilddinos a lot in my save and in some spots in the redwoods theres like 5 hives in the same spot, but not a Single one spawns a queen.

Yeah not what someone looking for tips wants to see. A bunch of mistakes, bugs, and unique occurrences. If it wen this poorly he should have just recorded and edited a better attempt. Even after watching I still don't feel like I know how to go about this.
@@relayz6555 Its actually much much easier than this... Best way is to get a wyvern and have it bite the hive his long neck means his hit box is far behind its damage zone. So it will kill all bees before they dismount you. Then back peddle as you bite the ones that follow the queen. Becareful with your range so you don't hit the queen. Then feed the queen the flowers and bam done.
KEK MY DECK Can you be more specific? I searched a wild hive, no wax just honey. I broke 2 hives, no beeswax. Tamed the 2 queens, put down the 2 hives with flowers and they don't produce wax, only honey.

Use a trike. Walk right up, hit until queen comes out. The very wide hit of the trike stops you from getting stung.

I know this is 2 years ago, but I just got to a point of needing mass hives, and redwoods heeds a LOT of beehives.
The seemed to add a lot more new hives to the maps than when they were first introduced.

Anyone kniw why whenever I tame the giant queen bee, they mesh? It comes logs saying that it has been anti meshed
How not to get a bee hive? JK thanks for the info. I use the pull feature on a close by refrigerator to pull them. They will also pull when crafting.

You can wear a hazmat suit and when the hives placed bees won’t attack

Check close to the castle northwest on top of the mountain. Not at the tiny swamp, but west at the same level of the swamp
