    My BH serves do cause trouble to players but I never understood what spins I made....cos they are often randomly done. After watching this, I finally got it. thx !

    thank you for the great tips. I've always wanted to have good BH serves, they are so underrated. Look at how Ovtcharov is successful with his BH serves. People eventually get used to them after a while but his BH serves still create a lot of problems for his opponents.
    Thanks and looking forward to your next video.

    I think it's important to note to get some backspin, the paddle has to be coming forward toward the opponent. If you were to hit the pure bottom of the ball but swing sideways, that ball will be corkscrew with a lot of jump off the bounces but it will not be backspin. For backspin, you have to hit the bottom and to some degree be coming forward.

    I will try it out next week! I thought about training my BH serves before I watched your video and I guess I will use some wooden toy blocks to aim at with the different types of spin.

    The problem, as you see it youself, when you start to disguise, your increase your mistakes considerably.

    • @ebatt8803
      @ebatt8803  4 года назад

      Leo Taxil not necessarily, I don’t practice my backhand serve. It’s a serve I used to use as a player but now that’s many moons ago. My point is if you are developing a higher level of serve (disguise) it will be harder and more susceptible to more mistakes. But that’s ultimately down to the player who practices or not. With prat is the unforced errors will be dramatically reduced

    • @LeoTaxilFrance
      @LeoTaxilFrance 4 года назад

      @@ebatt8803 I do NOT speak about you. I appreciate your videos, I do not have any doubt about your tennis skills and your are a very good "explainer".
      My point was, that it would take as much time to learn to disguise as it takes to learn a serve as such. At least at my experience. When I see that my serve is good and I start to disguise it, I discover that I can not do any more my serve. Table tennis needs quite a lot particular qualities (more than in tennis) and not everybody have them. I have not.
