350,000 every 7 days - for another 3 years? I’d clean the stadium with the cleaning staff and live life to the fullest.
Exactly what I have been saying. That's almost 39 million quid. I'd be so unbothered Winston Bogarde style. Show up, do a bit of training, always be punctual, respectful. Be so unproblematic in such a way that they can't try and accuse me of anything. Easiest £350 000 he's ever going to earn.
I’d clean the other players boots with my tongue 👅 for that money 💴
That’s why you guys aren’t pro footballers

Which would suggest that those concuring are also hearing the audio jump and skip every few seconds with certain words being unintelligible.
But you and the other sh*tposting d*ckheads can carry on declaring that the audio is absolutely fine though.
Why does the audio keep crapping out?
Everything about TalkSport is complete and utter shite, and the audio is no exception.
You’re partly deaf, the sound is elite
Chelsea have treated Sterling appallingly! I mean, paying him nearly £40 million in wages in return for absolutely nothing of note other than a seriously bad attitude. Absolutely appalling!. Seriously, you clowns need to listen to yourself.
Bad attitude, how???
@@uzomaobijuru8573 The fact that his representatives go to the media to complain about him not being picked rather than him showing-up to training everyday and proving the manager wrong. His attitude sounds narcissistic and entitled. He sounds like he thinks he's undroppable. His performances have proved otherwise. Never seen a worse performance by someone than what he did against Leicester in the FA Cup last season. It was shocking. That free kick he kicked out of the ground. He should have been given his marching orders after that game.
@@lovejoy3347 Sorry this is a bad take, from what we’ve heard the Manager has told Sterling prior to the season starting that he’s not part of his plans and weve seen already when a manager states this there’s no amount of hardwork/good attitude/determination from Sterling that will change the mindset of the manager. This happens all the time in football
@@lovejoy3347 something that happened on Sunday!

Some peeps really need to get in touch with reality....It would take me about 16 years to earn that, (after tax) and I am at the top of my profession!
Sterling should just sit there and collect his salary and not leave
But he won't, because he knows image is everything and the danger is he will just vanish into the sunset.
Neymar, Ali, Pato, Hazard, Ozil, did that and look where they ended up.
@@neovarleydownes9109 He, like those you just mentioned, are finished anyway! There's no more glory for Sterling so he might as well just lay about the place and collect the wage

It’s funny, Simon will tell a PLAYER to accept he’s not wanted by his club despite having a contract, yet if a player wants the CLUB to accept he wants to leave- Simon will remind the player they have a contract…. I swear Simon hates footballers, always in club owner mentality 😂😂😂😂
These things are not contradictory. He didn’t say the player has to leave, he says they have to accept it, doesn’t mean they have to leave. Same way Brentford have to accept Toney wants to leave, but they don’t have to sell.
@@civildiscourse7626 yep, he's a tool and it's plain to see. But when you think about it Simon may also be under contract 🤔

@@derelict06 5:44 Raheem can take his money or can have INTEGRITY and leave… does he ever suggest owners lack integrity when they keep players who want to leave? No he laments the players for wanting to leave when they have a contract 😅
The contract means the club has to pay him. Not play him. The contract means a player cannot leave without the club’s acceptance. This is reality. It is poor of Chelsea though from an ethical point of view, but also from a business point of view. They benefit from selling/loaning him.
When it all crumbles Maresca will be the scapegoat for the mess that is going on ABOVE him. He is being used as a mouthpiece. This is not Maresca speaking but the Chelsea board.
It's why he was chosen for the job and why poch left after the meeting
Maresca is getting £5m plus a Season, to make it work, I am sure he will get over it.

As a Raheem fan I don't think this is even an argument. Accept his fate yes take his £300k a week for the next 3 years YES there's no problem here
Players walk out on clubs to "level up" all the time Clubs do the same in reverse nothing to see here
I think it's pretty clear that Maresca is a yes man and has been told by Clearlake to freeze Sterling out because of his massive wages. Massive wages given to him under Clearlake.
Sterling was one of their best players last season.
This isn't about football it's about finances.
the bit i dont get is the manager saying pre-season he's going to be involved and then before the 1st game being told he wont be involved at all. There is something wrong there.
Sterling and his team are talking shite
Maresco will be sacked before the end of the season. How do get rid of an experienced player like Sterling.
In the words of Paul Merson why do fans care what a club is paying a player the money isn’t coming from your pocket and your life isn’t affected by it so stop pocket watching and find a different argument 😂😂😂
Why is my shoe shine boy talking this much. Just shine my shoes.
The fans are paying for it. Ticket prices sky high. Football shirts ridiculous prices £80 +. A kit for a 12 year old costs at least 70 quid. Fans r paying
Merson again proves he hasn't much of a clue. Where does he think the money comes from apart from sponsorship?
They only seem to raise this issue when it comes to ethnic players
@@D1Snr makes sense. They are the players that rarely earn their salaries. White dudes just play better and harder.

Send him HIS money, though, for his family coffers. Send him HIS money! Yes! 😊
Why does it mean Sterling hasn’t accepted Chelsea’s decision. He asked for clarity.
Chelsea is not serious themselves, they signed a contract with Sterling. Pay him off and let him go. Not all this leap service. Players are constantly told to respect the contract.
Sterling has 3 years left on his contract, which equates to £46.8 million!
He has a shed load of England caps and winners medals from his time at City
I'd advise him to chill & sit tight ...where else can you be rested from your job of work and collect £325,000 every week?
I hope Sterling, Chalobah etc all say okay thats fine id you dont want me but im not leaving. And slowly drag them down financially so their owners have to start managing the club properly.
Doubt those two alone would affect them financially the can do that and play with the under 21 for the next 3 years cause u not playing first team football for sure
Who is going to want to pay those wages to Sterling. Another martial
@keshianfrancis4845 no but they have 40 players, eventually if they all start refusing to be bought and sold haphazardly, the hierarchy will need to change their business model.

Why does Simon Jordan say ‘Gonverzation’?
The biggest problem we have at Chelsea to Dannys good point is that we have a squad full of Egos but not one leader amongst them!!!
Enzo Fernandez is a very strange choice of captain
What egos… these are young boys, there has never been any rifted between them ever. It’s the experienced players with the egos… sterling and for a time Thiago or his wife I should say.
@@adrianbennett3761 The most clear cut captain we have btw
@@vPzWalkerx Blimey. That seems like a poor state of affairs with all the players signed. At one point Sterling was being mentioned as a possible captain when Cesar Azpilicueta left. Two more signings, get rid of the dross and a period of stability would be good
No you have a squad full of egos but none of them are particularly good at football 😂
Simon, he would not get into the other top teams because they have better players, at Chelsea he IS one of the best players, but due to money and politics they try to squeeze him out of the club.
I am struggling one-of the best players last year we had programs devoted to why is Sterling being booed off the pitch how dare he grab the penalty off Palmer the hypocrisy is off the scale
If only someone would tell Postman Pat he’s not wanted on this show.
All the time when players are settling in they bring up the brouhaha to distort . Chelsea is noted for that .
I think the sound editor of this video should leave along with Raheem Sterling.
He's become a selfish player who finds it difficult to fit into a system because he wants a free rein. He's not that good...
Neto and Felix have come in, both younger and their combined wages are less than Sterlings alone. Someone has to go so it has to be the expensive, older and underperforming one. it makes sporting and business sense
Sterling should cut down his weekly wages to 180k /wk… and Chelsea will integrate him back into the squad.. it’s that simple … he was never a 325k / week player ..
It is not only about the salary. They were hoping a MUG would come and give them 30million for him. You can see them twerking for saudis a mile away.
what a dumb suggestion. Would you almost halve your salary?
@@laneyjwell a sacrifice has to be made by both parties. He can rot away at home while collecting his 325k. Look at lukaku. He had to take a significant pay cut. Chelsea hasn’t been paying any portion of his wages for the past 2 years
@@andregardner5478 he has 3 years left on his deal. If I were him, I'd sit and force the club to adapt.
@laneyj that's you. You may not have Sterling level money or his desire to play and get back in the English team. Hence why players like lukaku and Felix take a pay cut to leave a team they are no longer needed. Different levels
Tell Gallagher the same english media so inconsistent or should I say there are some player on the "coincidental list". Give Chelsea a break, and let them handle their own affairs
Simon also said anyone can score a 100 goals for Man City as he tried to discredit Sterling's stats. Well i dont see Grealish coming anywhere near that total. If it is so easy why hasn't he scored bucket loads too?
This is not Maresca’s problem. The players surplus to requirements are being moved away from the playing squad. Interaction between these and their agents is not with the manager but with the sporting directors. Sterling has not delivered regardless of his perceived experience.
Loses possession too often, can’t keep the ball. Overrated, due his positioning that he can’t be criticised, because if you do it’s for one reason only.
Danny Murphy is one of the best at talksport
What has been sterling impact in chelsea team since he was brought in... He is the highest paid player for footballing sake and he hasnt live up to expectation. What advantage did have?
Never SJ say that same about Alan Shearer when he did not warrant being picked for England and was non effective for Newcastle.. not the same kindness to a player who gave England and Clubs 100% ... but Simon will push back on the optics of observation 😂😂
Greed is killing Chelsea. Why buy players you don't need!
Chelsea is cutting the wage bill per player to below 100k a week. Which is why they are trying to offload Lukaku and sterling. James may be next if he could stay fit
Norman Collier would be proud of that audio
His ego can’t handle it.
Doesn't seem like the kind of guy with a huge ego. He's holding up his end of the contract, he's fit and he's still quality. You don't like him? Well come up with a solution. It's not his problem. Management gets a salary of their own to put these deals together. If they don't learn a lesson, they won't get fired and the same will happen again. This is what management and the lawyers get paid to do! Sterling hasn't said a word. His manager asked for clarification. SO? Is he evil for wanting to know their intentions with 10 days left in the window? It was complete incompetence on their part or an attempt to intimidate him, and pressure him with hate from the fans and the press. He should hold on for a year. Most likely their season will be terrible and after all of this, they'll have new management.
He's gash. Move on If you want game time or stay and get paid big with no game time
This is nothing new. Sanchez done the same thing to arsenal a few years back. It’s the mad man contracts that have caused this. There’s nothing wrong with letting a player go in negotiations because he’s asking for what he is not worth.
Maresca has said he’s coaching 22 players.
The people saying Sterling shouldn't be bothered because he's getting £350,000 a week....
That is why you guys would never be Sport Stars. Sterling has pride, and playing football at a top level is more important
We will see how much pride he has , He can either go and play football or stay and cry that the manager doesn't want him. So we will see how much pride he really has , time will tell
Didn’t seem to have much pride when he played like the absolute waster he is last season did he lol
Pride….there’s no passion in football nommire and Chelsea started the trend.
Remember when the likes of Parker, Duff, Motta and captains of other clubs were happy to sit on the bench in the mourinhio era
Hahahahaha
The audio track is so poor that this is totally unlistenable. Just about what you'd expect from TalkSport.
Crazy… A player doesn’t do anything wrong at the start of the season and was told everything is all good during pre season is then shun…
This is all wrong and everyone would be up in arms if he was a main starter with England

If i was Sterling i wouldn't leave unless the deal was right. Just continue to train with the reserves and collect his wages. Hes in a win win situation
Chelsea would have to pay at least half his wages not a little bit 😂😂
If someone came in and offered him £500k a week to play in the PL how loyal do we think Sterling would be? How loyal would most of those playing in the PL be? Some run down there contracts and leave precisely because they want to make larger bank.
When they should the club have to be "loyal" to a player who has woefully underperformed for nearly two years. A player who always had an end date to his contract?

No, they don't need him. Chelsea should pay half his salary (and save half) because they wrote the contract and that's what THEY get paid to do, and maybe a team like Tottenham can pick up the rest. I'm sure Sterling could take slightly less from Tottenham just to get some playing time, but he should hold Chelsea to their end of the bargain, because they seem to have very low character and want to use the press to pressure him into making a mistake with only 10 days to sign with a new club. Pure evil!
I really hope that Sterling choose to stay and see out his contract, same with with Stilwell and all the other guys Chelsea FC try to force out !!
this isn't marescas decision its the ownership, he's just going along with what they say
Sterling performance so far is too poor to compare with the payment he's receiving. He can go.

Chelsea were the ones who signed him on that contract so now they have to pay him out

This is harsh. What the player has lost is momentum. I have no doubt that if he has a fair shake, he will still be a very good player. In this case, I think that sterling and others have been treated badly by Chelsea. People are victim bashing here because his representatives have made a statement that the press released at an inappropriate time. Move on and play at a better club.
Under performance warrants a sack the players have to know no matter how long your contract is if u keep underperforming u must be force out

Basically, that is it.
The club is being run as a business now, not as a football club any longer.
There main goal was to lower the wage bill which they have done drastically.
Long performance incentive contracts to keep finances in check allowed a "scatter gun" approach in attempts of finding the next superstars not just buying the current ones.
I believe that's the transfer strategy in short.
