Also I forgot to tell you to check out 2nd gen Colorado's & canyons on FB. Great community of people, we just did a trail run a few weeks back (socal) and had about 11 Colorado's and Canyons come out... alot of fun!
I am on the page as well and posted pictures of this overland trip. I saw the meet up but I already had plans. Whenever the next meet up trip is down there I'll be sure and try to make it. I really only want to drive though if its an overnight 4x4 trip. It's a long way to drive for a one day 4x4 trip.
Both of these truck owners don't know how to off-road and recover a stranded vehicle. 1st) roll up your windows, especially in a new truck, when treading through water/mud. 2nd) Slowly and gently tug on the tow rope to take up the slack and then, pull said stranded vehicle. I'm a Army Vet who recovered a lot of heavy ass military vehicles stuck in some very deep mud. I've seen steel cables snap and dam near kill a soldier. Be safe out there.
The water wasn't deep why would I roll up the windows? lol 2nd, he tried to slowly pull me out but we couldn't get out that way so he gave me a little tug. You must not have done many recoveries in the "army" GTFO
It's nothing to brag about! Drag racing in sand and stones with a Tacoma catching up to a diesel powered Canyon! Of course you will catch 181 hp with 268! Try a 308 hp Canyon or Colorado! It a different story!
Your videos are great, they should be longer
