And so I present: 8 Mistakes YOU Need to Avoid Making in Burning Crusade - WoW Classic TBC
Number 1 Know your pre-raid Best in Slot Gear
In vanilla WoW a lot of your pre-raid best in slot gear came from drops in dungeons, or professions. In TBC, surprisingly a lot of it comes from quests. What this means is that you could choose the wrong item while questing because you either are leveling as a different spec than you plan on raiding, or you weren’t paying attention, or you just simply didn’t know it was your pre-raid best in slot item. For me to help you avoid this, in the description below I’ll link to a spreadsheet outlining every class and spec’s pre-raid best in slot gear. And if you think that it’s only an item or two, let’s look at a few Hunter pieces:
Helm of the Claw, from The Warlord’s Hideout - a Steamvault Quest
Earthen Mark of Razing, from Gurok the Usurper - a Nagrand Quest
Shalassi Sentry’s Epaulets, from Rescue Deirom / Dugar! - a Terokkar Forest Quest
And even Delicate Green Poncho, from Bring me The Egg! - a Nagrand Quest.
Most weapon slots have a pre-raid best in slot item from a quest, so take a look at the sheet, and be aware when you’re entering each zone if there’s a quest to look out for. Not only to make sure to choose the right item, but make sure you do that quest.
Number 2 Pick the Right Class
In TBC class balance has been shaken up and I’m sure you’ve seen the memes where a warrior turns into a warlock as TBC is announced. While it’s a joke and nobody wants to be made fun of for being a meta-chaser, it’s worth doing a bit of research about how each class performs in PvP, PvE, Battlegrounds and Arenas.
Because if you want to be a hardcore raider, but you go melee dps, you’re going to have a harder time being successful than if you were a warlock or a hunter. But if you want to PvP day and night, then being a melee dps like a Rogue is a great idea. Of course Warlocks are also incredible in PvP which is why they are the new meta - great in pretty much any scenario. Hunter’s deadzone was also removed, but don’t be mistaken they still cant shoot ranged attacks when in melee range, it’s just that they are able to either melee attack or range attack instead of being able to do nothing when an enemy is in their deadzone between the two. There are a lot of videos out on how classes changed and new TBC class balance. I’ve made a few videos on the topic, but shop around and find one you like to learn about what class is right for you. And at the end of the day, the class that’s right for you is the one you enjoy playing.
Number 3 Know which reputations to farm for your class/profession
Depending on what class and profession you pick grinding certain reputations are going to be more important than others. For example, Scryer vs Aldor.
These are two factions introduced as you enter Shattrath City the first time, and you can only choose to side with one faction. If you later decide to switch, it will take a lot of work to get the faction you didn’t choose the first time up, since any reputation gained with one faction, decreases your reputation with the other.
It’s important to choose the right faction also because there are certain items from each of those reputations that are right for one class/spec and wrong for the other. Typically spell casters go Scryer and non-spell casters go Aldor.
This isn’t always true though, so check out a full list of what you can get from each reputation and compare before making your dec...

Love the advice on dungeons to honored then doing quests. I made the mistake of strictly doing the quests then trying to do dungeons to revered and it was terrible
You'll almost be forced to do dungeon spam because of the amount of people who will be questing - no quest mobs - but that principle is good to do for all reps where possible.
Blizzard confirmed its revered and not honored so.. Get used to the grind lol

Here's more of a tip rather than a mistake.... If you're a healer.... Start farming your dark runes/demonic runes now!! You don't want to be lvl 70 with tons of things to do in Outlands yet you need to farm lvl 60 consumables
And/or shadowpriest

@@johanlahti84 Mages shouldn't need to farm these as much because their mama gem I'm tbc gives you three charges rather than one in vanilla.

@Big Spun of course not. This is to keep people from instantly going into heroics and still having a reason to do things like nonheroic shattered halls for at least the first phase of the game.
Having a few tailoring/enchanting alts can be MASSIVE passive income throughout the xpac! Great video Toyhouze! Keep it up man, loving it!
What’s the value of multiple enchanting alts? I understand that tailoring will allow for multiple spellcloth cool downs or whatever, curious about enchanting though?

You’ve earned a sub your videos are great. Really looking forward to TBC where I did most my original wow gaming as a kid. I quit Classic after ZG, I just got bored of raiding. I didn’t end up coming back but I’m excited for TBC classic. I’ve been leveling a warlock in classic the last few days just because I found I enjoy the class. Now I’m remembering how insane Locks are in TBC and thinking of maining this new toon. I played warrior/mage in classic.

I like the spreadsheet and how it has all the classes and stat weights in one place. As a raid leader this is really nice to have one document to deal with rather than individual lists for all. However, I am sad to see that classic items are not included in the BiS lists. Many classes have top 5 pre-raid BiS items that are from Classic, but aren't on this spreadsheet.

The last tip can not be stressed enough. I know people tend to focus on the cost of epic flying, but farming and gold farming are going to be necessary if you intend to progress in TBC. Not only with being able to have your consumables and get some strong crafted gear. But even more importantly with obtaining resistance gear for your tanks and your raid. Do not depend on others to have your guild ready with those. Put the effort in to assure that your guild will be ready.

"whom" is the person that receives the action, "who" is the one doing the action (to drop).

I like that picture with warrior changing to warlock... because that's exactly what I'm doing. Warrior was already ridiculously overplayed and now I know I'll just be fucked on slots in outlands. Already leveled the warlock to 60 before my sub ran out, got a dreadsteed and everything. I plan to turn the old warrior into strictly an arena char/daily quest char.

at 2:00 you highlight some pre raid bis for hunters but I can't find any quest that gives those specific shoulders and also theres a leather helm you can get from a quest in Shadowmoon valley called Stealther's Helmet of Second Sight which has 24 agility, 18 stamina, 3 socket slots and 13 hit rating, 60 attack power. Wouldn't that helm be much better?

Farm gold for the first fly mount too, you need it to finish the KZ quest....
Just looked at the pre-raid bis gear for holy priest (my main) and I notice that you don't mention any T3 gear. For example the OH from Saph is on par with the best item on the list. I know the difference in T3 and TBC pre- raid bis can be marginal.
My biggest mistake altogether was typing anything in any chat 90% of the time. It's quite comical to observe since I am in no way hostile or antagonistic but I feel like a villain without people even telling me why.

i remember being pissed that the RAVEN mount dropped by the RAVEN boss and requires level 70 to use .... was not a flying mount. WTF!!!! ravens fly dammit
Unless ur looking to min max that 0.01% picking aldor over scryer of vice versa makes no difference, you can easily complete content without picking either at all

Huh? Hunters definitely had deadzones in TBC, unless they removed it right before the end?? Actually I even thought they may have had it in some of wrath at least but I'm foggier on that.
Yeah it was removed in a later patch. They still can't shoot at melee range, but there is no in between range and melee where they can't do anything
I think both Aldor and Scryer rewards are meh

Aww! Poor Orcs only now have an overpowered passive racial, instead of an insanely idiotic overpowered passive racial? 😟 I am _so_ sorry Orcs! 😭 All of those times I tried to open with a stun on an Orc, with my Alliance Rogue and the Orc resists it? Aww! 😁 They should've nerfed it to 3% or so. Warriors have to put talent points to get an even smaller amount of stun resist, if memory is correct. You know the makers of WoW played a lot of Orcs in PvP. No one in their right, _fair_ mind would ever give any race 25% chance to resist stuns as a passive racial.

Diplomacy is the most overrated racial ever. It is literally 10%. And it soon becomes useless as you play. 10% for somethign that has a cap.
If i was playing Alliance, i'd much rather be able to drop all druid/warrior/rogue bleeds/poisons, or escape a Shatter combo, ..forever!

Would you really trade a say ~0.5% stat increase for a stun, or interrupt, or escape? You're nuts.
Hardiness even though nerfed, is still very good. And combined with the improved Blood Fury, and Command, makes the Orcs a great all around choice.
Then you got Bloodelves which is just ridiculous game design from Blizzard. Take the most popular race, put it in the most popular faction, and give it the best racial. Genious! Fuck faction balance.
Warstomp is just a "poor man's Arcane Torrent", and they also get that sweet 5% HP, so why not. Nightelf druids would kill for that stun.
Not much i can say about WotF. As good as AT.
Escape Artist is the only good racial on Alliance side, especially if you're a warrior without a paladin buddy. And quite reliable with it's 1' cd.
Stoneform is "ok". But can easily be played-around by average players.
Perception is a joke cause it can't see through Vanish anyway, and enemies know to stay away from you until it fades.
Shadowmeld, lol. Some times you'll manage to make it work and get one or two extra ticks from drinking and that's about it.
Berserker is "ok".
And GotN is just a fuckin joke for not scaling.
Horde was not dominant when tbc launched. Things were far more balanced than they are today.

Rofl... these class ratings... Hunter 7/10 BG/Arena and open world PvP? Try 4/10, maybe. Hunters are hands down the least threating class in TBC. They are good at raid DPS, that's it. As with anything, a good player can make any class shine but they are absolutely not 7/10 in pvp. I did tons of arena/BGs in TBC. not ONCE did I say "oh god, theres a hunter on the other team" or "man this hunter is really pushing my shit in, what an OP class"
I mean drain teams are pretty popular and hunters are a key component there. Season 1 they pump pretty hard as people have no resilience either, so wouldn't be giving them a 4/10 for early tbc.
@@biggriz2690 its not 7/10 at least. I cant think of a class I'm less afraid of than a hunter. Maybe the hurt mages/priests but not the classes i play.
@@Cruor34 they are pretty prevalent in high rated 3s so 7/10 seems reasonable. If you're playing a class that makes them look like a 4 that's fine, but chances are you'll look like a 4 to other classes (mainly talking arena).
