Musicians give yourself permission to sound bad

Giving yourself permission to sound bad feels wrong and counterintuitive, I know! As a musicians, we all want to sound, not just “good”, but so amazing that we transcend the activity of simply “playing music”, to being awe inspiring in a way that hasn’t even existed before you picked up your instrument/sang. i never use templates...i often use plugins for purposes they weren't intended for....i basically try to avoid doing things where i can truly say i know what i'm doing (except when i'm at work which is not doing music)...i never try to mix a song in 15-minutes....any discussion of work-flow puts me to sleep...i always understand when embarking on a track you have every possibility of creating a disaster or just complete dull nonsense. that said i do give myself permission to have fun and...hope something good happens in the process.
