That intro movie is criminal even for the standards of 1994. I get low-budget, but the pacing is awful and sound design is just not there. One wonders who could have watched that and gone "great, ready to ship". Then again, when you see the gameplay, maybe it's not so strange after all...
What game can you give as an example of a high standard for the era? This is pretty typical of a 1993 fmv game (it's not 1994). Also the uploader did not capture all the sound and music of the video properly. Go search for another upload of the intro with proper audio recording.
